And I've been very vocal about how off-putting that is in the Q&A thread when @The_American originally brought it up. I get that they want to have battles like Clarkson had in Majorca in that tiny roadster vs the Mustang, but I would think straight up power-to-weight ratios would get that sorted. Don't necessarily have to physically put in a lap to get that data.

Power to Weight ratio is not the end all and be all for that though. It's only a starting point, and would get some lopsided results as well.

As an extreme example, an average Top Fuel dragster has a power to weight ratio of 0.40 (900 HP, minimum weight of 2225 lbs). A stock BMW M6 coupe has a power to weight ratio of 0.13 (560HP, 4250 lbs). In a straight line the dragster wins no question, but which one will get around the Nurburgring faster?

Yes, this is an extreme example as a top fuel dragster is not built to corner, but that's my point. The car's basic handling characteristics must also be taken into the equation as well. Simply using Power to Weight ratio is not enough.

A perfect example of this is in pCARS1 where the 125CC Super Kart regularly beat GT3 cars on tracks like Imola (there was always someone taking advantage of the "ALL" classes public lobbies).

Well to that extent yea they're not using such extreme cars and everything they're grouping together is relatively race-worthy. It'll be fine. People that want to have online races with two or three car options will figure it out.

Road cars belong with road cars. GT cars belong with GT cars. Track day and track toy like cars belong with other track cars. That's the way I see it but unfortunately SMS dosent quite see it that way. Want to mix those up then that's where multiclass comes in. The end

The 125cc kart or the 250cc superkart?

Not sure about Veneno... It is very rare so it is harde to compare it. But Aventador SV in Asseto Corsa is a rival for Porsche 918, Laferrari and P1 :)

I hope we will get Road A Lamborghini some day :)
That would be a centenario more then likely...if we get one of course

My Apologies if this has already been brought up.

But just watched a video of the confirmed cars in Project Cars 2.

I'm trying to see which Project Cars 1 cars have not made the cut.

I've noticed that Ariel aren't back for this game, That's ashame I've always found the Atom a fun car to drive.

With Porsche now in the game Ruf are gone.

I've noticed that the MP4 is removed from McLaren and that the original Huyra and Zonda aren't around anymore.

Any others I may have missed?

Is there a reason they're cut? Are they arriving in updates or DLC? The ones I highlighted, especially the superkarts, are a loss.

It's either they feel out of place for the new game, licensing, or because they don't want both Porsche and RUF together.

Those I understand. You could attribute indycar and Forumla Gulf to licensing as well but the superkart? Non-V8 Ariels were so much fun to drive I don't mind paying for them in a pack. Such a shame. First thy announce there'll only be 1 layout of portimao and now this :grumpy:

We have 2016 Indy Car anyway so to lose the Dallara isn't a problem at all, its the same chassis atleast, just Honda and Chevy engines/aero(?)
