I don't think this is a replica, do you?
If so, could you point me out what gives it away?

The genral proportions of the roof and basically everything else, the lack of "F40" on the rear wing. etc etc etc

Moreover, what makes you think its an original?

Well, the lack of "F40" on the wing can be explained, cause the original F40 only has the "F40" on the right side of the wing.
But I do notice the differences in the body, especially around the roof indeed.
The real F40 has overall rounder curves. But I have to say that I think it's a pretty decent replica.

Yeah, it's pretty well documented as been a replica. The give away is the much shorter wheel base and very different C-pillar treatment.

Since the 5 Wagon got killed I got something new(er)

I hope you'll understand that we'll need a picture of the F430 with a piece of paper with your username and GTPlanet written on it.

S60R and SVT Focus.

The Focus will be my daily, fiance will drive the R (shorter commute, gas mileage thing) but we'll be switching every so often. She works Sunday through Thursday, so I'll get the R Friday, and she'll get the Focus for doing whatever it is she does on her days off, yoga, shopping for stuff I don't care about, etc.

I'll post some better pics eventually.

How the 🤬 hell did you find that? But good work, do the mods need to know?
It's extremely easy for me to tell when someone has posted dealer photos; they all have the same method & angles when taking photos of the car.

All I had to do then was look at the license plate holder, google it, and sure enough, the car is for sale at the Penske-Wynn dealer in Vegas. Hell, if it's still there in 3 weeks, I will take pictures of it myself.

Nice catch, Rick. These kids are going to have to try harder.

I had my suspensions, but I was going to give his the benefit of the doubt. Looks like that no longer applies.

This is a copy-paste of my post on the Forza forums, so all the paper says FM.net instead of GTPlanet, but since I'm the same guy...
For any who want to doubt anyways, here's a link to the original post on fm.net:

I own several vehicles, but the 2 I really love are my 1972 Porsche 911 track car and my 1968 Porsche 911.5 (912 chassis with 911 drivetrain and running gear).

The '72 911: I built this car from a stock T platform over the course of about 5 years. It has all OEM 911-RSR type suspension and brakes, with an Autopower roll bar, period correct Recaro Vintage Sport seats, Sparco 5 point harnesses, and a 3.0L twin plug crank fired high compression race engine that I hand built in my garage, coupled to a standard 915 type 5 speed manual transmission. The engine was assembled using JE Racing 12:1 pistons, custom ground John Gray cams (profiled to my specs), 4140 chrome moly high strength rods, high stress bearings, knife-edged super lightweight crankshaft, high tension valve springs, and custom machined twin plug heads matched to an Electromotive crank fired coil-pack ignition on a 3.0L 911SC case. Fuel is mechanically injected at 1200 PSI using a custom spec Bosch MFI pump from a '72 Porsche 911T, refitted with RSR internals. Power is dyno tested at 255 bhp and 245 ft/lbs of torque (on pump gas, add 15-20% for race gas). Top speed around 165 MPH (gear limited) with a 7200 RPM redline. I regularly embarrass most modern sports cars that show up for track days in my old, unassuming vintage Porsche. It might not be pretty, but godd*** is it fast.

Pics(It's raining today, so I took 2 new pics and I'll use some older ones too.):

Note: One of those pics still has the ugly color matched BBS wheels that came with the car. I swapped them for the black Fuchs here about a year ago a little before I got the new windshield, sans banner.

The '68 911.5- I built this car from a rolling chassis I bought for $2500 bucks from a friend. I threw all the parts that came out of the '72 onto it, and now it's my daily driver. 2.4L MFI Flat 6 putting out about 160-170 BHP, through a 901 5 speed super close ratio gearbox. Took me about a year all told to put it together.

Just for fun, here's a pic of my bike, it's a '93 Ducati 900 Supersport with light mods.

Infiniti FX35: Got a good price for my wifes car and couldnt pass it up. The bling wheels arent my taste but love to throw some Bronze Volk wheels on her.

*whimpers*

Beautiful, beautiful car.

-------------------------------

I went to Brands Hatch last week what they call a taster session trackday - all the safety briefings and so on, and then 20 minutes on track for £25. Bargin!

Astonishingly, I overtook 3 cars - an NB MX5, the revolting Vauxhall Cavalier above, who's driving was as bad as his modifications, and - I was most proud of this - a brand new MINI Cooper S :D Kept up with anyone in the corners, but 40hp wasn't enough on the straights. Brilliant fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

As a big time Holden fan from this site may I say, "Absolutely awesome!!!" However for cars of this caliber we usually request you post a pic of your car with a sign saying "Hi GTP, from moetec" for proof of ownership. Either way, how much power does your supercharged monster make? Is it still a 5.0L or stoked? Last but not least, sorry I'm not a fan of your chrome rims.:guilty:

Hah cheers mate for the record wheels are not chrome, just machined alloy..

I'll get that pic up tomorrow.

In that pic yes the car is stroked 355cui was making 500rwkw at 14psi..

It has a 6 speed t56 behind

On a side note that is my old engine combo, I have a new combo in the build for it right now which is 383cui with a procharger f2 reverse rotation (in my avatar) going together which will be making or breaking into the 1000rwhp bracket.. Will post that up later in the coming weeks / months ad it progresses :)

Well those are some big goals you're aiming for, ever been in Street Commodores?

Never said it was my car... I just posted a pic in this tread :D

It's implied, this is after all the "Post a pic of your real car" thread.

You should probably reread the AUP, mainly this part.

Also, this...
