Probably only applies to Forza....:D
If that's true that sucks for Turn 10. I personally feel that a decent amount of good cars will be m.i.a. Without Toyota and Lexus. I respect Toyota's decision even though I don't like it, but I was hoping this would be something the company started for games released in 2018.

Not that I know of. The only road Toyotas are the GT86 and Rocket Bunny Spec and RB GT spec.

I hope not. I actually liked driving the Rocket Bunny in PC1.

Anyone from WMD know if the TRG 007 Vantage GT3 livery is in the game? It participates in Pirelli World Challenge which is a official series in PC2.

Having seen so many other official PWC liveries (Cadillac, Bently, Acura, Ferrari) I would be shocked if it wasn't in.

Might be late for me to keep my hopes up for some Vipers.. :,(
Repeat after me, "D...L...C...". We just have to wait and see. Again, we got a Panoz out of the clear blue. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini(Diablo versions at that) are in the game.
Do we see an SRT,
Chrysler or Dodge branded Viper, GTLM, GT1, ACR, if one is planned? Dunno.

I'd love to see the '98 Team Oreca Viper GTS-R and maybe the Listor Storm as well. They were cool cars.

And maybe other gts cars btw ;)

And may anyone explain me why the audi dtm v8 is such a great Ive never driven it in a game and yall really hyped about this car so  ?

@IanBell @The_American @The Owl Surely the Nissan R390 GT1 1998 could do more than 150mph.

Also
On the subject of cars having the incorrect power figures, in PCars1 the Toyota TS040-HYBRID was rated as 1000hp while the Audi R18 e-tron quattro is 540hp.

The ERS figure is not accounted for on the Audi which is unfair on it. The 2014 R18 e-tron quattro had ~850hp. Even though I am a Toyota guy I would like to see that changed.

I assume these are placeholders and there physics and stuff arent completed.

In regards to missing cars - apparently there are 4 DLCs coming with 8 cars each. So there is a high chance of classic GT2s and more cars to fill up classes like the 911 RSR GTE 2017.

Maybe the earlier McLaren F1s from BPR Series. Overall this Game has so many complete classes though that DLC really is mostly very special cars.

Lexus GT3
McLaren GT4
might be 2 i assume will come but the rest of each class is complete and up to date

Complete classes may be true with some of the modern categories, but certainly not with the classic and historic cars - that is where I would like to see SMS focus the DLC as some cars still just have no natural competitors in the game (i.e. just one or two cars per class) - e.g.

Aston Martin DBR1/300 = 1 (no Ferrari, Maserati or Jaguar competitors)
Lotus Type 40 = 1 (no McLaren M1A, M1B, Lola T70 MK2 or Chaparral 2C)
Ferrari Daytona (no Porsche 911RSR 3.0, De Tomaso Pantera GT4 or Corvette C3 L88)
Group 6 = 2: Porsche 936 and Alpine A442B (no Mirage GR7)
SCCA B Production Group 44 Jaguar E Type = 1 (no Corvette C3 L46 or Porsche 911)
Classic Rallycross Ford Escort Mark One = 1 (no Mini or Porsche 911)

I'm not criticising the car list - I think it is great, but with a DLC programme focussed on fleshing out the thinner classes it could go from Great to Epic!

Quick question : in a multiclass race at le mans or spa, would GT0 cars be significantly slower than lmp900 cars ? The f40 scares me in the hunaudieres.

Same question for the gt1 cars

I'm not sure about how the GTO cars compare, but in regards to GT1 vs LMP900 it will depend on which year the LMP900s are based on, but it looks like they game cars are based on the 2000 race.

  • 1998 was the last year for the GT1
  • 1999 was start of LMP class which became LMP900
  • 2000 was the first year for LMP900
  • Toyota GT-One (TS020) ran in both years/classes
  • 1998 Toyota had the highest speed trap at 345kph
  • 1999 Toyota had the highest speed trap at 352kph
  • 2000 Audi had the highest speed trap at 337kph
  • Mercedez took pole in 1998 with a 3:35.544
  • 1998 Toyota had fastest race lap 3:41.809
  • Toyoto took pole in 1999 with a 3:29.930
  • 1999 Toyota had fastest race lap 3:35.052
  • 2000 Audi took pole with a 3:36.124
  • 2000 Audi had fastest lap with a 3:37.359

With so many factors such as race incidents and weather affecting things like laps completed, fastest lap of race, average speed over race, etc. it will never be a perfect comparison. Overall though, the LMP900 and GT1 were so close in era that they should be fairly competitive with each other on track.

It's hard to compare the GTO cars because there isn't a lot of tracks to compare them on. Sebring is probably the best candidate for that.
