The old school RSR is fun but a bit twitchy under braking. Only brake in straight lines right?

The 1971 Porsche 908/03 is a lot of fun. I looked it up and the HP is about right so what are you guys asking for it to go up to? Don't make it crazy, it's nice having a classic race car that isn't a handful.

I doubt the track will do anything for me (maybe for roleplay as a factory test driver?), but the Carrera RSR 2.8 has my mouth watering! The 2017 RSR (once sounds are corrected) is just icing on the cake!
Honestly, I wouldn't write the new circuit off, it really is a lot of fun to drive. Racing will be tight and tricky, with some parts of the circuit very narrow, but it should still be a lot of fun. On paper it is almost everything I hate in a circuit - almost completely flat, no apparent flow to it - but somehow it defies that and manages to be a really nice track to drive :)

Oh and the RSR 2.8 is great fun. But the car that puts the biggest smile on my face is the 917/10 just for the sheer lunacy of trying to tame 1200bhp/tonne :D

What cars does he 908/03 race against?

My wife loves the #0. She calls it the candy car, like Wreck it Ralph.

Finally -- the 2.8 RSR is what I had always wanted out of having Porsche in this game! :) It's wonderful to toss around and looks good in action. Like other cars in VGTA, it's flexible and fun to drive despite running on slicks. I anticipate running more VGTA races now and driving this car a lot in solo practice. It's the star of this DLC for me so far.

I like this one layout of Leipzig so far, too. It has a nice flow in spite of its somewhat lengthy straights, and good kinks that keep things interesting -- I like the last corner before the start/finish line. Here's hoping they'll add an open layout with the update...it doesn't seem like it would be too large of an area to manage under LiveTrack 3.0, unlike Mojave.

I'm enjoying the 959 S but the turbo error makes it feel like a museum car that just isn't running right upon being pulled out for a drive. It will be nice to have it around, giving me another AWD I like to drive, because I have to admit substituting one of the Mitsubishis for the lack of any Subarus just doesn't feel quite right.

By the way, I tried changing the boost pressure setting around on the 959 S to see if I could wake up the turbo, but it didn't work, in case anyone has the idea to try that.

Yeah I was very frustrated to see only 1 layout when in RL has 4! But we are getting the other variants in the next update, maybe they run out of time? but at least we know, its coming! :)

I loved the 911 RSR! It’s myfavo GTE car. Ow followed by the Ferrari, Ford, and Chevrolet. The 917K is a beast though. It was faster than expected and handled well. Great pack minus the 935’s and can-am car.

I've been throwing the 2.8 RSR with the other VGTA cars at different tracks and so far it's on the weaker side unfortunately. It can easily outpace the Nissan but Camaro and Mustang will get by on any decently long straight. It's not the easiest car to drive aggressively so make sure you keep up when they pass so you can try to squeeze by on an entry where you will most always be quicker.

If only the game had a filter for classes, the one I'd like the option to remove from VGTA is the Jaguar. A few of those are always leading the pack, and are giving me the most trouble in the 911.

Tipping it into a corner and letting the rear end rotate the car just the right amount to hit the apex, then getting back on the throttle to straighten out...it's exquisite. :D

Yessssssss. It's like the car says, "Don't even think about using the brakes." "I'll wait, while you figure out you can use the steering and throttle.".
The default set up works for me. The car also rides the curbs really well. Guess that's why I like the test track.
Anyway, can't get enough of the 2.8. Been using different liveries until I sample them all.

The turbo bug affecting a few of the cars is really weird. My first go with the 935/78 was fine - the green dots in the turbo gauge lit up and performance was on point. Then I drove the 959 S to notice the lack of turbo boost, and since then the 935/78 turbo has also been broken on subsequent attempts. It's utterly strange how it worked fine at first.

Overall its a great pack. The Porsche 917/10 with no assists is literally a beast that will kill you.

Crazy how people at those driven such death machines. Can Am racing was literally ahead of its time.

Any opinions regarding the AI from the Porsche Pack at Leipzig? I have only tried the 959 so far, and at 100% strength, the AI was too easy. I also tried 110% strength and 100% aggression, and the AI brake extremely late and hit me in nearly every corner! 🤬 I also just noticed in the below video that the headlights don't work in replay mode?

Oh... And please be kind regarding my driving skills! (Look at my screen name)

If Dynamic Strecke is the full infield section then that would include the corkscrew and the Karussell, but also the skid pan (I assume it's not permanently wet)! Could be fun.
If its the same as every proving ground I've been to, then its dry as standard, with a built in sprinkler system that then allows you to make it as wet as you like.

That's feature we will not be getting (I doubt).

Personally I think the 908/03 is the star of this pack, but the lack of liveries is a real shame for Hosts wanting to put on one make series for this car (or players wanting to use it offline on its own - the other cars in its group are earlier and therefore did not race against it in period.

I am hoping that @IanBell / SMS can add some more liveries in the next update - this car was sold to and raced by many privateers so there are plenty of real world ones to choose from or if that is a problem, a set of fictional liveries would be fine.

Also, we only have daylight versions, but this car was used extensively for endurance races with lights and I really want to be racing it with friends with time change. Perhaps it would be necessary to add a second copy of the car to the game to get a set with lights - but surely this wouldn't be a problem.

Below a few 908/03's in various liveries with lights.

Above - I would really like the Toblerone car - that looks tasty!

I think the pack is meh. I like the cars, but its the same thing every time we get a DLC. Why do they never put these cars in the career? I remember a year or so ago Ian's excuse for no custom championships was that we would be satisfied with what the career has to offer, but now we have this absolutely amazing vintage gt-a class but nope, its only good for single events...
