Porsche DLC coming - First post updated with Car List

How frustrating. If we don't get a normal Carrera, it just plays up to my annoyance that they only ever add the top of the line model trims and not the more modest ones that don't have bodykits, graphics etc.

I really wanted the GTS Panamera and Cayenne.
As I said before, I hope I can buy porsches on an individual basis as with the other car packs. Really don't care about new achievements or if I get more events added to teh event list.
 
I'm becoming less and less excited for this pack, will still buy it for the 917, 914 and extra events though.

I don't care about the actual discussions. I'm just seeing a lot of "They better put this car in here" and stuff like that. And I'm 100% sure that once everything is revealed there will be people that go "This DLC sucks because my favorite Porsche isn't there." Heck, people were already whining about the price of the DLC pack.

This is and the inevitable "HA! FM4 has Porsche and GT5 doesn't. Therefor, GT5 sucks" comments is why I had hoped Porsche would never have come to FM4.

Sometimes you just need the tell the whiney kids "No" and let them scream and kick their feet. I would say it's a reward for good behavior, but people were complaining and requesting Porsches right up until the pack was announced, so...what good behavior?
 
If you think it's bad here, read their facebook comments after each reveal. Makes me wonder why T10 bothers doing anything with the community.
 
I have been nothing but impressed by the DLC offered across the range as a whole by Turn 10. I have my GT2 wheel & range of Porsche's to come.... sweet.

"how about some new cars turn 10?!?"
"why should we have to pay for this?"
 
Still hoping for the 991. If we don't get a newer GT3 RS, then heck, we have the Sport Classic, which I made into a convincing 3.8 RS homage in FM3. The new 911 is the biggie for me.

Don't get why guys are going nuts over the racecars. Calling them "dups" and all which , if guys look, is also false. The Falken and Flying Lizards are different cars. Check the hood scoop on the Falken which isn't there on the Lizard.

As a person who likes the ALMS part of this I'm glad we're getting these cars and not having to worry about having to paint cars to "look like" cars they aren't. Nice to have the real things.

Your really trying to justify using up a new spot that could go to another awesome Porsche that we havn't seen in Forza yet because it has a different hood to the one already announced :odd:

So far though the car list isn't making me really want to buy this pack, there are now only 4 new cars to come, If I don't see the 997.2 GT3/GT3 RS 4.0 or the GT2 RS then I can't see me getting this pack

Exactly (about the road cars that is, I know nothing about the vents). To be honest, I believe T10 won't leave these cars out along with the Carrera GT, 2011/12/13 Carrera S, Boxster S, and Cayman S/R. If they did, then what really was the point? IMHO, these 6 or 7 Porsches are a requirement. I just can't see releasing a manufacturer and NOT having a current line up. That's some GT5-ish type stuff there (I do like GT5 by the way, but it's got it's own issues, just like Forza; refer to the the GT5 vs Forza 4 thread).
 
So, we only have another 4 new Porsches to look forward to.....
Why are they using duplicates of RSRs and Cups? Give us some good road cars- 928 GTS, Carrera S (997), 924 Turbo, etc. These last four better be good.
 
So am I the only one who likes the Porsche pack but doesn't care if people complain? Because I know I'll be too busy enjoying these cars to worry about people's negative opinions on it.
 
No one is stopping you from enjoying it- just appreciate that we all have our own opinions and I for one don't like seeing duplicates of cars in racing games. Particularly when a company tries to convince customers that they are unique cars.

I can understand your opinion. I can't agree that there trying to convince people to believe other things.

2 Cars a day revealed up until the pack releases makes me believe there being totally upfront about it. You will know the exact content of the pack before its released. How are they fooling you? Please explain.

Nope. You aren't the only one man:) I'll be buying this pack regardless. Their might be a few Porsche's missing that are great cars but I for one am just happy they're coming back.
 
I was reading Major Nelson's blog (he's an Xbox employee) and every week he has a list of all upcoming games, add ons, etc. the Porsche pack was listed at 560 MSP. :odd:

That's the regular DLC price isn't it? I'm not sure I've been using season pass so far.

Would make alot of people happy on the 22nd May if that were the actual price ;)

I'm with you on this but I do complain about the duplicates. There's simply no reason for them with a livery editor. And I seriously can not wait for May 22. Just a week away!!!
