Or maybe alot of cars these days have similar headlighting and we really shouldn't worry about it at all? Just putting it out there.

It's got the two bottom dips along the bottom edge, but other than that there is zero resemblance. Not to mention, not as sporty? A turbo 6 FPV would chow down on an RSX like it's its' favourite dish.

I said nothing about the car being less sporty, just the head lights. If we were talking about performance, obviously the conversation would be a lot different.

This is a few days ago. Long way to go yet on body work, etc.
But runs very well, and is up on all the maintainance.
Oh and thanks to the aerodynamics its gets about 40 mpg on longer trips and mid thirties on town. Handling is okay, acceleration is meh... Lol.

Oh and factory single wiper is very cool.

Greatest paint job on GTP 👍

Honestly, I know how bad it is. But I don't have a lot of money and that rustoleum, is keeping the car rust free till I can paint it. The gloss black on it was so badly done I didn't have much choice.

@fitftw that's the goal. One day.

I wasn't dissing your paint job, I was being honest in saying its the best paint job I've seen on this site. Leave the body and work on the engine/suspension and make yourself a decent little sleeper.

And really you could probably go over it a couple more times with a rattle can to fill in some of the spottiness and it would look fine. No need to spend thousands on the paint job.

Oh, I'm used to youtube trolls. Lol And it was my first attempt. I have been looking into a shop doing me a satin black, but it's gonna cost. An ej20 would be great! One day!

Depends on the Maaco. They are all privately owned. Some good some bad. They did a decent job on my hardtop that I gave to them in beat shape. You gotta look up your local one on the BBB to see if there are any complaints.

Sorry about the quality of the last one. The camera doesn't like dimly-lit rooms.

(Yes, that's a breast cancer awareness plate on the Mach 1. I'm okay with it, my wife let me trade her '98 Altima in on the Mach :D, and I know a couple of women, close family friends, that have battled with it and thankfully overcome.)

Regardless, there is still a reason why people joke about Maaco paint jobs - they are generally crap.

I approve of that Mach 1. 👍

Thank you kind sir :)

Definitely not the fastest car on the block put it gets the job done for me :dopey:

Very much fun on the onramps, not so much in the turns (which I expected). Thinking about finding a set of the original Mach 1 rims the car came with but the repro's are ridiculous when it comes to cost and the OEMs are friggin' tough to find. I may end up going with the FR500 look-alikes, similar to the ones on this 'Stang but machined instead of chrome plated:
