The Audi S1 RX will be very unlikely, EKS racing was until 2016 not supported by Audi so for sure Audi cannot license a car that isn't even completely their own. From 2017 on EKS has Audi factory support I believe.

It will feel weird though, knowing half the top RX cars will not be in the game and that we will play with more unkown cars, no Peugeot 208 RX, no audi S1 RX, no ford fiesta RX, but we have a honda RX coming out of thin air. Luckily we will have the ford focus and volkswagen polol gti. I mean, if they wanted to bring out less known cars, they could have gone for the citroen DS3, the kia rio, or even the mitsubishi mirage, the honda isn't even in the leaderboards.

Jake, you have a serious, legitimate problem if you don't respect the ACR.
Somebody didn't get the film quote.:lol:

Honda is a GRC car. Not a World RX car. That's why you don't know about it.

I just remembered, the time lapse video shows the F-150, GT86 & '66 Mustang at Brands Hatch.
Damn, that's one of the classes in which I'll be spending most of my time. It's too bad if that brick house on wheels will be there punting other cars around. :irked:

Audi were a bit awkward with DiRT 4. However, with the billion Audis we have now, it's possible.
Yeah, as soon as I found out you could not repaint the Quattro I sold it right back and bought an RS200 instead. Very stupid licensing stipulation for a game with a team management system like D4's.

Yeah, I think the F-150 should be a Track Day car.

Now that there are Porsches, thought people wouldn't be too upset with the list. Hype for the brand seems to have calmed down. Though Porsche, Ford, Mercedes, BMW and Nissan, have a healthy set of cars.

Yep what Jake said. Dirt 4 is the officially licensed FIA WRX game so they have more (or only) FIA WRX supercars and tracks in it.

Project CARS 2 mixes things up a bit. They have the Focus, Polo and Mini Countryman from the FIA WRX season. They have the Honda Civic from the Red Bull GRC series (American RX series) and they added 2 fictional RX supercars in the form of the Mercedes A45 and Megane. In the end that's 6 different WRX cars as well. Also the tracks are a bit of a mix of everything. They got a bunch of FIA WRX tracks (Hockenheim, Lydden, Hell, Loreac), a few from GRC (Daytona, GRC was at DirtFish in 2014) and also a couple of tracks from neither one of the series like Knockhill and that fictional track from Africa. And I saw a rumor about someone mentioning Brands Hatch RX in a live chat group.

I have done the Dirt 4 rallycross for a few weeks and it was fun, really liked the group B RX as well. But that game seriously needs ALL the FIA WRX tracks, just like Codemasters does with the F1 series. In the end PCARS 2 will have more RX tracks so the longevity there will be better IMO even though it's not all officially licensed under 1 license. SMS does have the official license of the GRC RX Lites though (that OMSE RX Lites "Ford Fiesta" with about 300 bhp).

Keep remembering "DLC". Forza has just about built their games around that. We'll get more "cool" cars. I'm not concerned.

Well that is absolutely true. And looking at the Project CARS 2 car list and categories it's safe to say that a DLC that comes with 8 cars will have a lot of really fun cars. Unlike Forza where there is a vast bulk of uninteresting cars (note: my opinion), it seems quantity is more important than quality.

More like variety instead of focusing on existing categories. I really hope SMS keeps expanding the ones already there with more exciting cars.

I really would like to see the classes with the least cars expanded. A Porsche 919 Hybrid in LMP1 would be great, same for some extra touring cars or vintage prototypes. We sure won't need more GT3 cars. ;) But I would also welcome new classes, with so many RX tracks in game already (and possibly more coming via DLC) I would really love to see group B RX like in Dirt 4.

Variety is right. As much as I love the Australian car content, that Fiat Dino stole my heart. It was a car I predicted in a mock DLC thread. Way off the radar.

As I mentioned, I'm happy with this list. The main categories I'm interested in, have the right cars. Its only going to get better.

If they decide to introduce new classes (which are welcome, of course), then hopefully they will add at least 2-3 cars for each one.

Couldn't care less about the car list videos on YouTube to be honest. And from properly looking at Peugeot, you have a pretty good point. In circuit racing they have the Group C but that properly debuted in 1991 when the engines were downsized to 3.5L so I doubt SMS would add that. The only 3 properly unique cars I could think of them adding is the Super Touring, TCR and the RX.

The 905 would fit groupe c even with downsized engine, maybe add a rival to be sure( Toyota TS 010). 908 2011 would fit in LMP1 and Pescarolo ran several LMP900 with Peugeot engines.

2016: Peugeot RCZ Cup
2017: 208 endurance cup
2017: Peugeot 308 Racing Cup

2018: TCR kit launches for the 308

Peugeot has made great tourers in the 80/90/00 with and without factory support. 405, 406, 406 silhouette, 407 silhouette, 505 Supertourisme. Diestercup, 905 spider cup, 207 spider cup. Add the numberous of VLN racers (RCZ, 208 and 308).

Since the 70 Peugeot runs in the Tc2000 and Super tc2000. Currently with 408 model.

In Brasil Peugeot runs in the V8 Stockcars.

Plenty of stuff to add for Pcars2 :D

I can show you a couple of books with 200 years of history. After reading that anyone would like plenty of Lion DLC

Do the Endurance GT3 cars have the same specs in game and therefore the exact same performance as the standard versions?

Could've done without 3 different Bentleys, amg sls, and the bmw z4 for gt3.. maybe an Emil fRey jag instead of one of those?

What Jake said. Also, I think they have to walk before running. If this were SHIFT 3, there wouldn't be a problem.

I want a Jag too, but I'll take the three Bentleys. It's similar seeing a sea of Audi's and AMGs on the grids in real life.

Look at it as what we DO have:

Nissan
Ferrari
Lamborghini
Porsche
New R8

Add those to the grids from PC1 and it becomes jam packed with a field of 45 cars. Imagine those poor games that can only fit 20-24 cars on their OFFLINE grids. ;)

Something tells me they have other differences like heavier brakes for longevity. Another thing could be that the manufacturers wouldn't allow a livery on the wrong variation of a car.

I am wondering. If AI will chose GT3 endurance variants for endurance races and normal for shorter? Or in group C lemans variants on lemans?
