I had hard time to believe that my pc could run it without trouble.

P4 HT 3ghz
9800 pro

I wonder what they did to the game so it look neat on my PC. :odd:

Really?

I was wondering how it will run on mine. I also have a 9800 Pro (128mb) and an Athlon64 3200+. I only have 512mb RAM though.

Nice screens. I know what you mean, it runs beautifully even on 1280x1024!

Pretty annoying how it saves screens as TGAs, hopefully there'll be a way to change that in the full version. I just completed the demo tonight, it was a lot of fun and gets really weird towards the end

My favourite parts are all those weird portals, they're awesome. Some really innovative stuff in this game 👍
Thank you about the screens. Yes the TGA saves are such a pain to convert. But if you dont convert them they are 3mb per pic! I got them down to around 100kb after a few conversions.
So far the portals are just awesome! This game is going to open up a new genre for FPS games. There really is nothing out like this game at all. YOu really have to pay attention or you wont know if you are on the wall, floor, or ceiling. So awesome! I cant wait to play thru this demo over the weekend.

Looks like his eagerness to create the thread early so that he could be the first to post screenshots backfired.

How big is the download?
Yup backfired big time.
The download was 450mb but I had heather DL it from download.com and we must have got a busy file or a bad file so because it was only DL at 28kb/sec and it took almost 4 hours!
I dont think your computer would have a hard time runnning it at all.

I was just shocked how interactive the game is. You can turn on and off any lights, play any of the arcade games, change jukebox music, change tv channels and volume, flush toilets, turn on air dryers, turn on sinks, very interactive. I will be buying this game for sure. 👍 👍

Actually I think the download was about 450MB?

Anyway, the demo was a lot longer than i expected and that freeze gun is awesome! This game is so cool, i want it now :grumpy:

Hehe, sounds like Duke Nukem 3D! Can you sing kareoke and give money to strippers?? :D

But he's posting different flavours!

*licks screen*

As we said above its a pain in the butt to post pics from this game. So if hes planning on posting all those different types of screen shots, he better set several hours aside to do it. THe screen shots save as TGA files and each screen shot is 3mb unless converted properly. ONce converted each screen shot is around 100k.

Try a program called FRAPS. You can save screenshots as JPEGS without having to do all that converting :)

I have been told about that program for a long time. One of these days I might seriously have to DL it. Im just too afraid to get spyware or some crap on my new pC. :nervous:
It sure does sound convenient though. I think I can also get videos from that program too. I think.

FRAPS....Spyware? FTW Is you smoking?

Anyways, XFire takes screenshots too. Scroll Lock + S.

Also, you have to purchase FRAPS to have it save as JPEGS...otherwise it saves as .bmp I think.

I am reading up and doing a little research on Fraps right now. I still havent completely figured out the xfire thing yet either. It has never let me online in Far Cry yet so I gave up on it. I have so much stuff on this new pc and I dont even know that half of it does.

In Source games I usually just hit F5 for screenies. All others I generally use XFire or the old fashioned Print Screen.

I made a Halo: Combat Evolved presentation video for my old Halo clan {!S} with FRAPS. The freeware version only lets you take 30 second clips at a time, but I compiled a bunch of different clips. Turned out nicely for a 2 hour job .

Demo's pretty long isn't it? Took me about 2 hours.
Thats great news then. I am taking my time with it and taking screen shots to really absorb the entire demo. Im glad to hear its at least 2 hours long. :) I only have mabey 30 minutes into it. And most of those minutes are just walking around trying everything out.. I will play it some more this weekend.

I've just played the demo considering that it's supposed to run ok on lower spec PCs, and I love it! Can't wait for the 360 demo. 👍

Half way there folks, I sh0ould have screenchots up by the weekend. Seems rather fun, this is one game I'm definately getting when it comes out.

Edit: oh bugger, the game wont start. Don't expect any screenshots from me.

Just beat the demo in about an hour and a half and I must say. HOLY CRAP THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME!! Nothing like it anywhere. You absolutely have to check out the demo. THe puzzles were great, the graphics were great, the guns, transporting into a spirit to walk thru walls and find hidden ramps, walking on walls and ceilings. SOO AWESOME!
Here are most of the screenshots I took. I even moved the screenshots from the other thread into this one so you could see all of them at once. :)

This game looks very promising. The ship levels remind me a lot of Doom 3 though. I especially like how some of the weapons work. I did have problems running the demo... Every so often the audio would cut out and I'd have to exit and reset the game. Not cool. I'm not sure if it has to do with my onboard sound or if it's game related (Although, now that I think about it, I had some issues with Dungeon Siege II audio wise...). Hopefully that will be sorted out by release.

I was pretty impressed how I could run the game on high settings with no slow down on an AIW 800XT at 1280 x 1024. TES: Oblivion kills my system at that resolution. Is there a console command or something you can use to track your FPS in game? That would be nice.

Nice screens man

Seriously though, this game is like nothing i have ever played. Going through all those weird portals is so cool, and walking on ceilings is awesome. I'll definitley be getting this game.

My 1st bunch of screens of the demo runs in 1024x768, with all the other settings in high.

Why do you play the game in 1024x768??

I have a 6600gt and it play fine everything on high in 1280x1024...

Trust me, don't bother saying anything...

Don't bag on him too bad. He said he would have screens, and he lived up to what he said. You can't kill him for trying to live up to a promise.

Oh man you're such a party pooper.

:indiff:

What are the minimum specs of this game? I can't really believe it runs as well as you guys say so..

Trust us. The game runs perfect in 1280x1024. I didnt see a single slow down at all. The beginning of the demo had some jagged lines from lack of Anti Aliasing but as the game progressed it seems most of that went away. I dont know how they made this game run as good as it does, but they did a fantastic job with it. 👍 👍
I still havent tried the multiplayer yet. I am still buying this game for sure. 👍
That room with the gravity buttons was just insane. No other game like this one at all.

I think it's just that the Doom 3 engine is very smooth, i remember that ran great as well on high settings. This game uses an 'enhanced' version of the Doom 3 engine, so i guess that explains it :sly:

That makes perfect sense to me. It does have a Doom 3 feel to it but way way way better. And I really enjoyed Doom 3 but this is just soo much more than that with all the wall climbing and all the other features I mentioned. Doom 3 was quite linear. This game is not even close to linear. :)
