PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7

I’m sharing this because @praiano63 stated that he didn’t have plans to tune the Lamborghini Veneno. I purchased it last night and I accidentally found a Tokyo Rain WTC 600 winner. I’m horrible at this race, but the Veneno makes it way easier to win. It’s basically undrivable maxed out in power IMO, but 600 in the rain is going to be a real money maker for me now.

158 is the magic number for ride height with PP. I couldn’t find any tunes for it, so it’s an adapted Praiano Huracan 600 pp tune with no ballast added and increased ride height for more power added. I know it could be a lot better, maybe one day he will re-visit it. I think a lot of the improvement is in the diff settings. The gear ratios are a work in progress, you don’t use 7th much, it barely touches it when it goes over 200 mph on the long straight away.

Edit: brake balance is an accident. It should be zero.
This tune is a real winner for Tokyo. I ran it in 26:52.192 on my first and only attempt, after which I immediately decided to tinker with it in hopes of finding a 700pp Sarthe/LeMans tune that could compete with Master P's brilliant GTO 84 that I've managed a 30:02.790 with.

What I ended up with is not only faster in my hands than the GTO, but easier for me to drive. Credit where it's due though, all I did was tweak the work of yourself and Master P. Starting with your Tokyo tune, make the following changes if you want to give it a try...

  • Switch to RH tires (and buy a set of inters as well of course)
  • Set Body Height to Front: 126, Rear: 119
  • Add all three Intake & Exhaust "Racing" bolt-on upgrades
  • Set ECU Output and Power Restrictor both to 73%
  • Set transmission top speed to 430km/h. Note: if you've changed the final gear, switch to the default gearbox then back to "Racing" and it should reset once you change the top speed value.

That's it. You should end up at 699.82pp. Another note regarding the gearbox - you obviously aren't getting anywhere close to 430km/h but setting it this way effectively converts it to a 5-speed.

I suck at short-shifting and was struggling with fuel economy regardless of how much I fiddled with the engine; setting it up like this was my solution. I can run 3 laps at FM6 and 2 laps at a mix of FM1 & FM2 - just run 1 lap at FM1 and 1 lap at FM2 if you're lazy like me! - with absolutely zero additional fuel management.

The final result is a car that absolutely eats Sarthe. My best time is 30:00.046 and that was with one wet lap (though not wet enough for a switch to inters) moreover, I actually slowed down well in advance of the finish for fear of extending the race to 8 laps, which would have seen me almost immediately run out of gas! 7 laps in 29:58.XXX easily otherwise.

The Venaynay is now my go-to car for both Tokyo and Sarthe money runs. And to think, it's been sitting in my garage untouched for weeks.

Another set up I just tried was with intermediate tires. It’s still an easy win, actually easier IMO. It’s a different race, I was easily in first place on the first lap and did consistent 2:08-2:09 laps (and I stuck at this track). It uses less fuel, so I did fuel map one and pit a lap later, at the end of lap seven. You burn up the intermediate tires, so you have to do tires at the fuel stop.

To achieve this, I backed the power all the way out on but the computer and restricter and raised the ride height to 156F/160R, added 45kg of ballast (-50) and lowered the final gear ratio to 4.423.

Later, I plan to experiment with using Sports Medium and Soft tires to see it if effects traction much. The intermediate tires make that track like dry after lap two.

Just a FYI.

Not since the Tomahawk's glory days has a car made Tokyo this laughably easy! I've tried every Tokyo Rain tune out there and none of them felt this solid and planted. Never once did I skid or come close to hitting a wall. Epic work!

Not yet , i have to buy it after buying the McLaren 10.000.000.000.000 credits first. :scared:
Will you do the same you are doing for the CLK LM with a tune for Sardegna specifically and 1 all around for the McLaren too?

Really looking forward to comparing the 2

I borrowed most of the suspension settings and all of the diff settings from @praiano63 600pp huracan tune, but glad it worked so well for you.

Oh....come on...I don't need the tune yet, but I want to know what you think of it...been waiting all day for your info...lol just kidding friend.
I'll get mine now thank you for posting.

Cheers boss. Couldn;t get near 600 on your 2nd tune mate, so added ballast as well as lowering ECU to 70, just about won, but was close. Weird as I triple checked all settings, parts etc and it matched yours??

1st tune therefore much better for me... even that I had to lower ECU a bit further to hit 600 on SH tyres.

Ran FM2 until I pitted end of lap 7, then FM1 rest of race for very comfortable victory - thanks a lot!

Hello, The Wahoo!! Why are you interested in the 5-speed gearbox?

Hi B80!! For me 1st tune is better too!!! FM1 and pit end of lap 6.

@praiano63 just sent another donation. would you mind revisiting m4 road car and making an 'all purpose' 570-600pp kind of tune please.

reducing the 700pp you previously crafted to 600pp kind of works, but will be good to see if you can form one optimized for around 600 please, with suitable parts, plus been few game updates since. a decent starting point on transmission ratios for average tracks too mate and I can extend/reduce final if needed to specialize for certain tracks.

thanks!

Thanks a lot for your donation. I'll check the M4 today. What tracks are you prefer to drive ?

Mainly Northern Isle Speedway... :D. Just messing, going to be awkward and say not sure. Going to be working through a lot of menu books again, around the 550-600 mark. I know it makes it awkward, but just something reasonably generic if possible...

I'm not overly fussy or great driver trying to shave off final few 10th's on time trials. Main thing is getting rid of the nasty oversteer it possesses as stock, without turning into into understeer central and keeping/improving overall experience/performance.

I'm not really. I just couldn't get the fuel economy I was looking for any other way. I tried numerous gearbox settings that kept 7th and/or 6th within useful range but I was always just short of my goal of 3 no-compromise laps. Lengthening the gears to the point where 5th was now my top gear did the trick.
