Wanted to try it but can’t download it in Hong Kong’s PS Store. Is it not available to all players worldwide?

Man I tried. I played for an hour or so yesterday and the ffb was really good. Took a break, watched a couple movies and went back to it after the wife went to bed and the ffb was hosed, the wheel was so heavy I could barely turn it. Don't know what is up with this game and it's ffb but this does not hapen in Dirt 4. F1 2017 or GT Sport, only Pcars 2?

Also, the AI was wacky. I raced back to back in the Lambo race 1st race came in 3rd and the ai was fairly good. Second race, I beat the AI by 7 seconds, my skills did not increase that much in one race. What I think was happening was the AI was racing under fog the whole time while on my screen, the fog did not appear until almost thru the last lap. I think there are still some bugs to be worked out.

i also gave this a try. and i had the same reaction as you. i just wasn't immersed or felt connected to the racing. i couldn't feel the road under me. also hitting cars from the back scoops them up in the air like pancakes lol. now im not calling other games perfect either but coming off playing GT sports, this is the reaction i had to this game. i haven't deleted it yet though. ill still give it a chance to grow on me .

Yeah, after hearing about it I had to go to the main store page and scroll all the way down. Only way it showed up for me.

Tried the demo. It's a very good game imo, really good. The physics are good but I don't get that natural feeling from it them or a desire to just drive for the enjoyment of the physics, almost like a disconnect. But It is still a top game and I enjoyed it, it just makes GTS look even more lame and antiquated in my eyes.
There is one thing preventing me from buying this while I own the standard PS4 though, the graphics. They still look terrible, I'm not talking about eye candy but the technical aspect. My eyes were starting to strain after only 2 laps due to all the jaggies and shadows flickering in cockpit. This funny enough was eased by rainy conditions when behind AI because the spray obscured the scenery. The rain conditions were really enjoyable, hopefully the graphical issues will be solved so I can pick this up at a later date.

Playing some more of the demo albeit with a controller still. Switching up the different modes, enhance visual/frame rate etc...
Still trying to find a sweet spot for the controls for me as they still feel off with a controller. Maybe it’s just me being rubbish.
What I am seeing though is really good and gives me a lot of excitement and hype for the patch!

The graphics were great, the sound was awesome, and the FFB was excellent (G-27 with Drive Hub on PS4 PRO.)
The thing that put the icing on the cake for me to buy it, was when my wheel all of a sudden torqued to one side in the rain with the 458 at Red Bull Ring. Had a what the hell moment then realized I hit a big puddle
.To me it's wild that there's people that didnt like it.

Think I’ll be sticking to enhanced resolution mode on my 1080p TV. Jaggies are much reduced due to what I’m guessing is a slight super sample.
Lines on the Lambo look much better in this mode! Much less shimmering.
EDIT - Just been having a go with the wheel. Geez, I didn’t think I would notice much difference but it’s so much better than patch 2.0. Have the 488 in loose setup which I never felt controllable on 2.0 due to the oversteer. Really controllable now and can actually relax into racing whereas before I felt I was walking a tightrope with any car.
Really digging this enhance res mode.

Take the time to install the updates if whatever updates are needed before getting into more of the game though. May take some time as some are huge but be patient as it's worth it, and especially after the upcoming patch 3 too.

We think we all have the same hobby be we don't, we all have different reason to like or dislike a SIM or Game. Even if you and I agree on this game, it does not mean that next time I says a good thing or bad about an other game we will agree.
So many different perspective, goals and so many hardware set up. We might even change our mind as time goes and we discover new aspect of our hobby or buy a new peripheral.
It does not matter who agrees on what, all that matters is how we feel individually about a particular experience.
And I am assuming every one is well intentioned and has no hidden agenda, which is not the truth.
After posting so many times that I distrusted SMS for providing a worthy SIM experience, I had to set the record straight, if only for the few friends I have on the forums, it does not mean I am right about anything.

Let me say that I'm a huge PC1 fan, so...
Lambo: Lots of fun, great sound, really wish this was the full circuit. I ran this race about 5 times, and got P1 twice.
Formula Renault: Twitchy, insane sound, again, lots of fun. Makes me want to do some open-wheel in PC1.
488 GT3: PLEASE give me a DRY race in a front engine car. Really- I am routinely faster in FR cars over MR's, in every sim I've ever owned, and I just basically suck in the wet. In PC1, I consider finishing a victory if it rains. This event was the difference between "buy it now" and "wait for when I finish PC1."
I'm still really enjoying PC1. I'm sure "2" will end up on my system sooner or later- I liked that I was fast right away, with the potential for setup tuning to make me faster, as opposed to PC1 needing dramatic setup work just to get quick. FFB was better out of the gate, but I think I have it wired in "1".
Overall, thanks for the demo- I'll be a customer soon enough.

This was MY experience with the pCARS 2 Demo, PS4 with DS4.
First, being used to the surprisingly superb Motion Control in GTS, switching back to the stick is a nightmare. Constantly weaving back and forth like there are cones on the track make this game unplayable. There should be no need for massive adjustments @IanBell, it should just be natural out of the box. Sure, have an overall “Sensitivity” adjustment to help tame a Twitchmobile or boost it up if the car is a Sloth RS. I weaved through the invisible cones as I played the Lambo race, and said OUT LOUD, “I’m glad I didn’t buy it [for $24 on Amazon]”. If this demo was on a PS4 in a WalMart, Target, Best Buy or a GameStop, I would have just walked away shaking my head disappointment after that experience.
I haven’t played it in well over a year, I don’t recall pCARS being this bad. And you could have made the font more legible for those of us who don’t sit 2 feet from a 55” monitor or have fighter pilot vision? I was hoping you’d fix this from pCARS, nope.
Seriously, no HDR??????? Damn this was hard on the eyes. The opening “praise” video was washed out badly, I almost reached for my remote to start making adjustments!!!
I absolutely LOVED the sound! Having the Lambo engine coming from my rear surround speakers (7.1.2 Denon AVR-X7200wa) was very immersive!
I really REALLY was hoping this was going to be a night and day difference from pCARS. Perhaps for you it was. For me to buy it at some point, some major changes need to happen or even more simplified options need to be added.

I dunno, I’ve tried motion controls today on GTS and I went back to stick. It just feels really weird. Surprised so many people liked it. I’m definitely not faster with it.
I think pCARS will never be as easy to drive as GTS. That’s kind of the point though. GTS feels like there are some hidden assists there that make it easy even with assists off. It’s not bad, but much more limited as a simulator.
One thing I’ll give you though, there is something wrong with HDR implementation. Wonder if it will change in the patch, since the demo is more like patch 2.5 not 3.0

actually every current racing game has serious flaws. FM7, GTS and PCars2.
FM7 and PCars 2 have the issues more on the technical side as both are currently relatively buggy. FM7 on PC is almost unplayable and PCars 2, at least what i saw from the demo, is a flickering fest and the sound mixing needs some work too. GTS on the other hand is extremely polished, but lacks cars, tracks and some more stuff to do for singleplayer player.
