I'm not sure about how the GTO cars compare, but in regards to GT1 vs LMP900 it will depend on which year the LMP900s are based on, but it looks like they game cars are based on the 2000 race.

  • 1998 was the last year for the GT1
  • 1999 was start of LMP class which became LMP900
  • 2000 was the first year for LMP900
  • Toyota GT-One (TS020) ran in both years/classes
  • 1998 Toyota had the highest speed trap at 345kph
  • 1999 Toyota had the highest speed trap at 352kph
  • 2000 Audi had the highest speed trap at 337kph
  • Mercedez took pole in 1998 with a 3:35.544
  • 1998 Toyota had fastest race lap 3:41.809
  • Toyoto took pole in 1999 with a 3:29.930
  • 1999 Toyota had fastest race lap 3:35.052
  • 2000 Audi took pole with a 3:36.124
  • 2000 Audi had fastest lap with a 3:37.359

With so many factors such as race incidents and weather affecting things like laps completed, fastest lap of race, average speed over race, etc. it will never be a perfect comparison. Overall though, the LMP900 and GT1 were so close in era that they should be fairly competitive with each other on track.

It's hard to compare the GTO cars because there isn't a lot of tracks to compare them on. Sebring is probably the best candidate for that.

Okay thanks the race will be thrilling then. I expect the gt1 to be better in the straights.

I was looking for a slower class to race alongside the lmp900 as we don't have any gts and I don't expect sms to create the whole class in dlc, although that would make me really happy (I see you viper's fans you would be happy as well). Waiting for pc3 (we seem to have something that should help us waiting :lol:)

LMP900 make quite a bit more downforce than GT1. On the right track your class setup should work. GT1 was about 2200-2900lbs @ 200mph while LMP900 was 3500-5000lbs @ 200mph.

This is one 👍

But what's up with the ds and the 488 never heard about that ? Sounds new to me.
Much better image actually shows the 488 Challenge.

Citroën Ds3 RX !
But in the car list, it don't have TBA in RX part. Maybe a car from a next DLC ?

Edit: Why is one picture shown in full but the other turns into a link when I quote it?

I'm watching the Zandvoort GT4 race again and we're missing the MC and 570S. I figure 2 Mustangs are two too many, since we have the new shape. ;)
True, but the newest stang is a bit of an oddball, modelled off Vaughan Gitten's drift car I think. All big flares and added a large rear spoiler that doesn't really represent the proper car in GT4.
Would love to see the MC and 570S as well though. 👍

A friend of mine who god knows why has not been totally convinced by pcars1 would like to know if it's possible buying the Japanese and/or motorsport dlc after getting the game without preordering or anything.
I've already tried and tried to convince him to preorder that's a lost cause.

A quick look at those times makes me think the last-gen of LMP2 cars will be fairly evenly matched too, looks like we could get fairly competitive races with a big diversity of cars on the grid.

The motor sports pack is only available if you buy the season pass. I think the Japanese car pack will be available to purchase at a later date. It's all on Bandai Namco website under pCars 2 pre order.

Don't think so, but yea. I asked him if it I can pre-order the digital version because I'm lazy and like to just select games instead of changing discs. Space on my PS4 is not an issue because I don't play many games. It's really just this and Battlefield 1. I still have DOOM installed which I play occasionally to rarely and that alone is 80GB. I think I'm at 2/3rds full.

No special bonuses as far as I know.

I know we aren't getting it because it hasn't even been mentioned once but I really like the idea of being able to select cars allowed like Assetto Corsa does. AC makes you select the specific livery and that is one slot, but I'd rather it be just selecting the car and then people can pick any livery they want. So imagine an online lobby where you can select each slot and essentially make your own classes.

I would love to able to choose how many AI are in each class rather than an equal spread, also the livery that each AI car has as well, that way we can replicate IMSA as best we can, 2 of each car with the same official livery, Ford, Corvette, Ferrari for GTE etc

Same here, best we could do is keep restarting the session until all the liveries are how we want them :P
