Fastest i've got is 325mph with the Minolta, I never knew that it was possible to do wheelies in GT4 like the eskudo in GT3 and these settings were all my own. (not that their any good :P)

I will have a look at the site just now and try out some wheelie settings.

without wheelie trick (since i dunno how) was 258mph with my TVR spd12(only supercharger).. if i could get a decent amout of traction, it'd be more.. damn thing spins thru 4th gear.

[QUOTE='85fierogt]coolest wheelie in gt4 history

👍
lol...That reminds me of the time I flew over some train tracks in my moms '84 Plymouth Horizon (Dodge Omni's twin) and sent the front wheels in the air. The engine screamed, and when I landed, it hit so hard, the engine shut off. Never told her about it, but after that day, the car always ran funny.

Unfortunatley i wont be joining the 380mph club just yet.

I just can't be arsed faffing about with cars. But I do have a photo of my rankings screen and 9 attempts to break my top speed record :)

228 mph in a Superbird, on the very edge of adhesion. The rear wing was actually creating lift. You would think that wing at that speed would actually help, but the cone nose is pressing down harder than the tail...

I don't like messing around with the race cars...

Whoa did the back actually lift off the ground? Now that would be a cool screen shot. I am going to have to try this tonight. Maybe with the opposite settings as the wheelie trick you can get a good 'stoppie' out of the superbird.

DOME ZERO.

Only 350BHP fully tuned.

It does 252 MPH.

...yes, that's right... 252 MILES per hour... not KILOMETERS..

Nice... very... very... nice. ;)

---------------------

And just for fun...

Mitsubishi Starion Rally car.

180 MPH.

Totally untuned... not even fresh oil.

To quote Will Smith in Independance Day; "I gotta get me one a-these!" ;D

489kmh in the Mercedes CLK GTR Lemans car. I dont know If I have any cars that can go faster than that, although Ive just gotten 3 of the Black Beauties so maybe one of those will beat it.

The tires did not quite go off the ground, but they were determined to try. :nervous: You could hear the tires chirping as it bobbed around on the straights; to far of a twitch on the controller and around it went, a huge 1080* rotor-style spin. Now it is a succesful club-racer, often feeding crow to machinery 7 times its value. :D

Got my '67 Chapparal up to 274.5--not bad for a 3-speed! :sly: Very solid feel to it, too. Plus, it actually can turn corners--unlike that bullet known as the Escudo.

The only part that sux is that it's sssslllllooooowwwww out the gate :yuck: --once you get it above 3500 rpm, though, it takes off.

No NOS, pure horsepower and gearing...

Grunt... groan... thud... b*stard... twiddle... tweak...

New speed for the DOME ZERO - 255MPH...

Took the full length of La Sarthe II to do it... and I MEAN the full length, that tyre wall at the bottom must have concrete in it! :D

NB. Beaker, if you like the Chapperal '67, try the 1970 one too... the gearing on that is more workable, and with a bit o'tweaking, I managed to get rid of the HORRENDOUS turbo lag it also suffered in 1st gear, and only lost say 6-7 MPH at the top end... my '70 Chappie can do the 400 metre run in somewhere around 9 seconds... goes up to well over 260 mph... Still wish it had NOS though! :)

As for the ESCUDO... PD seem to have castrated it in 4, compared to 3... it seems to have mysteriously lost about 700HP, and the top end, even with NOS, is a pale shadow of what it used to be... a real disappointment, for me. Shame too... I used to love blasting mine round Laguna Seca in 3... now that challenges the driving skills, like no other car does! :D

Sooooo, did anyone figure out if the GT3 wheelie trick is possible in GT4? And peterattheboro, what were your settings on the minolta to get it that fast, I've done everything possible but push my tv around the room to get the car to go any faster.... :banghead:

viper srt-10 jus did it last night at Sarthe II 1032hp..450km/h = around 281.25mph..i styll felt some pull in it so i guess 300mph is possible 💡

I ended up buying the '70 Chapparal "Vacu-car" and I got the Las Vegas Strip tour done in 9.4... :dopey:

I will also concur with your Escudo assessment. I won mine last night after doing the Cathedral Rocks Rally on Hard level. Put a stage five turbo on it, took as much downforce as I could out of the wings, took it to the test track for a max speed test...220mph. :yuck: I remember 300+ mph in GT3 with the same setup. Maybe it's more realistic...but it's not as much fun.

I sold the Escudo...if it can't go as fast, I sure don't want a car that can't turn, either. :guilty:

Yeah, it's a fun car, that Chap '70 - looks like a washing machine that went badly awry, but you have to love that power! ;)

A for the Escudo, the only thing it's good for is setting 0-400 metre times... it's faster than the F1 Car... around 8.5 seconds if memory serves me right... but a real let down otherwise! :(

(I used to enjoy putting the Escudo up against the Toyota GT-one in GT3... the pleasure of watching a 1350BHP GT One (440+ KPH) being destroyed by the 1881BHP Pikes Peak (490+ KPH!) was something that puts a huge grin on my face, every time! ;))

Hmmm... some more top speeds for me now :)

Plymouth Superbird - 242 MPH. Jetboy, not sure what settings you're using, but I had no problems with lift or stability? (I don't care much for tuning race cars either... 1. because EVERYONE does that, 2. because they're naturally going to be the fastest cars, so where's the challenge? and 3. they're so darn twitchy at high speeds!)

Buick Special - 268 MPH - Love that car! :)

And DLRgian, Nope the Dodge Viper SRT-10 won't do 300mph - not quite - but it does a pretty respectable 295 MPH on Le Sarthe II... not easy to get 295 out of it though... but it's easy getting 293 on the test circuit! :)

And finally 303MPH out of the TVR speed 12 - (I saw someone claimed 320 MPH for this car in an earlier posting, but without wheelie-ing it? Not gonna happen... unless someone knows the setups involved, I think 303 is about as much as it can do on all fours...)

But I still reckon my finest tune up was getting 89 MPH out of the Daihatsu Midget mark I! *laughs*

Catch me if you can! - FTB ;)

382.11mph Gotta love the GTone

You can wheelie almost all LM cars. My favorot is the R8, it leavs a trail of sparks, just like a Jet ski leves a trail of watter. Its fun to see.

What settings did you use for the GT ONE to reach that speed? I haven't broken 290 mph yet.

If you click the Rac3rX Tune Shop, in my sig, it will bring you to a page with a list of all the cars Ive tunned so far and links to ALL the settings.

Enjoy!
