Does RUF do a carrera GT? Because thats the only porsche i really want and if RUF are in the game and they do a carrera GT then im sorted.:sly:

Ruf hasn't done a Carrera GT yet, but I'm sure they'll do something for the owner if he or she kindly gave orders for them to do some magic.

So is that a possibility that the carrera GT is in GT5? The RUF CTR 3 looks pretty similar to a Carrera GT so hopely thats included.

It is a possibility, but there has to be an example of a Carrera GT modified by Ruf; a Ruf GT of sorts. So far there are none, well according to me.

Gemballa does the Carrera GT, called the Mirage GT.

I wonder why Ruf hasn't modified a Carrera GT yet. Then again, A Ruf is called a Ruf because it was built ground up on Porsche chassis, but with majority Ruf components and engineering. A Porsche Carrera GT done by Ruf, will be still called a Porsche Carrera GT.

Can someone please explain what RUF is? because im pretty baffled. Do they make their own cars or do they modify stock porsches? Do they make them to sell or do people request theirs to be done? Confusing:indiff: And by the way that Mirage looks AMAZING!!!

Porsche bodies, they modify the rest. RUF is considered a separate manufacturer by U.S. and German law.

Gemballa is considered RUF's biggest competitor. I like their work too.

I don't think Ruf and Gemballa consider each other as competitors, as they are doing what they believe in passionately. But Ruf has the deeper history to me.

Porsche (that’s right… Porsche) have stated that they do not have a problem with their cars being damaged in the game. Ferrari, however, are being more stubborn and could be a source of delay in damage implementation. Of course, that isn’t consistent with Forza or Ferrari Challenge, which has shown damage on the Italian cars for some time now.

I wonder, if Kaz has told the truth, what went wrong with the deal. He says Porsche doesn't mind having their cars damaged. Money maybe? If not, big surprises.

If there was something wrong with the deal, its most likely involved money more then it did what cars can and can't be damaged.

This is what people get for not listening to those members (including me) that say "be a pessimist, don't dream".

Someday people will learn, hopefully. Personally, I'm ROFLing at the fact members still believe Porsche will be included in the game, even when it has been said it won't.

At the risk of being called a f-boy, I will say that, if people still believe Porsche will be included in the game, they should also give Forza a chance of upgrading it's graphics and physics before it is released.

Just to point out, nobody treats the opposite game the same way they treat their own. ;)

"Lastly, it sounds like Porsche will not make it into Gran Turismo 5. As disappointing as this was for Kazunori, Porsche signed an exclusive arrangement elsewhere and will probably not be included. It looks like Porsche fans will have to wait."

This is why the topic hasn't been closed.
Look, I have already accepted the fact that Porsche may not appear. Still, the series can live on, though it does miss out on some amazing history.

Also, I don't mind RUF, Gemballa, etc, but I never disregard anything. The language from this interview doesn't seem hopeful, yet it doesn't denounce the fact that Porsche might be included or included later on when this agreement expires.

Who wants a CarreraGT when the Ruf CTR3 has 700hp?

I do, the car just looks too good and sounds so awesome, i don't care how much $ i have to pay for dlc that includes it.:)
I would be happier if they also included the gemballa mirage gt, it looks better in my opinion, though, i would be happy if they still included the CTR3:)

This is pure, wild-you-know-what speculation, but could the real reason be that Porsche is still miffed that a 996 GT3 made it into the NTSC and NTSC-J versions of GT3 (albeit inaccessible without GameShark or something) without their authorization?💡

Obviously, the idea of a big corporation holding a grudge for 8 years seems silly, and if that was the case Lamborghini seems to have gotten over the JGTC Diablo that was also in the non-PAL versions of GT3, but you never know...

I think it contributed in a small way. Not so much in a "PD MUST DIE" sort of way, but more like, "Hmm, these are the people that put the 996 GT3 in their game without our permission, should we should work with them again? Can we trust them?"

Porsche probably sees Forza as being more or less the same as GT and doesn't feel a need to license out to both games.

I suspect RUF's inclusion is responsible as well. I don't think Porsche is the sort of car firm that would like to be compared to a "tuning company" (I'm using that term very vaguely here, so "RUF is a manufacturer" people, turn off your flamethrowers, please  I KNOW they are), whenever possible. I don't think they want to let the whole world know that RUF's recreations are faster and more "desirable".

PD took a gamble including RUF in their games, and I suspect, that now they can't get out of the dead end. Do they kill off their partnership with RUF and seek Porsche? Or keep their excellent relationship with RUF? Decisions, decisions!

Mt theory... Porsche is pissed a Nissan, and doesn't like PD for being so close to Nissan.

'We won't lend our cars to a game that features the Nissan GT-R lapping the Nurburgring the in 7:20. range.'

Oh my god, you people are just full of flawed logic....:ouch:

If that was the case, why does Shift have the GT-R (& the V-Spec) & 5 Porsches?

All Porsche has to do is have the 997 GT2 on offer in GT5 to offset the GTR's performance.

How could a game be a "real driving simulator", have a 1000 cars, and NOT have Porsche? I bet 700 of the 1000 are Japanese cars.

If that were the case, then No recent Need For Speed Game, from Pro Street to Shift would have Porsche 911s Turbos and Caymans on the track as the Nissan GT-R. Once again, a unfounded theory.

Now this is something I haven't thought of before. Does make abit more sense that it could be a trust issue. Of course on that same time, Lamborghini seems more forgiving.
