Locally ( Florida, US ) it's windows down at the clubs/tracks I have checked. Also "most" convertibles need a roll bar to run. I think 1 club and track combo allows miatas to hit the track without roll bars but extra paperwork is required.

I saw roll overs where arms got crushed because G forces were that high, the arms just flung around....

In Europe it's pretty everywhere (clubs, circuits,...) windows closed or small gap open:

As seen here on an official Rally of Europe SS

On the other hand, there is a vid on youtube from a guy from Sweden I think, that nearly died of a Co intoxication because of that rule....

Today is a really hot and bright day

I've decided I definitely like the BBS better on my car. There are times when I see the Speedlines and go "damnnnnnnnn" but then other times they're just kinda meh. Add in the fact the BBS are wider, and lighter... I can't wait to get them refinished. Who wants some gold rimzzzzzzz?

RIP all of my money - I bought a car, my first!

2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R Type V
  • 2.5L FF config engine and drivetrain
  • 6 speed Manual w/OD (yes, I need to learn stick now)
  • 175hp @ 6000 rpm
  • 180 ft-lb torque @ 4000 rpm
  • 2710lbs or 1230kg
As @Akira Ishi said learning a stick is easy. And congratulations you have invested in the most effective anti vehicle theft system in the USA, a manual transmission.

Trying to brake my pads in again, it's better than it was after the track day, but I think the pads are beyond saving. May upgrade the Discs too. EBC has some nice stuff... need to see what the car budget allows as the upgrade on the GTR ate most of that budget away (a month into the season  )

So, I've made my car hunt a bit harder. On top of the Mazda3 and the Corolla iM, I'm now gonna test a Hyundai Accent and an Elantra GT.

I didn't seem to have much regards to the Accent, but the Elantra GT was kinda nice. How about the Forte 5?

The last time my family had a Kia, it was a gas guzzler. I'll pass.

As for the Accent, it's a nice little car. My mom has a rental one right now. God, the noise it makes at high revs is awesome.

Well, dang it. Thank you guys for breaking the notion. I also just asked my supervisor about his Forte and he said it was a good car for its price.

You can also get a turbo engine, but that would probably break your budget range.

To be blunt here, I'm trying to lease a car at 200/month. I'm sure the Forte/Elantra turbo is somewhere in the range of $24,000 and well above my lease range.

Gotcha.

By the way, only the Forte has the turbo engine available, just to let you know.
