It just "seems" that way. Ian mentioned DLC will be packaged about every 3 months. We may get more content than PC1, in a comparable 3 month period.

Anyway, I need to see more pics of the Japanese Pack. :D
I trust what is written on the season pass. Season pass = 4 pack and each pack contains 8 cars and 1 circuit.
Maybe I did not understand what is written ..
Thank you all

And I was giving you my own example of Project CARS.
pCars 1 was never available for preorder on US PlayStation store is what he's trying to say.
I just hope this time when I pre-order a game and it's finally time to play it, it actually becomes available for me first. I remember when I pre-order MLB the show 17 and when it was about to release it ended up on my little brother PlayStation instead. Me and him do the whole game sharing thing so idk if was because of that or it was an MLB the show issue. Anyway I hope that don't be the case with pcars2. I eventually downloaded the game but I forgot how I got it.
If you're gamesharing with two separate consoles then whoever's account your signed into when you preorder will get the game on their account. To get it on the other PlayStation you have to sign in on the purchasers account on your PlayStation and download it. It will then appear on your account.

Yea my little brother has no interest in baseball so that was odd that it ended up on his PlayStation. I didn't that was gonna happen. But now I understand I think. So set my PlayStation back to the primary account right?

If you want to share stuff your account has to be the primary on his PS4 and his account has to be primary on yours. Otherwise the content you purchase will be locked.

I don't wanna share project cars 2 with him though. We got it set to that right now but I'm not trying to share pcars2 though. So if I was to pre-order pcars2 on my PlayStation, it wouldn't download on his game right? It'll download on mines instead? Because it'll be messed up if it's about to be ready to play and it ends up on his PlayStation and I don't have access to it until I go to the library. That was the case with MLB the show 17. My bad for continuing to ask questions but I'm just trying to make sure I understand this.

Right if you download it on your PlayStation on your account it will be on your account only. If not something is very wrong.

Hi Guys,

Need help deciding between the Xbox One and PC version. I do not plan to upgrade my PC or buy a Xbox one X as I do not have enough time to game these days.

These are my specs

Amd Phenom II 1100T
Amd R9 270
8GB Ram

Not great specs but Pcars runs at about 45fps on a full starting Grid and 30fps in the wet. This is on medium setting and it totally playable (60+ fps) once the field spreads out.

The main factor for me would be the number of players online, I wouldn't mind playing Pcars 2 on PC with similar settings/performance if it means finding a game online will be easier compared to XBL.

Help

Same concerns but I'm getting it for Xbox.

just google "system requirements for project cars 2" or search a couple pages back you should see it posted.

Either way it may be a typo but you may need an i7 as a bare minimum. Again this may be a typo or a place holder... GL

Probably placeholder. Many of us in WMD world haven't updated our PC's since the first game (although I'm tempted to blow that latest payment on a new Core X HEDT) and have not had any issues playing (and that's before code optimisations). I have no issues playing on an i5 3750K @4.1Ghz which I've used since May 2012. I do have a 9-series Titan X however (similar to a 1070 apparently). I've also upgraded from 1920x1080 to 3440x1440 so am also pushing more pixels.

No playability issues in my limited testing, but now having changed screen resolution my biggest struggle is finding a game capture solution. CPU is too weak for software encoding, elgato only handles 1080 via HDMI, and ShadowPlay is locked away behind nVidia user registration.

Well, now I actually want to pre-order it because of the Japanese Car Pack DLC... But I might not pre-order it until late August or something...

I don't like preordering but I really want the Skyline. I have 3 months to make up my mind whether I risk a preorder and possible disappointment with PCars2 or to take the cautious approach and forgo the Skyline with the knowledge that there are still loads of other good cars if I buy after release day and that Skyline may be available to buy someday in the future anyway. Hmmmmm.

Here's your big overview of what you will find in your digital pre-orders.

That's just got me thinking... If I buy the full game on a disc and then purchase the season pass in the PlayStation Store, will I get access to this day 1 DLC? Or can I only receive the pack as part of a pre-order? I'm confused because I don't want to pay for the 2 introductory DLC's AND the season pass.

If you buy the full game on disc, you will receive Japanese Car Pack (preorder Pack)

If you decide to purchase Season Pass in the PlayStation Store, you will receive 4 DLCs (including Motorsport Pack Car, which is exclusive with the Season Pass).

The only way to get Motorsport Pack Car is purchasing the Season Pass, you couldn't purchase it separately.

I don't want to pre-order though. I want to know whether I will have access to both the Motorsport and Japanese Car pack if I purchase the season pass and don't pre-order.

Sure that past one or two months after realese the Japanese pack and Motorsport pack will be available on the digital store's.

It happens with every single game...

Bla bla bla... Preorder exclusive... Bla bla ba and after a time it's available for everyone.

So i Would call them more "temporal exclusivity" :sly:

I see the Steam page has updated. A 6700k and GTX 1080 for recommended? There goes my Ultra gaming then...

EDIT: Hope that's for 4K or 8K or something like that.

I 'think' this was a typo that became news based around the AMD 6700 GPU... I'll clarify that though.

i7 minimum is a typo yes. We're fixing it now. It was a confusion around a 7 series AMD GPU communication we had...

Considering that you could buy every DLC for pCARS 1 after release, I wouldn't be surprised to see this either. And to be clear, it would be the right move.

Copy and edit of most my signature at the WMD Project CARS 2 forum. I will give some feedback on PC 1, but run 1080p. Edit: WIP status, I dropped the OC from a RX 480 comparable clock and with it back to base 1000/1300. You can be good at higher videos settings.:)

And the game is now pre-ordered.:)Now I wait........for another 2 months until I can play:(

Also why does it say playable date: 12/28/2017? Do they not know that it comes out on September 22nd? I'm guessing that's just an error hopefully.

Pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition on PSN...

Now for the long wait. I see they say it is available on the 21st of September? A typo perhaps or do they mean to preload the game...usually preload goes up about 2 days before release.

Going to try to save some money so that I can buy a VR set for Pcars2.

PSVR?

Wouldn't hold your breath, it's not been officially announced.....

I still keep thinking of the new high-end CPUs that AMD and Intel are releasing soon, at a time Project CARS 2 is releasing soon as well...

It's HIGHLY unlikely that games or sims will fully utilize 16 cores (or 32 threads) any time soon (I would bet 5+ years), since their main hardware target will always be the lowest common denominator, or in other words current-gen consoles. If you buy a CPU with 6 or 8 cores that will still be overkill today, but in 3-4 years that may change at least, unlike with 16 cores. I have a Ryzen 1700 and there's no game today that utilizes it fully. You are better off spending the money you would put towards those new high-end CPU beasts on a high-end GPU instead, if you are concerned mainly with gaming performance.

For comparison's sake, I have an i7 4790k OC'd to 4.5 GHz and my CPU usage never gets above even 30% in Project CARS 1. I know pC2 will be more CPU intensive, but not exponentially so. So, I think you're spot on in recommending a GPU over a CPU at this point.
