So, as the title says what do you prefer?

For me it would have to be N/A just because of the consistency, nothing annoys me more then sliding around a corner and then getting a sudden increase in power. With N/A you don't have to worry about that. The torque is going to be a lot more stable and it lets you focus more on your steering input rather than having to look at the tachometer to see when your going to get a kick off power.

In real life I'd be tempted to go NA, for the same reasons as you, but also because of engine temps, turbo cars can have serious heat issues running at full chat at relatively low speeds. NA's tend to handle the abuse a little better, but in GT, the turbo power helps as I like the JDM stuff, plus I won't die or have to pay to fix my car if I get caught out by the boost coming on in GT.

If we had engine swaps, and I could run a supercharged V8 in my Nissans, then that would be my choice.

Yeah I'd go for V8's or just keep the car as it is without a turbo and try and milk as much power out of it as I could.

Depends on the car and what you're used to. AE86 would almost always be N/A for me, but I have a turbo'd Altezza. Generally I like low rpm turbos as most cars fall short in that band. IRL I'm pretty much all turbo (diesel mostly). It's in my family as my mother hates driving N/A. I may only be 15, but so is Jack Shanahan! ;P

Depends a lot really, but between the two, I'd prefer N/A. However, there are turbos and turbos :) I tend to use Low or Mid RPMs turbos though, better IMO.
Having said all this, my favorites are the Superchargers for obvious reasons.

Im yet the first one here to say i prefer turbo above all it keeps me on angle and the boost kick makes me able to go on a long drift if there is a long straight ending with a corner to the same direction

HairLad was first but never mind :)
Wouldn't you prefer to constantly have that power though?

Maybe but imo having a long slide with a boost is better than having the power to always do it without the boost because eventually youll get used to it and lose ur feel for short corners

I'll say N/A for the gradual power although a low boost turbo will do the job nicely also. Most of my turbo cars still run a stock turbo unless its absolutely needed.

I prefer NA or a supercharger when it comes to games and real life road track racing. I just prefer the feel of instant power and not having to wait until a turbo spools up.
When it comes to fuel economy or to simply have power on standby, the turbo is very efficient. Turbos are enjoyable for daily drivers like my 04 WRX.

I prefer NA for the constant power delivery. I find power delivery too peaky when using a turbo on a controller, its hard not to fall off the boost while making throttle adjustments.

Same with wheel, you have to be a lot more delicate with throttle when using a turbo engine as opposed to N/A

Right, i'm a fan of both. However, they need to be used correctly.

N/A is great for fun, fizzing and lively driving. Cars built to limits, usually low ones, designed to connect you with the track in the purest way.

Turbos are for big power, full on builds. If i'm drifting, making tuned cars, or general scary things, turbo is the answer.

I just like the concept of a I4 with ITB's.. Bashing the limiter, through industrial areas. Then for I6 Engines are turbo for me is almost necessary, cause its just me. Then with anything over 8 Cylinders, it doesn't need forced induction, but its not a bad thing to have either. Once again its all just my perception on things.

N.A and 4AGE baby. Can kick ass on rFactor with an 178HP AE86 against these S-Series, HCR32s, Rexs, Chasers (some of them even run V8 and I can outrun them Ueo Style lol), but I barely drift in GT since it isn't simulated "correctly" for wheel users, personally.
