Alright then. With the Cars page update on the game’s main site and some stuff shuffled around or corrected, let’s try to guess what we’ve got coming once again, shall we?
GTO:
One car that fits here is the Ferrari F40 LM, since it debuted as a GTO car. As for what the other car may be, my bet is on the Toyota Celica IMSA GTO.
GT1:
The Ferrari F50 GT is one of them, since it was originally created to compete in GT1, just didn’t get the chance. The other one is a car that bears the class name: the Toyota GT-One (TS020) from 1998 specifically.
GTE:
We know this one already: it’s the Ferrari 488 GTE.
GT3:
One, we know is the Lamborghini Huracán GT3. The other, unless they surprise with something like a Callaway Corvette GT3, will be the GT3-spec Renault RS-01.
GT4:
Race version of the RocketBunny GT-86 anyone?
LMP1:
Missing the already confirmed by devs Toyota TS040 Hybrid.
LMP900:
It’s been shown that there will be two versions of the Toyota GT-One: the 98 and the 99. The 1999 version ran on the new LMP rules, so it fill one of the spaces. The other space is filled by the Ferrari 333 SP.
Vintage Prototype:
Ferrari 330 P4 was shown at one point, perfect rival for the Ford.
Vintage Touring and GT:
Classic Chevy Camaro Trans-Am and Ferrari 365 GTB4.
Ok, now these last two pose more of a challenge to figure out, let’s try and compile our knowledge so far to see how much we can complete.
Road Cars:
9 open slots. Aston Martin DB11 (1), Toyota GT86 (2), Toyota GT86 RocketBunny Road (3), Ferrari 288 GTO (4), Ferrari Enzo (5), Ferrari LaFerrari (6), Lamborghini Aventador (7), Lamborghini Veneno (8). Still one missing and I think I know what it is. We have the Raptor RTR and we have a Mustang RTR GT4-spec. Now, we two trends here: tuner car appears as both road and GT version (RocketBunny 86), and we already have one RTR Ford. My bet on the missing road car: Ford Mustang RTR Road version.
Track Day:
This one, I genuinely don’t know. On the one hand, it seems criminal to have the Mclaren P1 GTR and the Aston Martin Vulcan but no Ferrari FXX-K. It would be a car that would fit nicely there, yet I think we should have seen a trace of it by now. On the other hand there’s the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo, which we’ve known is coming for a while, and is a track car. I wouldn’t call it a trackday car, personally, but, then again, I wouldn’t exactly call a Ginetta G57 LMP a trackday car either. So I’m going to say the Lambo Super Trofeo is the last car of this class.
Hope you agree.
