PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7

I think that something in the lines of : "I found Praiano's tunes to be the best match to my driving style/skills of all the tunes and garages I found in here."would have been not only a much more accurate statement, but also wouldn't belittle the works coming out of all these garages we should be nothing except grateful for.
yes indeed, he would have said this sentence it would have been more appropriate. We do our best to offer cars. Everyone has their own riding style and every rider can find their tuner that suits them best. But from there to say that the others are zero no. It is not said.

I think the medium RPM, but I’m not in front of my PS5 to double check. It’s always got great mpg. Have you tried it? It’s always been a fun/easy one to slide around the track.
I tried the Gr. B NSX but I don't recall it having great mpg. I need to try and compare them I guess.

Sauber C9 is great! Thanks! Used it for the new 800PP in Tokyo. Very easy. At Sardegna 800 i had some 1:36 laps which is great for me (on controller, automatic transmission, DR:B). As i drive AT i didn't use the fully customizeable transmission and used the PPs for more power. Will try custom transm. tomorrow.
So, today i used the custom gearbox. Instead of 81/100 i had to go 77/99 on ECU auf powerlimiter. Funny that it felt like it needed more fuel. I had a 1:35:8 but not even one 1:36 because i had to drive FM2 mostly (and because i am not very consistent).

Praiano, would you be so kind to evaluate that custom gearbox needs more fuel and if it feels slower or faster to you if you have to dial the power back like me?

How can you adjust your settings and re-measure to check results now? Physically do a lap and watch car and study every replay..?!🤔

Before you could raise/ lower any setting, and then "triangle" would recalculate pp.
(By doing a simulated run in the car supposedly)

But, now that suspension, and diff have no effect on pp, how can you tell if your improving your rotational g or acceleration times?!

Im sorry, but we all know that is bs-

THIS MAY NOT EFFECT PP, BUT WE ALL KNOW IN THE REAL WORLD, SUSPENSION HANDLING IS A MAJOR PART OF PERFORMANCE!

I FEEL BAD YOU HAVE TO RE VISIT SO MANY TUNES!!

How do you tune suspension and differential if it does not effect pp now???!!!

Honestly the main reason I visit. No problem tuning trans and down force, but enjoy your suspension work! Was looking forward to nice low slung cars again...
To be honest i`ve never took any notice of what the measure tool says,i only use it to get to the right PP.I go on a track do a lap, then alter, try again. Its long winded but i find it a better judge of how the car behaves, not some rotational g figure etc.
When i tried red bull ring in the Focus ST i altered front camber several times and the car behaved a bit different, sometimes a litter better turn in,but the measure tool figures didnt change.Im no pro on tunes and i dont understand 100% what it all means so i just`mess around` until i get a setting i like.

I’m assuming the best starting approach for many of these tunes now would be to lower the horse power to fit the previous pp of the tune, then lower the suspension height and keep the other suspension settings roughly the same. Then test how it handles and if it’s still good, set the gears for the new horse power level.

@praiano63 Can you confirm whether this approach is a good one? At least as a temporary solution?

I have noticed that when I put the clutch and flywheel the pp go down and when I remove them they go up. Take this into account.

I’ll just wait for another invite.
Well, getting a specific invite can take ages, because there is only 1 chance for a ticket per day, right? a lot faster to grind the money for a new body, i guess. What really brakes the neck is a wide body, because you can't undo that. Does it affect PP though?

Praiano is way better at tuning than anyone I know who posts on here, but I’ll tell you what I do as a novice tuner. Suspension settings and diff settings don’t effect pp now, so I first play with the power output and different turbo set ups and types of tires and also aero to get the PP down to the level of the race I’m setting it up for.

As far as suspension and diff tuning, I change one thing at a time that I think will help with what issue it’s having (ie understeer, oversteer, stability). I do one thing at a time to see if I made it better or worse. If you change multiple things then you don’t know what made it better or worse. I don’t always do a few laps. I do it by feel and lap times, but often I can tell if something is way worse after just a turn or two. I don’t think many people have the time or patience to analyze laps replays like studying game film.

That’s just how I do it, I’ve always been curious as to Praiano’s process. Especially, since he does so many so fast and also has a job and apparently also sleeps at night. Hah.
Sorry , again i have to say again that i can't read long post without spending a lot of time trying to understand what i read. (Still because of my aphasia ....again)
I don't think i'm superior or inferior to anybody at all. My cars normally fit to the majority of players and i produce a lot cars in a short time.
I rarely drive any others tuners cars , but when i do , i can say that there is some amazing tuners around here.
Since GT5P with Lion's Den who was my inspiration , to GT5 &6 with shaunm80 from Exeter ( i really love some cars from him).....
There is a lot of good people in this tuning division.
All player have a lot of choice . Just drive and test , be curious, you'll have a lot of surprises trying cars in all GTplanet tuning thread.

Sorry again if i don't answer everybody , but after this 1.23 update , i spend more time driving than reading.

Have fun.

Thanks a lot my friend for those kind words . Since GT6 you are my inspiration with shaunm80 and I thank you again and again

Good drive and enjoy

Porsche 918 Spider '13 - 800PP - Racing Soft Tires - All Track

NO Wide car , Normal car
Rims size up to you

Front A - Side A - Rear A - Wing custom

Excelent , top superior car . I've tested the steering angle kit but i didn't like it. Not performant at 700PP at all.

To set the gearbox .
Set final gear to max 5.000
Set top speed autp to mini 250 kmh (mini)
Set any individual gear ratio starting fron 1st to 7th gear. In case the ratio number window don't reach this number , mess with the next closer gear and come back to the one you want. A wider window will appear. (I know it's complicate , but this is the 💩 that PD do any new update.)
Set final gear to 2.500

Enjoy your drive.
I bought this, but the electric runs out after a few laps, making the car a dudd. Also the throttle cuts out all the time mid-corner making it almost undriveable. Am I missing something?

its electric? Didn’t realise. Close to my fave car in the game. Took it for a rap yesterday after 1.23 and was hella fun like before

The 918 Spider is hybrid, just like the LaFerrari and the FXXK (is that the right name?), so the battery runs out quickly rendering the car pretty much useless on longer races.

Edit: wording

Not even longer races. It can’t do 4 laps of Fuji which is well under 2 minutes per lap! The throttle randomly engaging mid corner also just keeps spinning me out.

Sometimes a WB boosts the PP, sometimes the opposite. It varies from car to car.

Yep that was rude, unnecessary and uncalled for but it's also an incredibly uneducated statement.
Praiano's tunes have always put a strong emphasis on rendering cars behaved and predictable.
There's always been faster tunes than Mr.P's, usually trading some stability and predictability for rotation speed.
It's just that these tunes often require a much higher driving skill level to push hard than Praiano's machines.

It appears that I inadvertently ruffled some feathers here. I said on here, meaning this thread. I honestly don’t check other tuning threads. I have only checked a handful of other threads outside of this one when I’m looking for tunes on a specific car. I know there are other good tuners on here. I was just trying to preface and not overstep in his thread since this is Praiano’s thread and about his tunes and I try hard to not over step.

So my apologies to other tuners out there. Any slight wasn’t intentional. I do need to search more in other threads period and I also need some GrB tunes for my rally cars for rally and street.

I'd just like to express my appreciation to gtplanet and especially, the Tuners. I've used settings from almost ALL of them and they have really elevated my enjoyment for the game. So, thanks to all of you!

Having said that...I'm soo hesitant to go and adjust the settings on all these cars. Who knows if PD will mess with PP again in another update. Some are now higher, some are lower - all over the place. :banghead:

Question: is the custom transmition per se faster than the standard one (less resistance or something) or is its only positive point that it is customizable (it often costs more than 10PP so to me it would be strange if it had no other positive effect).

Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R '99 - 600PP - Sport medium Tires - Nordschleife

Wide car
Rims size up to you
Width wide
Offset wide

Front A - Side St - Rear St - Wing Custom

So this is my first 1.23 tune. A lot of things change for PP setting cars. Low front end high rear end for max grip and eagerness , without influence on PP system. Setting the downforce for the best balance without increasing so much PP , able to add some more power instead.

The car is 7:05 in my hand , 8 seconds faster than my best car before 1.23 . A real beast.
It's possible to use the car on Tokyo rain too , just put Hard compound tires , increase the power to 600PP and set final gear to reach 340 kmh.

Some kind of bug or did i do something wrong: i did everything as described but cant get the car under 600 as wheels cant be installed "wide". I'll do it ad press "install" but nothing changes. Width and offset stay standard.

Have you gone to gt auto and made it wide? (where you can wash cars, change oil, etc). You need to do that before you can install wide wheels.

It have to match , with the wide car option you install customs rims and Width and offset wide. I've checked this now.

Wide car
Rims size up to you
Width wide
Offset wide

Front A - Side St - Rear St - Wing Custom

Engine tuning is optional but need "weight reduction 2"
