I changed to using automatic gearbox since the buttons for up/downshift are in the wrong positions (and not changeable) but that is even worse. The car does automatic upshifts but never down until you are already needing the gear below.

E - The less said about chase cam the better.

Change your buttons in the main PlayStation settings..
It's not ideal but at least you can change them

Got a Thrustmaster T500 RS and my Clutch is set as Gas and there is no way to fix that in this game. Had the same problem in Project Cars but at least that was fixable in the setup. Anyone else with similar issues?

Stupid question, but have you tried switching pedal mode from rally to formula or vice versa - with mode button on bottom left side of the unit - green/red light?

Anyone else finding the menu music only in one channel, sometimes left, sometimes right?
There's also some audio glitches in the engine sounds. It's only slight, I think it's environment dependent.
Good thing I'm not the only one... I've been going crazy checking all the cables in my sound system.

Err no :dunce:

Did really not even know that it existed :boggled:
For sure that will work... Tested it on the control panel with the latest update too and now it should be OK.

A stupidly easy fix 🤬 THX :embarrassed:

SG003 I was Time attacking Brands Indy when I noticed a constant flicker on the right side of the cockpit below the windscreen wiper.

Then a couple laps later the sound changed. I checked and sound was only coming out of the left speaker. A press of the PS button confirmed sound was fine outside the game but back in it. Left side only Quit and reloaded fixed the sound.

It only effects the music for me. the in game sounds are fine, it changes channel sometimes. It's really odd but is not a problem in game

I did assume this could be the case but as I stated when I do this there are no temps. I have tried during practice, races, hot laps etc and I still have no data for temps. I even had a look when in drift mode too.

The only temps given are cold and hot at the top of the screen not the 3 temps across the tyre for all 4 wheels.

If this is the way it is suppose to work can other PS4 users please check to see if they can access tyre temp data?
When you first go to setup when entering a hot lap/practice/qualifying session no tyre temp data will be shown as well what would be the point? they would be equal to the ambient temperature. You have to actually go on track and do some laps. After doing some laps if you were to exit to pits and go back into car setup you should have tyre temp info.

Yes, when just from the TV it is not noticeable but headphones it's dreadful :-(

I have edited my original post to say that you *must* enable tyre wear to have the tyre temp data. So all is well now. Thanx for the reply.

Your entitled to your own opinion, however the use of quite frankly childish jibes such as this are not appreciated by the staff. As such please do not use it again.

Of course I shall comply and as I said I am completely over that bug riddled game and really do not wish to discuss it ever again.

My th8a fails to work, even if it's plugged in to the ps4. I've also selected the H-pattern. Weird. Any ideas? I'm using a T500 wheel.

I am using a Thrustmaster T300 and TH8A Shifter Disc version of game and update 1.01 installed

1) I have enabled H pattern shifter in game but it will not work at all on any car that I have tried. BMW M30, Cobra etc. Paddles work fine and so does the clutch

Edit: The fix is to plug the shifter into the PS4 either directly or through a USB hub.

2) Race starts. I cannot select a gear until the race starts. Therefore the field gets the jump on me every time. So how do you guys start? I also think this may be tied into Q1.

Edit: The work around (not a fix) is to enable Auto Clutch and just bash it into gear with the paddles when the lights go out. Or if you are using the (now working) shifter, start in gear and when the lights go out just drop the clutch.

3) Where are the tyre temps? In PBugs I could pull up the telemetry and see what was happening and tune from there. How do I do this in AC? If I return to the pits and look at the tuning data there no current tyre temps shown.

Edit: You must have "Tyre Wear" enabled for the tyre temps to show

So far thoroughly enjoying driving all the cars and tracks. Even the AI is quite pleasant. I do think they have nailed it there too. We just need to sort some niggles out ;-)

Edit: Why can't these studios actually explain some of this stuff rather tahn leave it up to the public to "suck it and see"? So all my issues are related to not knowing how the game is supposed to work :-(

Unless you are changing your pedal to t3pa. If i remembered correctly there are no clutch on stock t300rs pedal is it ? so you need to enable auto clutch i guess. For paddle shifting car, i think you can shift into gear 1 after 3rd countdown light lit. Its the same if you had clutch also, only can shift in gear after 3rd countdown light lit.

Had you turn off automatic gearbox & automatic clutching?

Yep. It all worked with the paddles. Firmware issue?

SCG 003S GRAPHICAL GLITCH
I have only played for 2h so far last night and have encountered 1 problem so far.

The SCG 003S when in-car has a graphical glitch in that the blade becomes detached from the windscreen wiper and flickers wildly in the cabin. When you hit 200km/h it moves back far enough in the cabin that you cannot see it but once you slow sufficiently it moves back closer to the wiper again.

No serious problems on PS4-digital so far, but a visual glitch.

Whenever I use "dashboard" view,AI drivers disappear from their cars:confused:
Switching to any other view makes them visible again.

I've also noticed, game kind of stutters for a sec or two ,whenever damage display kicks in.

There's also glitch (or maybe it was designed this way?) that switches any user changed ffb settings to default values, if you change control options from wheel to pad or vice versa.

If you've tried a lot of cars and that problem still persists I'd say you need to post that one over on the official forums.

what wheel you using? should be solved by turning off all automatic clutch and gearbox function and enable H shifter and plug in straight into usb , not to the wheelbase.

I encoutered a graphical glitch with the Mercedes Benz AMG GT3. If you use the bonnet view, a portion of the screen in line of your sight is black and it stretches across the screen.

Can't do the first special event in the BMW driving around Magione. Every corner i take goes into full left or right lock?. The car is completely out of control..

Tried to do a time attack in the Escort. The car just stood there and I couldn't do anything, so quit after a few tries and now driving the old quattro

Edit. Nevermind, my mistake.

The game on digital download was perfect this morning. Tonight however - all cars pull the right. Using DS4 have to very slightly move the steering stick left to keep it straight but the moment it is touched again, all cars pull to right again. Annoying as hell as proper enjoying the game. (Apart from F40. That thing is impossible to drive!).

The DS4 is fine on other games so it shouldn't be that, that is at fault.

There's something wrong with the engine sounds, it's worse on some cars than others. The escort is the worst I've found, the engine glitches on an off, seems to do it more in the turns.

The lack of being able to setup an online lobby sucks too. I'm finding that I can't select a car when I get in to some lobby's, there's still slots available on the track but all the cars say unavailable. What's up with that?

Also, I'm finding myself in race rooms where most of the field quit before the race ends. Don't just quit because you're at the back!

And... Frame rate/tearing issues, my FFB settings keep changing to default, can't turn off proximity arrows or virtual mirror.

Apart from that it's fine

The Alfa Romeo GTA does this as well.

It's pretty bad to the point that I thought I had some problem with my sound system.

If you look left and right it will accentuate the effect.

Yep I've noticed looking left and right does this too. it's a shame I really like the handling, but this puts me off playing. Hope they sort this out soon.

There is a bug or design flaw with the race starts, if you pause the game as soon as the lights go out and select pits it will spawn your car in the pitbox at the end of the pitlane, you can get out with a pretty big lead (I presume it all depends on pitlane and start line position I've only tried it on Nurburgring to get around that tough career race in the E30 M3).

The sounds seem to be all over the place.

I have surround sound running through a DTS amp, which works well on all my other games. However with this game in the UI the sounds seem to move between the rear right and front left speaker every time I go back and forth to the UI (no other speakers omitting any sound). During racing most sound comes from the rear right speaker, with hardly any bass which doesnt even trigger my buttkicker. As others have said, it's worse on some cars than others and it's a real shame because the engine sounds are excellent IMO.

I loaded up P.cars just to see if it was my equipment causing these sound issues but all was fine, lets hope a fix is implemented soon!
