Oh man, you stole my rims!

BOTH ON VR COMMODORES!!:lol::lol: We'll be the only 2 on here with VRs probably, and just happen to get the same rims.:D

BTW, what springs do you have on there? King Springs Ultra Lows?

Kings SSL all around, Whiteline adjustable panhard bar, Ultima shocks, Whiteline swaybars front & rear.

Yours is manual, so you still win! For now...

Few more;

SSL, Super Super Low? I've got Super Low, and while it may have something to do with being a Ute, my ride is nowhere near that low (I've been meaning to take some better daylight pictures of my Ute, but never really get to it when it's clean.) The other thing that annoys me is my hard as a rock ride quality. "Oh but that's sporty that is, that's sporrrrty!" That can definitely be attributed to being a Ute (trying to maintain some form of load carrying capacity) but it still really sucks. I currently have Monroe GT Gas shocks. Man I wish I could afford coil-overs......maybe one day I will.:sly: I'll be getting 1.9:1 ratio roller rockers next week, and hopefully a good tune as my first one sucked, and still sucks despite taking it back a few times to try and get it looked at. It was improved, but still sucks. PLEASE let this new tune be good.:( How much power/what 1/4mile did yours run again? As always your car looks great man, well done.👍

Haha, tthe ride is rubbish. I'd use another word to describe it, but I don't think the forum gods would look down on me well!

It made 101rwkw on 91 octane, and in need of a service. Ran 16.2 on the quarter mile, which is achingly slow.

Yeah it's a VR but I honestly think spauldj's VR looks in better condition, mine has some 220,000+km on it after all.

Haha, mine clicked over 240,000 on the weekend.

I'd offer to come for a cruise up to meet all you Queenslanders, but there is a few thousand kilometres and a lil bit of water in the way!

Well, I do have holidays owing to me...lol.

Hahah yeah i know its a VR, the question mark was for the Paul bit, as your name is Paul, as is mine. Do we have a trifecta?

It must be King Springs, they're a big name but in all honesty their products probably aren't the best, just cheap. My Ute dyno'd at 175rwhp on a Dyno Dynamics shootout mode, although thqt figure could have been slightly fudged by the shop that did it, but not by much apparently. My brother seems to have been told that the shop I'm getting the roller rockers done at, their dyno usually reads a bit less than most other dynos, so if it comes up 180rwhp on Tuesday and running solidly I'd be thrilled! That's on 98 octane btw. Do you ever get to take your Commodore on the Targa Tasmania roads?:D And how does anyone manage 240,000km in Tassie? You'd drive all of what, 5km and you're on the other side of the island.:sly:

You mean you're asking if spauldj's name is Paul? I doubt it (his name is Jarrod);).

Really nice driving! You were out driving just about everyone there. Keep it up. I loved watching you over take charged stangs, vettes, and other more powerful cars.

Thanks. I enjoy it a lot. It's awesome when people come up and wonder what's under the hood, and then watch as their mouths drop open when I tell them I'm running under stock HP. I have to pop the hood a lot because they don't believe me.

That's why I can't wait till I get my new turbo setup. I miss being boosted that I should be attending AA meetings.

It started out like this:-

I noticed it had some rust coming through on the passenger sill, it also had a hell of a lot of car park door dings so sent it in for welding and a full respray...
Never did like the green very much so chose a new colour. At the same time I had it de-badged, reflectors smoothed over and had the hard top sprayed to match.

Also a picture of my upgraded Mk1 Eunos daily driver...
Upgrades include -
Designer Rust, Optional Gaffer Tape enhanced roof, Hammerite black sills with filler enhancement, grip reducing tyres (all different), broken aircon, broken electric aerial, non existent brakes, one matte blue wing, optional slightly mismatched panel colours and of course a the compulsory rear window that can not be seen though. Seriously though, this one is a great little car and is mechanically spot on, just very very untidy in the bodywork, a new roof, alloys and tyres and this will do me fine for a daily driver for a few years.

Nice MX5s, Maff. Knew you had the blue NA but first I've seen of the NB, looks great both pre- and post-respray!

I love how NBs respond to a different treatment than NAs when it comes to choosing subtle styling tweaks. There's something very classy about them when the NA is a bit more retro.

Mine needed a bit of welding done for the last MOT. If funds ever allow it might be treated to a respray.

Not taken any pics of it for ages because it's not done many miles for a while (my last two long journeys have been in a Smart ForTwo and a Ford Transit respectively!). Last one I took was probably this one at Bamburgh castle:

That thing looks mean!

I would probably have a grin like yours too after buying that, hell yes.

Nice Corsa mate, there's another guy on here with an upgraded Corsa OPC on here in that same colour too I think, and his makes around 240whp, quite a potent package!

@ McLaren - this may sound like a daft question... but how long have you had the BMW? Not seen or heard of it before! What happened to the Acura or do you still have it?

IIRC he's had BMWs on lease for quite some time, then a Civic Si (which I forget as to whether he still has) and the TL. I'd presume this is just a replacement to the 5-series instead of a replacement for everything.

Ah right, cheers. I vaguely recall something about a 5-series and I know McLaren has had Bee-Ems in the past but didn't know about the Coupe.

I've had it since Wednesday. Autobahn had incentives on 3-Series & were trying to clear out some inventory. This in combination with what BMW had given me as incentive to stay with them instead of going to another manufacturer gave me a nice deal.

I still have the Acura. I have no idea if I'm going to keep it or not. The extra money would help pay for whatever project I want to buy next year, but they're also offering a rather good price to purchase it, well under market value. Just undecided right now.

Correct although this 3 is actually financed now. It will more than likely be my last new BMW. They're getting too damn expensive now.
