Ok, so here are what we know:

Ferrari...check
Lambo...check
Bugatti...check
Porsche...still waiting

Porsche is the last one needs to be checked, as an indication it's in the series. So come on PD, u almost got wat us fans want (in terms of car), therefore, make it complete by including Porsche! :)

IF there will be Porsche, it most likely will be revealed at the GamesCom, because its in Germany.

And Mclaren... well the F1 (GTLM, LT etc).

If you go here: http://www.game.fr/acatalog/GRAN_TURISMO_5_PLAYSTATION_3.html

So it basically means that Porsche is in the game.

I'd much rather have Porsche than either Lamborghini or Bugatti. Not that I have anything against the other two, but Porsche has got a much better racing catalog.

3 big names down,Lamborghini,Ferrari,Buggati. Can only hope for the Porsche tag to be named next.

Well porsche is one of the most famous GT car manufacturers. So they should be in it in my opinion. Down here in miami a porsche is really nothing special but i mean what is....maybe a vayron.

-> To translate a part of FRED SIMÕES article, here's some Google translate quote:

There are of course other racing cars which are revered as the Nissan 350Z or Honda models, Aston Martin or Porsche.

;)

Damn i'd drool over the prospect of being able to drive a Carrera GT in GT5, that things sound is probably the greates roadcar sound ever, but then again audio has not being one of PD's strong points, It's such a shame because that is one of the few things that can be replicated to a real life experience.

The RUF counterparts are cool cars I wonder why most people are so focused on having the Porsche's on the game as well. RUF has a version of every Porsche vehicle except the Cayenne and Carrera GT.

Here's some notable Porsches (street or race) that is not covered under Ruf...And yes, I love Herr Ruf's creations (he's a nice guy to boot. You can meet him in his shop in Dallas).

356 (GS, Speedster, Abarth, etc.)
550
718 RSK
904 Carrera GTS
906
908
910
911 (ST, TR, R, RS, RSR)
914/6
917
931 (924 Turbo)
928 S4 GTS
944 Carrera GT
951 (944 Turbo)
956/962
965
968 Turbo RS
959 (Paris-Dakar rally version nor street)
964 RS
993 RS
996/7 RS (mk. I & II)
RS Spyder
Daytona Prototype

I'm still looking forward to Gamescom, I have the feeling that there'll be something big (fingers crossed)

As far as Porsches go I think that they are a MUST! Seeing as we already have Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bugatti, Without it it would feel as though something were missing from the game.

Besides Yamamuchi said that he wanted the game to shows decades of historic cars and I think that Porsche's history is more than worthy enough. And considering they were one of Ferrari's biggest rivals in the past (not so sure now) and comon' 78 years of history!

True, many of those vehicles are true classics and would make any autmotive enthusiast foam at the mouth, especially the 959! I just think that even if the Porsche's aren't in GT5 the RUF's fill in the gap quite nicely :)

to be honest i dont need Porsche becouse Ruf is simillar.. and if Gt5 will have porsche then is usless to have Ruf too.. and Ruf was loyal all the time to gt.. so it make sense to me that there wont be porsche.. thats only my opinion.. i hope am wrong :)

I would love to drift down the ring with mighty Yellowbird (brutal legendary car in its times, carbon body panels and insane turbocharger) in cockpit view and love to see all the racing Porsches, 997 GT3 RS as well. Do you think it makes sense?
