Still need to get my winter tires... X_x

Which engine?

I love the new Kodo Design, it is so exciting. 👍

It's the Mazda3 S Grand Touring, so it's the 2.5L engine. Did the best I could since there is no Mazdaspeed version yet.

Reposting stuff from the Show Off Your Latest Purchase thread from the night I bought it for those who didn't see it:

I'm loving everything about it so far. The commute to/from work was so much easier to bear this past week :).

Edit: It was sunny and almost 40F outside today so I gave the car its first bath. Also went ahead and got some RainX on the windows and then ended up waxing/polishing the entire car before the weather gets crappy and they start salting the hell out of the roads.

Im torn between repainting it, and stripping the rest of the black off it and leaving it chrome lol.
Repaint it black. Goes with everything else on the car. Especially on this Celica as people tend to look at the nose first and slowly move up.
2; There's no other chrome elements so it will look out of place whilst black elements you have, and it keeps it like the original version which was cool to begin with.

Did a breakfast run to a resort about 350 km away from my place. It was my first real GT type drive in this car. Hit 160 kph on a quite little stretch and it handled it like a dream. Yes the short gearing means you are going to be doing high revs in 5th gear but the engine never really feels stressed. Most important to me is that the complicated multi-part propshaft did not vibrate and that aluminum engine did not overheat. I am starting to think I might have got a bargain here for the little I have to do before it is near perfect. I say "near" because the dash has a tear or two and I intend leaving those alone. Battle scars and wrinkles are great on the aged ...
