I like air cooled ones better too, but that GT3 engine is Le Mans spec so it deserves some respect.

Those are two of the most historic marques in motoring and had some epic battles. For me, racing has always been great when it's Ferrari vs. Porsche. I'd love to have a F430 v 911 GT3 instead of the GT-R they have on GT right now...

The new GTR is only in it's early stages and I would think it's stay in the game also because of Polophony's friendship with Nissan.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. I wasn't implying the GT-R to go away, I was just saying that it'd be cooler to have a 430 vs. GT3 race instead of the GT-R they currently have on Prologue. Ferrari against Porsche has always meant really great racing for me and I'd love to see that represented in GT. Plus, neither car is 4WD.

Are you referring to the Special Wishes editions that Porsche sometimes makes for a select number of customers? If that's the case, I've never heard of such a GT3 special with AWD spec...Do you know of one that's been ordered or delivered, 'cause I'd like to know.

Forza 2 has Porsche. Forza 2 is not made by EA. I think Porsche must ask for a lot to let companies use their cars in games. The PGR series had them, but lost them in PGR4(I never played 3 so I do not know if they are there). Otherwise, Forza 2 must have payed Porsche more money so that PGR would not have them anymore. I'm pretty sure PD can get them if they want to, it just comes down to how much Porsche is asking.

Well almost all cars companies that appear in the game do not ask for money in exchange of the authorization to use them.They even send to PD some of their cars elements(audi R8 headlights spotted in a video) or come to them asking for an apparition in the game as Citroen !
If Porsche and Lamborghini are too greedy then nevermind ! Don't Pagani appear in the game after all ?

Well if Porsche is that stupid not to let PD use their cars in Gran Turismo, it's Porsches problem frankly. It can be discussed to the end of the world whether Gran turismo is the most realistic game when it comes to driving or not, but I'm pretty certain that it's probably the best advertising tool there is. As pretty much every major car company seem to think..

Porsche or any other supercar companies don't need the extra advertising. Not sure about in Europe, but in the US I don't think I have ever seen a commercial for a high end Porsche, any Ferrari, or Lamborghini.

Thats interesting to think about. Come to think of it, they are tied at 7 so who knows?

Now that GT5 doenst hit the market before 2010 PD has enoght time to render and code all the porsche cars that are vital for the game! How awsome would it be to have the Manthey Porsche or the Land Porsche and go on the 24hour race on the nordschleife!!!! with real time weather and day-night changes........................ to good to come true
