Porsche Not in FM4 Confirmed (Originally Porsche may be in Forza 4. Check this out).

Yes, but it was so worth being corrected, wasn't it? 👍 If that happens, schwing!

Absolutely; and here I have been thinking all along Gemballa was just a third-party aftermaket tuner. I had no idea.

Since Chris went ahead and asked them about the inclusion of Gemballa, I did the same; on both twitter and through their "Under the Hood" feature.

However, I disagree with you all on one aspect: The Mirage GT looks better in the Matt Black version.

I don't think this is over you know. I have a suspicion EA will be willing to talk once Forza 4 is out and high up in the sales charts. Maybe we will see Porsche DLC with EA taking a hefty cut of the sales?

I can't believe Turn 10 would create Porsche models - especially for Autovista - if they had doubts about obtaining the sub-licence 18 months ago. It doesn't add up.

NFS: The Run will hopefully flop and EA will come to their senses and want a piece of the Forza pie after all. Trouble is, the Ferrari licence that MS holds is not so attractive to EA any more seeing as they have dumped Shift, and Ferrari want nothing to do with NFS games.

That can be looking at both ways. I would also find it hard to believe that they have been trying to get Porsche until a few days or weeks ago and not at least had some Porsches modeled and ready to go in case they got the ok to add them. Imagine them getting the ok a week or 2 ago and not having a single car modeled yet. I dont think so.

2011 RUF CTR3 (want this in or the CTR Yellowbird)

Must admit I do prefer the Gemballa version, but the RUF CTR3 is still stunning and for obvious reasons a far more feasible choice.

Can't wait for Gemballa to become an actual manufacturer though.

Up yours, EA. They get worse and worse every day. Nothing but suits with dollar signs in their eyes. It'll backfire sooner or later, half the gaming world already hates them.

The trouble is the other half buys their games.

All we have to do is wait till it becomes the "in thing" to hate EA and the other half will follow along like the lemmings they are.

Dragon Age, Shift series, and a few others, I will continue to buy. Sorry...

I take it you won't be buying any microsoft titles in future then? Not only are they literally the borg they have managed to get entire games using Ferrari killed on the 360! And refused to deal to allow them in other EA games for over a year, removing them from the last two (that is even more than 1!) NFS games.

Those horrible, horrible monsters.

The only way you can show them you mean business? Boycott Forza 4.

Pretty sure Ferrari has a thing against being chased by cops so Hot pursuit is a no no.

EDIT: ^^^^But forza is a good game.

Neither Microsoft nor EA is evil. But damn, EA does its best to look like it. Kind of like a pissing contest with Activision for the title of most hated publisher.

Activision is already there. Especially after what they did to Bizarre Creations.

Like Vaxx, I will continue to buy their games regardless. Their racing title may be taking a toll on other racers, but if they continue to put out games/series such as Battlefield 3, Burnout, Mass Effect, etc., I see no reason to boycott those true gems.

You wouldn't need to boycott those games anyway. All that needs to happen is that the EA games that make use of the porsche license have poor sales, then it's no longer financially feasible to spend all that cash on exclusive contracts when you gain nothing in return.

Boycotting EA doesn't really make sense for me partly because none of their recent racing games (10 yrs give or take) have been worth buying anyway IMO. Battlefield is a different story, but as I said, boycotting that game will have no impact on the racing genre whatsoever, unless people are expecting EA to go bankrupt overnight forcing them to sell all their assets from the top down.

I wonder how many track licenses EA hold and are possibly withholding from others? The true selling point of Shift 1/2 was it's tracklist and even that wasn't enough for me to make purchase. Content doesn't = Quality or necessarily the experience an individual is looking for

These exclusivity deals must die. Only gamers lose out.

Aww, that was heartbreaking. I was so hoping Microsoft game studios would snap them back up again at a time when they needed 1st party devs. But would you after they left you to make a quick buck with the "otherside"? I doubt the relations between BC and MSG would have been great in that working environment anyhow.

Well, I like Crytek, id software, Bioware, Dice games so I won't be boycotting those.

Haven't actually bought a Need for Speed game, ever. Been buying games since the 80s from pole position, buggy boy, outrun, lotus turbo challenge, micropose F1, Jaguar XJ220, hard drivin, test drive, on all types of computers from C64,amiga 500, PC, megadrive, playstation, xbox. Too many to list but just so weird the Need for Speed franchise I've never bought. I may have missed a classic NFS game in the 200 hundred that have been released but any I played at friends in the 90s were just rubbish and wouldn't even want to borrow the game.

I bought V rally but over here it was infrogames that published it and was just called Vrally. Indy 500 I had on the Amiga, think EA did that. Road rash was a great game. I've bought lots of EA games like road rash, populous to dead space. I've been close to buying NFS shift but the demo put me off that.

Funnily enough, I owned Burnout and the F1 games before EA took over then didn't bother after that. Bizarre creations did the classic F1 96 and 97.

NFS just doesn't appeal, its a certain ricer quality or type of simcade on steroids in the shift series I think plus I seem to buy everything outside NFS that I don't have time.

Anyway, I can only think the EA/Porsche will end soon so it'll be DLC or back in the next game. It's still painful to think all that content in Forza 3 will be gone in Forza 4 but hopefully its temporary. On the plus side, it could mean T10 and PD will be able to include RUF and Porsche in the future.

I don't buy NFS titles but I did give Shift 1 a go and thought it was pretty cool for what it was. I might still pick Shift1 and 2 later, used. EA won't see a penny if you buy used. Sadly if there's an online component to the game, unless you buy new you'd fork over something like $10 to get access to the online. Better than the full $60 new in my book!

I will be getting BF3 and FIFA12 most likely on day 1 but EVERYTHING ELSE I will pass on unless I can buy it used or very cheap. Boycotting won't work much because there's just vastly more gamers out there that don't blog
