They are like $8,000 to as high as $30,000 here. I'd rather pay £1000, even concert into dollars.

True, I expect that generally the ones in worst condition over there are still in reasonable condition though.

Best ones here go for ridiculous figures. Ex-works Coopers can grab £40k, regular Coopers north of £20k, and late 90s Sportpack Coopers can still fetch £10k, which is only about £1000 less than they were ten years ago. Which is amazing.

The Karmann Ghia is clearly supposed to look the way it does; there's far to much effort gone into it (sacks on the doors trimmed to fit, chrome looking like new when the body doesn't, tidy engine and suspension drop). By continually suggesting that it needs repairing you either a) don't get it or b) are deliberately misunderstanding to provoke a reaction. If it's a, then as hfs mentioned, 'Because everyone is different' is all you need to know. If it's b, then as exigeracer mentioned, 'Leave the troll alone. He'll go away.' is all you need to know.

I think it's easily the best KG I've ever seen, and Reno, you're a numpty for selling it :P

You're right, I don't get it. I prefer this look

Like you say, everyone is different I suppose.

The last ratty one I saw pop up on North American Motoring went for around $5,000. Since they were never sold here finding one is hard and when you doing they cost an arm and a leg. I did look at a nice one the other day for $10,500 though and I had a real hard time talking myself out of it.

Mine cost £1200, it has some rust but is actually in remarkably good condition.

There's only 60,000 left registered in the UK, and 30,000 are off the road! considering 5million were sold, that's quite a lot gone!

An old pic of my MR2:

The car is a bit different now, autocrossed it often back in 03 to 06. But now SCCA rule changes kind of made me feel less motivated to go so I just do lapping days and play around with the suspension now. Would love to do club racing namely the IT classes but that requires a whole new level of dedication and $$$.

Lovely looking car... and yours looks remarkably free of tin rot!

A mate had a Beta HPE back when we were in our early 20's. It was a great car until he ran in to the back of a Police dog van

Nice Impreza 👍 I definitely prefer them like yours with either lip spoilers or no spoiler at all.

Thank you, I try and keep it some what look stock looking. Most of my modding goes to suspension or just doing preventive maintance since I drive it pretty hard.

It still has original paint :)

I know what your aiming at, my parts car is in much worse state.
