2012 Cayman R? Not bad! New car to series, and it's a street car!!

In FM3 we had the 2006 Cayman S, which I'm expecting we get back. Don't see why they'd cut that one out unless this new one is it's replacement. Not bad though, I liked the 06 model in FM3.

2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic
2010 Porsche Boxster S
2011 Porsche No. 54 Black Swan Racing 911 GT3 Cup
2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2011 No.45 Porsche Flying Lizard GT3-RSR
2011 Porsche No.17 Team Falken 911 GT3-RSR
2012 Porsche Cayman R

I'm counting 7 new cars or are the 2 2011 race cars counted as old models?

2010 911 Sports Classic and 2010 Boxster S were in FM3.

The 2011 911 GT3 Cup and 2011 911 GT3 RSR are different cars.

The duplicates are the 2x 2011 911 GT3 RSR cars where we're getting a Flying Lizard team livery and a Falken Tire team livery. Not sure if they are being counted as 2 new cars or not, but it's confirmed that we are in fact getting duplicates, even if just this one, in the full 30 car lineup.

I see it now. The boxster s was part of the autoweek pack and guessing the sports classic was part of a different pack.
I never said the rsr and gt3 cup were the same, I said they had the 2008 versions in FM3.

No biggy. My only gripe so far has been the dupes. I don't mind seeing the 07/08 version and the latest 2011 version. I do mind seeing the exact same car but different livery.

All car racing makers, from T10 to PD to EA to codemasters to everyone need to NOT count dupes as another car just to pad the count up.

So am I the only one who likes the Porsche pack but doesn't care if people complain? Because I know I'll be having too busy enjoying these cars to worry about people's negative opinions on it.

Nope, I'm enjoying what I'm seeing so far.

I'm hoping the cars being updated to 2012 spec take place of their forebears and aren't classed as totally new.

This is and the inevitable "HA! FM4 has Porsche and GT5 doesn't. Therefor, GT5 sucks" comments is why I had hoped Porsche would never have come to FM4.

So because you find the whining of some to be annoying, you wish no one would get Porsches in FM4? That's sad.

Nice. I love this and the Cayman R.

Everytime I see a 944, I hear the David + David song "Welcome To The Boomtown."

"Miss Christina drives a 944.
Satisfaction oozes from her pores.
She keeps rings on fingers, marble on the floor.
Cocaine in her dresser, bars on the door.
Welcome, welcome to the boomtown."

Yes, the song is from the '80s.

Are the wheels new? I can't recall what it had in FM3.

Just looked, it had 5-spokes in FM3.

The driving/fog lights are also improved 100% on this model. They didn't look that great in fm3, they do now :)

I wonder what EA said when T10 asked if they could include this..

I get the feeling the 'Dups' are last minute replacements for cars that were blocked at the last minute, or just a part of the contract.

I'm hoping the 991 isn't blocked by EA. Surely the one Porsche would benefit most from is having the free advertising of their new staple product in a big game like Forza.

How many new car to series left now?

Only 3 new car reveals remaining :(

I would love to see the new Porsche 991 in FM4.

If EA are still playing hardball by not allowing Turn 10 to have certain models included in the game, then maybe they should just use the RUF licence to better effect and get the new RUFs based on the 991.

*Ahem* T10, Carrera GT, GT2 RS, and GT3 RS 4.0 please:grumpy:

Why do I get the feeling EA isn't going to let T10, or anybody else for that matter, to have these cars?

If I were a betting man, I'd say that the Carrera GT is certain to be included as one of the 7 returning FM3 cars remaining :D

The GT2 RS & GT3 RS 4.0 as 2 of the 3 remaining new cars, I'm not so sure about.

Unless I am totally mistaken.
