There's a list on Wikipedia of all GT4 cars but it's outdated. The takeaway is

-Audi TT
-Lotus Evora (Are we getting any Lotus road cars?)
-Maserati Gran Turismo
-Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport

By the way, if you look how the road cars are ordered you can see the different classes (not including the TBA cars):

A: McLaren 720S, P1, Pagani Huayra, Porsche 918 Spyder, Radical RXC
B: BAC Mono, Ford GT, Jaguar XJ220S, Pagani Zonda, Porsche 911 GT3
C: Acura NSX, Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, Chevrolet Corvette, McLaren 570S, McLaren F1, Mercedes AMG GTR, Nissan GT-R
D: BMW 1M Stancework, Caterham 620R, Chevrolet Camaro, Jaguar F-Type, KTM X-bow
E: BMW 1M Coupé, 2015 Ford Mustang, Mercedes A45, Mercedes C63, Lancer Evo IX, Lancer Evo X
F: Audi A1, Honda Civic, Lancer Evo VI, Renault Megane RS
G: BMW 2002, Ford Escort, Ford F150, 1966 Mustang
It would be a terrible shame if the F150 showed up to spoil races between the 2002, Escort, and Mustang.

Super Trofeo is a one make series like the Megane Trophy and RS01 Trophy. So that would go into Miscellaneous when it's announced. Probably not got a TBA slot because it doesn't matter which slot it takes.
Makes sense. So It could be the FXX K or maybe a Mk IV Toyota Supra SMS-R.

Having a look at the space, for it to be a Ferrari or a Toyota, the Honda and the Nissan have to be in different classes with the Ferrari in a different class and the Toyota in the same class compared to the Honda 2+4.

I just remembered, the time lapse video shows the F-150, GT86 & '66 Mustang at Brands Hatch.

I'm still so hurt by the idea that I won't see those iconic and beautiful vertical tail lights flying by at Le Mans from the R18 TDI... Could it be that they may implement it back if they bring a non-HY LMP1 as a DLC? I was hoping we would see Peugeot and they would race together but I guess this is just a pipe-dream now. damn this hurts.

After a nights sleep the pain has settled a bit :ill:. If I look "objectively" to the carlist, it is a great list and there are a few cars I look forward to to drive. Also the tracklist so far is very convincing and I am sure I'll find hours and hours of offline fun. Based on the carlist I have one absolute favorite and that is the Ferrari 365 GTB. I'll try to tame it within the best of my abillities and I am looking forward to start the career with the classic french livery plastered on it :D

I still hope that the DLC plans might include what I am really looking for together with some nice surprises 👍

Are there hopes that we see the Audi S1 RX and the Peugeot 208 RX at least in DLC ? they kinda are important cars to rallycross
Audi were a bit awkward with DiRT 4. However, with the billion Audis we have now, it's possible.

If we got Peugeot, we'd get other cars from them as well. No point having one car from that type of manufacturer.

The car list is nice even though I was expecting more modern touring cars and modern stockcars. By the way, I am surprised to see super2000 and TCR mixed.
I hope to see others TCR (Audi, Honda, VW,...) and Stockcars (Chevrolet and Toyota) in DLC.

In fairness, we don't actually know. Going by the way SMS did Road Cars, the Opel could be in a class on it's own for all we know and the Renault/Mercedes are Super 2000 spec as we've seen those race.

Comparing Monza Qualifying times, there was a 2 second gap. I'd say that's too much to equalise race cars.

Anyway, on the actual cars in game. Technically it counts as a double post but I'd argue it's reasonable.

The reason for the Endurance GT3s. Not surprised if anyone doesn't like them and I don't either since it makes SMS look like they're artificially increasing the car count.
Cheesenium
The reason we have endurance and non-endurance variants of the GT3s due to manufacturer requests or livery licensing. Personally, I am not a huge fan of these too.

Well Peugeot only motorsport cars are rallye and rallycross cars from the 205 to the 208 most noticably, the rest are familly cars, so it wouldn't be weird to have only one or a few cars. Perhaps in a dlc bundle, or with the on demand system. But I recal seeing 1 or 2 Peugeots in a car list video on youtube

Couldn't care less about the car list videos on YouTube to be honest. And from properly looking at Peugeot, you have a pretty good point. In circuit racing they have the Group C but that properly debuted in 1991 when the engines were downsized to 3.5L so I doubt SMS would add that. The only 3 properly unique cars I could think of them adding is the Super Touring, TCR and the RX.

Not even one SUBARU! I will wait to see if they come out with any DLC... That was may main gripe with the last game. Makes no sense to have multiple Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions and not one Subaru. People will argue that the Evo is better, but I daily drive and track my lightly modified 2013 STI hatchback and think it's the best all purpose vehicle out there.

Yes. It does make sense. Because they are separate manufacturers so have separate licensing intentions.

I will wait for Forza 7 then. It's a shame really. PCARS2 even has rallycross.
Well it depends what you want out of it. PC2 = sim, FM7 = simcade.

The Audi S1 RX will be very unlikely, EKS racing was until 2016 not supported by Audi so for sure Audi cannot license a car that isn't even completely their own. From 2017 on EKS has Audi factory support I believe.

There are quite a few manufacturers that should be included but not every developer can have every license for one reason or another. Maybe the cars-to-cost ratio wasn't worth the licensing fee or, maybe, SMS just wanted to focus on other brands to build certain motorsport categories.
All in all, I think SMS did a fine job with the car list and, right now, we can only hope that the cars/brands we love may appear in the future DLC.

I guess I'll be diving into PC2. My curiosity and expectations are way higher for this title (comparing to GTS). Also, the fact that there's already quite a large e-sports community around PC1 is very interesting.
