Isn't there already an F50 in the game? ...or do you want the stock road version? :odd:

It is the Road version. I know many will criticize me for me not liking road cars since I also want the F50. But Project Cars series has road cars they will not be going anywhere hence why roadcars are more than welcome to be in the game.

The thing about road cars is, especially cars close to daily drivers...

They are the only cars that probably 90%+ of us have driven IRL. I mean, it's all well and good to sit in a vintage Lotus F1 car, or an LMP hybrid prototype, but let's be real... Most of us haven't got the first clue about whether it handles like the real thing.

But I'm pretty sure most of us have had the fantasy of taking a car we own, or a friend owns, out to a track and racing it..! And we would at least know whether it handled close to the real thing. But street car racing needs choice, and plenty of it, lest lack of BoP turns it into an exercise in one make racing as the boss car has to be picked or it isn't a race, it's a track day.

So, I still think more low power daily drivers have the dual benefit of allowing us the fantasy of racing our own cars, AND giving a nice low power introduction to the game from those coming from more arcade handling games.

I disagree - if I want to take my car on track for real I can do it at any number of track days for a reasonable cost. If I want to experience a McLaren/Lambo/Ferrari/whatever on track I can also do that, again for relatively sensible money. The likelihood of getting to drive a proper race car, let alone the variety of them we have in game, in real life is so remote it's not even funny.

Race cars all the way for me, the more the better!

I disagree - If I'm a poor scrub whose family can only afford owning a Clio they bought 17 years ago, I'd rather take the various road cars in the game to the track than risk crashing the car which has practically become part of the family.

Sim racing/driving is vastly more affordable than the "reasonable cost" of attending a track for real, much less all of these tracks from around the globe. And a real world drive in a vintage roadcar could be nearly as hard to come by as in a racecar. I fully support the concept of racing sims serving as a "carcyclopedia" of all kinds of models because sooner or later cars will be lost to history.

My 2 cents...for a game like PC a few more road cars would not hurt but I think the balance for road and race cars should remain the same meaning more race than road cars. I can think of several dozen more race cars that can be added to this game compared to maybe a couple of dozen more road cars.

I'm all about the sports car racing honestly. I want to recreate races i see in tv. Not pretend like I'm road testing a super car I'll never be able to afford. Every once in a while I'll take a road car on track just to try it, but that's about it.

Umm what?

Cause a race car is affordable

Kinda funny cause your also pretending to be driving race cars that you cant afford in real life

I guess if you are content that your kids don't get healthcare and money for college, renting a supercar so you can compare its handling to the in game version a few weekends a year might seem like a good idea!

Most of the game's players can't even afford a TOTL wheel (or a wheel at all!), let alone a bleeding edge PC and a VR or triple screen rig. But we've got the money to bash a McLaren 650S around an iconic track a few weekends a year?

Low power roadcars build the player base. The kids got to start in something they can handle, something they can relate to, something they can make mistakes in that don't immediately spin them around. Forza and GT would not have become the main games if they refused to give starter cars to starter players.

Is there any chance of people here looking beyond what they want, and more looking to what would make the franchise grow..? In the end, it doesn't really matter one bit how many LMP1 cars or hypercars the game has. It matters how many players the game has...

Any idea what’s in the Le Mans pack? Historic Le Mans perhaps? And the cars?

I’m trying to decide on whether or not to get a season’s pass. I suppose I could just wait and see what the Le Mans pack is, but if I’m going to do it, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the Porsche pack sooner rather than later.

Classic Le Mans: Probably 1971 as we have heard lap times whoch suggest the layout is before the Porsche Curves were added and 1971 is the only year before the Porsche Curves that had a seperate pitlane

Cars

Audi
Audi R18 e-tron quattro (2016) (LMP1)

Ferrari- 3 of the following:
Ferrari 512 BB LM (Group 5)
Ferrari 250 Testarossa (Vintage GT Touring C)
Ferrari 250 GT Competzione(Vintge GT Touring C)
Ferrari 512M (Vintage Prototype A)
Ferrari 512S Coda Lunga (Vintage Prototype A)

Porsche
Porsche 961(GTO or Group 5)
Porsche 917 Langheck (Vintage Prototype A)
Porsche 919 Hybrid (LMP1)
Porsche 924 GTP

Toyota
Toyota TS050 Hybrid (LMP1)

Well that's what info I have, we will have 3 of the Ferraris, my guess is the 512M, 512S and 250 Testarossa, and judging by what I have seen we'll almost certainly be getting at least one of the 512 Prototypes

And my sources are here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...=1#post1354515

Cant wait to be able to do this comparison :D:)

Quick questions

The ferrari DLC is gonna be the last one released right?
Are we 100% sure that the FFX-K is in the ferrari DLC pack?

It is pretty certain. Since we had on forum this photo:
pcars2-DLC-248x140.jpg

But everything can change. It can be added as free dlc (like Ferrari 488 Challenge) or it can be scraped because of different reasons.

I like road cars, but i still hope we will see more interesting race cars.

About other DLCs than all Season Pass. I think we will se one more as a "Game Of The Year" update. Like in Project Cars 1 we've got 2 Paganis and Nurburgring Combined. I think there can be small bonus pack for GOTY release (something like motorsport pack?). This is only my speculation, but what do you think?

EDIT: And off course maybe 488 Challenge wasn't the only free car ? ;)

Personally i can agree. I also prefer racing cars they are much more fun to drive, and actually easier. May "arcade" racers from Forza or GT are falling to a trap trying to drive road cars which are harder to push than race cars.

On the other hand I understand that some people prefer road cars.

Changing topic:

I wonder if we will ever get Porsche 911 GT3 Cup from Mobil 1 Porsche Super Cup. It fits well for a free update. And it will complete one make series in PC2.

I suppose you could qualify me as one of those arcade racers who transitioned from GTS to PCars2 and AC. And yes I prefer road cars precisely because they are harder to push. I choose the OEM set up and a middle grade type of tyre and I enjoy very much the constant corrections I have to do in corners or every time I press too much on the gas pedals.
I don't care too much about going fast yet.
I am relatively new to the SIM world so it's very much about learning for me but I think it's fair to say that there are two teams: Road cars vs Race cars. And if the developer is smart, they ll try to keep everybody happy.

Yes definitely this is what developer should try to do. Keeping happy both groups of players :)

Is this supposed to arrive next month?

I've always wondered why the '05-'06 Ford GT wasn't in the game from the start... Hopefully the Le Mans pack might bring in at least the original GT40?

I found a good vid about the '05-'06 GT (go to 6:34 to skip the talking if you want):

These are the cars that in my own opinion would make most sense to come in the Le Mans pack, I wish most of them could make it.

Ford GT40 (I don't know which version of the´60s to pick)
Toyota 88 C-V (1988)
Mazda 787B (1991)
Nissan R92 C (1992)
Toyota TS010 (1992 maybe)
Peugeot 905 Evo 1B (1993)
Pescarolo Courage C60 HY (2004)
Peugeot 908 HDI (2011, the one with the shark fin)
Porsche 919 (2014)

If I understand correctly, they removed the Audi R18 TDI and the Aston Martin DBR12 because they wouldn't exactly fit due to lack of similar opponents... well the game as it stands now already has some cars that are alone in their own class... anyway with these or similar additions I hope they bring them back.

As a Le Mans type cars centered guy I feel the game will always be incomplete without these icons. They already did an amazing job with the GT1s and Group Cs that are already in the game, we just need the final pieces. I guess the addition of the GT2 class would also be really nice, but I don't mind only seeing them in PCars3.

Know one thing i always wonder? Why hasn't there been a track only DLC pack? I mean i would be more then happy to pay $9.99 for a track pack of at least 5 new tracks each.
