I better see that thing at the track with VTEC Club!
Car has quite the history in that series. used to be owned by amir and kristian (and the bmw instructor i bought it off of, i think youre on here sorry but i forgot your name.). i dont know much about its success other than it won the championship once in n2 and runs 1:2x`s at SoW
That looks insanely rough. I absolutely love it.

Thanks! I still need to wash it.

That's quick for sure. Amir is a cool guy; he wrote the rules for Roadster Cup too.

I almost always clean my car myself, but I was headed to cars and coffee near me and needed to get her looking good quick. This place had excellent reviews so I took her for a bath.

The wheel cleaning sprayer was pretty cool, too. I had pictures of her going through this long ass tunel, and sitting at cars and coffee, but I went and deleted most of them because I'm stupid and phones don't have a recycle bin.

You can see her behind the Porsches that parked beside me, though.

Siiiick. What wheels are those? Motegis?

Decided to do a quick Sunday evening/sunset run up Snake/Skyline/Grizzly peak. Hard to believe this is only 10 minutes from my house...

In this pic you can see Claremont in the foreground and San Francisco bay beyond. In the far distance you can see the Marin Headlands and just barely make out the Golden Gate Bridge. The thin line in the middle of the bay is Treasure Island.

Here you can see the Bay Bridge extending out to Yerba Buena Island and then onto downtown San Francisco. It's a much better view in person, obviously.

Good luck getting it into first gear without stalling it.

Have fun. Learning a stick is easy and a sure way not to get your car stolen easy as most people can't drive a stick!

The GT-Four and I in the weekend out at Queensland Raceway

Two things strike me here:

1. I'm amazed (and impressed) that the number stayed on. I would have expected it to blow off after the first session.

2. Your windows. And the fact that they're up. Just about every car club, track day sanctioning body that I know of here in the US (NASA, SCCA, PCA, BMWCCA, SCDA) mandates that the window be down while on track, both for signaling purposes and, more ominously, for emergency extraction.

And other countries mandate that windows stay closed or a max of 10-20% open, in case of a roll, so that your arms aren't crushed by the car

Countries mandate, or the tracks themselves mandate or club sanctioning bodies mandate? I know there are odd exceptions, like the Nuerburgring, where the track is considered part of the public road system. But in general, I wonder who decides on such rules. In the event of a roll over a closed window is going to help about as much as a sheet of paper and a crushed arm would be the least of one's worries.

^Exactly that. It's a QR rule. Believe me I would have loved them down it gets bloody warm in there with no aircon!

Interesting, so it's Queensland Raceway itself that dictates this. That would make sense. Most clubs in the US and Canada can dictate such things so long as it doesn't violate any rules that the track itself has stipulated. I'm curious what their policy is on convertibles. There's a wide range here between both tracks and clubs that vary from extremely lenient (anything goes) to dedicated roll bars in addition to the car's own passive or pop up roll over protection and then they still require the broomstick test.
