What category was the Aston Martin DBR1 part of in PCars? There is no space in LMP1, the Toyota TS040-HYBRID has that, but there may be an LMP900 space. I just cannot recall.

It is LMP1, but without a rival, it likely got cut. Much like the Audi R18 TDI.

One thing we got to have in mind is that there are 32 cars for DLC. By logic, they got to have some "cool" cars on that list, so i assume some of our missing/wishful cars are in there.

It´s a shame for me because in Pcars one the two cars that i´ve driven the most were the Ford Fusion and the Mercedes C-Class DTM.

But the list is very good. Throw in a few DTM, Older Indys, some SuperGT cars and we´re pretty much getting close to a dream list.

Lol ovals finally in the game now but no NASCAR's.
Once again, the Ford Fusion NASCAR as seen in pCARS1 HAS BEEN CONFIRMED VIA TWITTER!!

Still looking for the tweet that confirmed the Fusion specifically, but for now there is this....

It was in LMP1. The last of the cars in the game I think will mostly be Ferrari and Toyota.

The Ford Fusion has been added to the page as well under "miscellaneous", and so has the Ginetta G40 Junior.

I suppose that the Ariel Atom and the Caterham Classic are two of the missing road cars.

Theres 2 spots open in gt1, we could possibly get the lambo Diablo gt1. Groups 5 and C are both looking healthy. Wasn't expecting the nissan r89

Okay, so I just went down the list and assuming that all the "TBA" cars are not DLC, I counted 187 cars at launch. All 8 DLC cars from the pre-order and special editions were there so in those editions that's 195 cars. This is assuming that those TBA cars are not DLC and there aren't any extras that SMS are hiding away in their vault.

Don't understand how they could kill the R18 TDI and the Aston DBR12, class LMP1 HY or non HY is looking very very poor and disappointing. And I had hopes they would increase both of it, damn this is unexpected.
Could be that those two cars had no rivals and it didn't make financial sense to pay the license for two cars which would have effectively been their own "single-make class". Of all the classes, LMP1 would be the most difficult to keep up with and do well because the technology constantly changes and the cars haven't often been competitive.

Disappointed if I'm honest, big emphasis on sports cars but really was hoping for a lot of new additions in the single seater/touring cars department - yes there's a few but nothing that gets the pulse racing.

My only hope is there are decent indycar & touring car season modes implemented in the career mode.

Still trust it will be a great game none the less.

My personal guess is going to be the 1998 TS020 and Ferrari F50 since we've already seen both.

Also FWIW, I love the new car list. There are some cars I wanted to see that didn't make it in, but it looks like nearly every class is at a healthy size. I really liked seeing the high downforce and LM versions of the Group C cars. Bringing in multiple engines for the Ligier P2 is a great choice also!

I personally hope the the fictional LMP1 cars can be brought up to 2014+ regulations AT LEAST in terms of physics. They are somewhat on par now, but if they could be turned into a 4MJ and 8MJ cars, I think it'll partly satisfy the fans that wanted updated LMP1 cars, including myself.

I am very disappointed by the LMP1 line-up too. Cutting the Audi R18 TDI and Aston Martin DBR1-2 is BS. I was hoping to see the Aston in Gulf livery. I do understand the possible reasoning of not wasting licence fees on something they deem to have no rival.

The LMP900 and GT1 line-up really is very nice though. The Toyota TS020 GT-one is my all-time favourite so getting that will be a dream come through finally. LMP2 and GTE will be super with Ferrari and Ford.

Seeing Formula B and Superkart dropped too seems odd. Much rather FB over FA.

There is a lot of great stuff though. Roll on 22 September...

It seems to be a llimited selection of cars with the Kaz effect of duplicated models, but I think the best part of project cars 1 was the variety of tracks and it seems will be the same for PC2

Because those cars have no rivals. There are more teams on this grid than there are on the 2017 WEC grid. I'd say it's reasonable and expected.

Dammit I keep forgetting they didn't announce Ferrari yet lol. You might be right, still not a bad car.

By the way, if you look how the road cars are ordered you can see the different classes (not including the TBA cars):

A: McLaren 720S, P1, Pagani Huayra, Porsche 918 Spyder, Radical RXC
B: BAC Mono, Ford GT, Jaguar XJ220S, Pagani Zonda, Porsche 911 GT3
C: Acura NSX, Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, Chevrolet Corvette, McLaren 570S, McLaren F1, Mercedes AMG GTR, Nissan GT-R
D: BMW 1M Stancework, Caterham 620R, Chevrolet Camaro, Jaguar F-Type, KTM X-bow
E: BMW 1M Coupé, 2015 Ford Mustang, Mercedes A45, Mercedes C63, Lancer Evo IX, Lancer Evo X
F: Audi A1, Honda Civic, Lancer Evo VI, Renault Megane RS
G: BMW 2002, Ford Escort, Ford F150, 1966 Mustang

The GT4 lineup looks much better. Hope it's a competitive field this time around instead of the ginetta being much faster than the other GT4 car's.
