I am using a Thrustmaster T300 and TH8A Shifter Disc version of game and update 1.01 installed

1) I have enabled H pattern shifter in game but it will not work at all on any car that I have tried. BMW M30, Cobra etc. Paddles work fine and so does the clutch

Edit: The fix is to plug the shifter into the PS4 either directly or through a USB hub.

2) Race starts. I cannot select a gear until the race starts. Therefore the field gets the jump on me every time. So how do you guys start? I also think this may be tied into Q1.

Edit: The work around (not a fix) is to enable Auto Clutch and just bash it into gear with the paddles when the lights go out. Or if you are using the (now working) shifter, start in gear and when the lights go out just drop the clutch.

3) Where are the tyre temps? In PBugs I could pull up the telemetry and see what was happening and tune from there. How do I do this in AC? If I return to the pits and look at the tuning data there no current tyre temps shown.

Edit: You must have "Tyre Wear" enabled for the tyre temps to show

So far thoroughly enjoying driving all the cars and tracks. Even the AI is quite pleasant. I do think they have nailed it there too. We just need to sort some niggles out ;-)

Edit: Why can't these studios actually explain some of this stuff rather tahn leave it up to the public to "suck it and see"? So all my issues are related to not knowing how the game is supposed to work :-(

I have a G29 on ps4, can not find any dead zone settings for the wheel. Unless I am missing it I can't find any steering sensitivity at all, only force feedback settings.

I went onto drift and no matter what I do it over steers big time or just drifts off into a wall with no control of the car.

Would of thought there would be more wheel specific settings like in dirt rally.

Anyone experiencing the same problems?

Are your shifter plugged into the wheel and everything is plugged to the ps4 ?

On pc you're starting in first gear and can rev without trouble. Maybe a day one bug ?

I think it's time to stop the ridiculous "PBugs", it's now proven AC isn't any better on this part ;)

Yes. works fine PBugs, Dirt Rally, GT6.

Quote: "the ridiculous "PBugs"," No it isn't. It still has day ONE bugs in it and SMS has stopped all support for the game! PBugs on day one was almost unplayable on PS4 with its continual crashing back to XMB, the horrendous tyre physics and the *STILL* ridiculous AI.

By comparison Assetto Corsa is the exact opposite. It is playable, it is enjoyable and not one crash yet in about 5 hours. Apart from the couple of minor issues here (and I am not sure if it is me or not yet) it has been smooth running.

From watching an ISR video, Billy Strange said he had to plug the shifter directly into the PS4 for it to work, it wouldn't recognize it just plugged in the wheel.

Bug/issue on AC PS4 V1.01

Once the Update installed in the track selection screen there are track duplicated (before update it was ok)

FIXED! Yep that solved the issue alright. The shifter plugged directly into PS4 (well via a USB hub anyway) works fine.

The starts are a little better. It now still will not be in gear before the count down to the start though. BUT having the shifter in 1st gear once the lights go out it is instantly in gear and all I have to do is dump the clutch so starts no are OK. Also all shifts must be made with the clutch

It still does not help with the paddles though :-( Unlike other games it will not respond to the paddle shifters if H pattern is selected.

So we are a little closer

I had the same problem, or at least I thought.
In the BMW E92 the paddles did not work.
When I selected the 458 italia (Which has no stick at all) the paddles worked fine.

This is how it's always been in AC until very recently. I believe the last big update was the one that included the ability to put it in gear before the start, along with the ability to have false starts. I never found it to be much of an issue though, just rev the engine and drop it in gear when the lights go out. With the new system I believe you have to wait until the lights appear before you can put it in gear. I think the console build may be slightly behind the current PC build so if you can't yet put it in gear when the lights come on hopefully you'll be able to in the near future.

At last, voice of sanity.

OK that's the way it is then :-( So I have now enabled "Auto Clutch" and just bang it into gear when the lights go out.

Any idea on how I am supposed to access tyre temps? It would certainly be useful in working tunes out if I could ;-)

It changed recently on the PC so maybe it will change soon on the console. Did you try putting it in gear after the lights pop up on the screen? That will at least tell us if the latest PC function is on the console or not.

No idea about tire temps. On the PC it's an app that you activate but it seems those apps aren't on the console so I don't know if you can access it.

But still, calling a game by another name like you're doing is pretty childish imo.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. I am also entitled to mock a A$100 game that I paid for that is still full of day one bugs that the developers have ceased support for.

I would also like to point out I really don't want to discusses the game anymore either. Quite frankly I am over it and have been for a long time.

Tyre temps can be accessed in tuning setup. It isn't possible to check them on the fly. But if you cut some laps then go to the tuning menu the summary on the left hand side of the screen will have tyre temps.

Is it just me or does the game not run at 60 FPS at any point? To me it seems to always run in this sort of a slow motion/stutter way (as if it's running in between say 30 FPS and 45 FPS).

Does anyone else experience this?

Graphics wise I think it holds up pretty well, apart from the aliased shadows from the trees across the track at certain times of the day which can be very distracting as they shimmer so much.

Physics and FFB are both done so well and it's great to be able to experience this on PS4.

I did assume this could be the case but as I stated when I do this there are no temps. I have tried during practice, races, hot laps etc and I still have no data for temps. I even had a look when in drift mode too.

The only temps given are cold and hot at the top of the screen not the 3 temps across the tyre for all 4 wheels.

If this is the way it is suppose to work can other PS4 users please check to see if they can access tyre temp data?

Good news, this is a quote from Kunos on the AC gamehub on X1 :

Hey guys ! We are aware of an issue with the framrate and our development team have been working hard to fix it.
Expect an update early next week!

On PS4 french version you get " alignement " for Camber wich like almost will bet right mean alignment
on Caster you get " Angle de " who just mean , angle of ...
And for toe you get " placement " who in this case will probably mean position , but position of what ?! LOL
Come on alignment will always sound like toe for everyone , it's what that setting do adjust wheel alignment , they probably give the traduction job to a south italian , because even a north on speak always a little bit of french as the two country have commun border .
And not a real problems but something really bad for most people , tire pressure are locked in PSI , why give us MPH & KMH choice but lock this one ...

Is there an issue with brake temperatures on consoles? I've seen videos where the brake discs glow brightly right from get go. I wonder if it's a telemetric bug or just the glow texture being broken.

Not sure if brake temps are on the console yet. They were just added on the PC in the last update but only on a few cars in the Red Pack. Pretty sure the glowing is just a cosmetic thing as that's been there for some time.

Your entitled to your own opinion, however the use of quite frankly childish jibes such as this are not appreciated by the staff. As such please do not use it again.

Also, can you create your own lobbies, be it public or private?

Not yet, hopefully they will make that possible soon since it's pretty essential. I imagine it may not be an easy thing to make happen since they'll have to create some kind of server network that people can access and modify. On the PC we run private servers off our own machine or rent the space from third parties so I'm not sure if Kunos have much experience in making custom servers that players can access. I'm just guessing at that part, it could be easy but it might be rather tricky too.
