Good luck killing that thing.

As long as the head gasket holds out I should be fine. Has 177 on it.

V6 with a V8 badge? Or is that a really 8 looking 6?

Very 8 looking 6, they didn't put a V8 into a truck until the Tundra.

^Neat!

In about a month's time I'll be buying a new hatchback to replace my old Impala. I'm looking at both the Mazda3 i Sport auto and the Scion iM Toyota Corolla iM.

Too old and too rare around here. The only Hachis I've seen are the U.S.-spec AE85s and AE88s.
Then your only choice is to get either a used GT-86 2012 or newer to avoid older models issues ( if there was in the older models issues ) or a used Skyline Coupe if you want to rock the streets X)

"Only choice".

The GT-86 is far too expensive for me, plus the insurance for a college student with a sports car is bad. The most recent Skyline I can even try to get is a 1989, and the issue now is the condition the car is in. Like I've said, my two biggest choices are the 2016 Mazda Mazda3 i Sport hatchback and the 2016 Scion iM.

I should have said ( only choices ) needed the S X)
Anyway - there are some good 90s & 80s sports out there which hopefully you'll get the chance to buy one :)

After a wash with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax. It took a bit longer than expected.

Nice, looks clean. Why is the number plate not centered? And those little fender blinkers, do they have to be orange? The facelift model like yours all got whites here in the EU. It's much less noticeable especially with a silver car.

Changed the wheels back to the 'summer' ones so wanted to drive some miles, called mom and went there for dinner :P They added a new highway so it's basically cruise control on, lalalala for over an hour and off just 3 minutes before I reach my destination.

The license plate is mounted using a tow-hook kit. I prefer it over the stock mount that goes in the center.

It's a pretty common mod here to switch out the lights(front blinker, side, and taillights). I thought I might do the same, but I like having all three in orange. In Europe was it all three of the lights that came clear/white?

Ah okay 👍

90% sure. Orange looks nice too, I think the US headlights look better than the all clear EU versions. I usually look at those things when checking if it is a facelift model, maybe that's why it catched my eye. Must be different for you.

This took longer than it should have, but my WRX finally got new wheels!

Vision Cross rims with Continental tires. I wanted Potenzas instead, but I didn't wanna wait for them to ship...that and wallet said otherwise. :P

Now to focus on performance. Planning on an electronic boost controller to raise it from 14 PSI to 18 PSI since it can't make 20 PSI anymore, and I wanna get it above 14 (that and the turbo can't make 20 PSI reliably so Idk why the owner before me did so) (and some other cool stuff likr faster turbo spool, making the turbo hold boost longer, saving some extra fuel by changing boost at will, etc.), a cold air intake, and an STi wing. And if I can, either an STi hood or some JDM lights. My goal is to have it all done by the end of Summer and to raise it from 323 HP to 400 HP. :)
