[Will the AI choose] group C lemans variants on lemans?
Yes, we have some track-specific logic so that the AI chooses the correct vehicle. pCARS1 players were badly out-running high down force AI vehicles at Le Mans (and Monza and...) so we took some steps to help match things up better such as choosing Le Mans (or low drag) version of the AI cars if possible. I know your next questions, "does the AI adjust their setup for high speed tracks?" Yes a little but don't wanna get into those details right now in this thread. But the problem of out-pacing the AI on low down force tracks from the first game has been reduced (eliminated?) in this game.

@IanBell and @The_American

I think you guys understand that I am extremely dissappointed that Peugeot didn't make it into the game for a second time in a row. Is there anything you can share on their absence? Is there some hope for me to behold with the upcoming DLC?

I can say though that I am still looking forward to start playing with that mighty 365 GTB 👍

Agree, it is a devastating blow to see the R18 TDI removed and maybe only because Peugeot got left out which was going to be its main rival. Everyone's hope (the ones who care about this) is now that you make it up via DLC, but probably is not even in your plans which is going to hurt a lot.
I believe it is always a mistake to remove content. It should be a golden rule not to, a major No, No.
This became one of those situations in life where you are given something only to be taken from you later, this should not happen.

This is still just a game though yeah? Licence maybe not granted? Unlikely removed to annoy people

I'm sorry if this has been addressed but just thought I'd ask directly instead of doing a search (forgive my laziness please). Will PC2 offer mixed classes on track at one time. For instance, instead of specifying just one car class or the dreaded "any" car class for entry onto the track - can the host set two to three classes to be present like at LeMans, i.e., other WEC, IMSA, etc type races? This is something I've always wanted but I haven't heard anything about it. Does anyone know if this will be offered in GTSport? Thanks a lot for the response.

Will this work for Daytona, Indianapolis and Texas as well? Not sure the the AI cars are "tuned" or if they just run to a time, but will the AI have Camber and other settings that would only be appropriate for Ovals?

Pretty sure we marked at least Le Mans, Monza and the Ovals as "high speed" tracks. These were the ones right off the bat where players were crushing AI on pure top speed due to AI using high down force settings/models. We do couple other things like taller gearing, not sure specifically about other areas like camber. I'm not sure if we enabled camber gain/loss simulation for AI..that's approaching "player-level fidelity" physics I think.

I've never tuned the aero or gearing on the GT3 cars at Le Mans and I would be caught and passed the whole race. I guess I don't have those problems.

Anyway, Game Of The Year for me right here

I really like that the website shows around 195 cars (pictures) but they only advertise 180 (text), shows that they aren't being polyphony and counting tiny differences as whole new cars. Much appreciated:cheers:

195 includes launch DLC. Number looks to be 187.

Just looking at the Touring Car list. Think it's been updated with the Renault and Opel swapped positions. Unless it was like that before and I missed it. Looks like my biggest fear has been realised...

They are in the same position.

It's not complete so I'm not celebrating yet. Maybe they'll add the Super Trofeo into Miscellaneous so I get it spot on and we get another car.

Looks like I was being a derp then. Still irritating.
The Super Trofeo could also be part of the Track Day list

Edit: Actually it probably won't be part of the track day list since its part of a one make series. I think your right about it being in miscellaneous.

I have to say the car list is pretty impressive.
Agreed. But if there's 2 things I do disagree with, it's the G57-P2 being a Trackday instead of a P2 car and combining the TCR and Super 2000 spec cars into the same class. I understand the reasoning in terms of car counts but TCR was 2 seconds slower in a dry qualifying at Monza this year compared with the 2013 qualifying in the WTCC. Around a more technical circuit like the Hungaoring, the gap is 1.3 seconds in TCR's favour and pretty even around the Salzburgring, I still find it weird having a FWD focused formula racing against a formula including both FWD and RWD.

Looks like we are getting all the Blancpain racing liveries and maybe a licence for the whole championship? Logo can be seen in game in the old PCars 1 menus bare mind.
Can see they all use Pirelli tires as well :)

Edit: Its a mod :(

I think that might be using a mod like Crowtrobots custom livery tool that was available for PCars 1 on PC. Could be wrong though I don't speak French.

Yeah the track day cars are weird. Yes the Aston, Pagani and McLaren belong in there but so does the Honda 2&4 concept, Ariel atom, bac, ktm etc. I know how they use a nurburgring benchmark time to separate cars but it's weird seeing those track toys in road classes. I would even say maybe as a wishful update making a track toys category and a track day special category.

I tend to do identical car races when using those kind of cars in pCARS1 as otherwise the balancing is off. Would rather race a field full of Monos than same class, for example.

There's 23 spaces in the official list marked TBA, I'm assuming these will be paid DLC cars?
No, pre-order DLC is known and marked in full and post-launch DLC is not related to the list. The TBA entries are all 'base game' cars to be revealed. Some stunners on the way...
