From Turn 10

Hi everyone,

We're aware of an issue with an issue with today's Porsche Car Pack for FH3. This issue is affecting Xbox One players; in-game players will see a "Marketplace Error" screen when attempting to purchase the pack. In the Xbox Store, players can purchase the pack, but will be unable to install the pack.

This is a known issue and the team is busy working to resolve it as soon as possible. We will update this thread as soon as we have more information to share.

Thanks,
Brian

With as slow as my internet has been, a 1.49 Gb update is going to take several hours. I'm going to update overnight and hopefully everything will be available tomorrow morning.

I'm also having trouble making my system recognize / install my purchase. How convenient!

Did anyone else receive the Warthog, Shelby pre-order car and Duracell GTA Spano with the update? I have no idea why I got them in my garage now.

I have been told by @ManteoMax that this is a side-effect of some gifting that Turn 10 did overnight.

Basically, anybody that didn't get the free Duracell GTA Spanio last month got one last night, but Turn 10 also accidentally sent all of the Pre-Order cars to those people, even if they don't own the DLC.

Much like the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, you won't be able to use these cars unless you buy the DLC.

I also got all the preorder cars when I logged on to get the Porsches.

This means two things:
1) FM7 WILL HAVE PORSCHE AT LAUNCH!!!!
2) It's entirely possible they just inked a deal, like the one EA had....uh oh...
Turn 10/Microsoft also have or have had partnerships with Ford and Ferrari, and exclusivity has never been as much of an issue as it was with EA/Porsche. Depending on the wording of the agreement there may be a chance that certain cars come to Forza first (the Ford GT springs to mind) but it won't be a case of forbidding every other developer from using the brand in their games.

Yes, I got the Hellcat too. I suppose I also have the R8 then.

FH3 is just surrounded by weird blunders. DLC not working on release day, Forzathon errors, dev build leak and gift cars for players not eligible.

Thankfully its Easter Break now so I can stay up as late as I want to :sly:

Gonna stay up all night if needed for all those beautiful new Porkers :D

Oh, this is sweet and unexpected news to log into. The paid pack is a decent salve after e last two paid Porsche add-one and the quality of models added via Forzathon is sweet. Keeping the 4.0 RS was the main thing for me and it's coming back via that route, so alls gravy.

I was just thinking this myself. There's nothing really game-breaking but the number of little blunders is kind of surprising.

Yeah, that's T10 for you - they make brilliant games, but a lot of their operation is a circus. Oh, well. Better than to have a studio which is professional in everything but game development, right?

P.S: am I the only one who also had to reinstall the car pass DLC after the update? Odd.

Ugh, the error is still there. I hope by clicking on it I haven't lost my 1 free copy, because it's now showing the credit value for the GT3.

Once again the official Forza forum succeeds at making my brain hurt. Every thread seems the same with angry nerds arguing over nothing. :indiff:
Wouldn't surprise me if there were people complaining about such-and-such Porsche that wasn't included in the pack, then proceed to ramble on about T10 being awful and how they'll never buy a Forza game again.

That's why I tend to stay away from there as much as possible.

I think what's most exciting about this is how much T10's car selection has improved in the past few years. FM4 really kicked it off with grabbing the slightly less-expected older cars. We don't know what the exact limitations were when the EA sub-licensing was happening (and likely never will now), but I always thought part of the reason for the large amount of recycling from game to game was at least partially due to EA. NFS got the GT3 RS and Cayman GT4, but FM6 didn't...

Think of how FM6 exploded in variety in terms of Group 5, Can-Am, and other disciplines. I'm really looking forward to seeing what T10 brings to the table for FM7's Porsche lineup, from day one. With GT Sport focused on new cars only, and PCARS2 having a car list of less than 200 total, there's the possibility FM7 could contain the best Porsche lineup since, well, Porsche Unleashed.

Yes and what it makes it even more bizarre is that the games are not revolutionary at all, more copy/paste of previous versions. Granted FH3 did bring a couple more new features but FM6 was nothing more than a shameless FM5.1 but with a few rain and night maps.

I'm calling it, this...

Also got to the love the comments from entitled people calling Turn 10 greedy and evil for charging money for this pack or not including it in the Ultimate Edition, despite the fact that they are going to give away free Porsches through Forzathon.

That's vocal minorities for you.

Mechberg just teased on the livestream that more Porsches will be coming in future Forzathons post April

Good, the official news article also suggests something along those lines:

Here’s a sneak peek at the events and cars available in April:

The mention of April would be somewhat redundant if nothing Porsche related was supposed to happen in May.
