Just back from Watkins Glen myself. No prizes at all for HPDE.
Beautiful View Motel. (The bloody wine festival was in town which meant (a) all hotel prices were up (b) availability anywhere was tight and (c) I got to stay at a hotel like an F1 driver from 1979.

And yes, the wine festival also meant that the garages were not available. The plus side is that we had our driver's briefing in the 'new' media center, a place normally off limits to any drivers outside of professional series. And the nicest building....uh...probably for miles in ANY direction.
