Is that what Metallica meant with "Ride the lightning"?
This is a shot I could really print, frame and add as decoration to my race room.

EDIT: Hopefully this pic is not copyrighted, otherwise I owe you @TheAdmiester one ice cold one . While we are counting down for another 29 days I can memorize each day while racing. Thx!!

PS the PS4 race games are in completely random order although the Crew is my sons and I never play.

That's amazing. Glad you like it so much!

The career mode of Pcars 1 I already thought was incredible, but Pcars 2 is leaving me drooling, counting the days.
A question I can not decide, what will be my career path, have you ever thought which way to go?
I thought I'd try to do it all, starting with Open Whell on Tier 6, but I really can not decide.

@jake2013guy even created a poll and corresponding topic for this difficult 'which career path' shall I choose question --> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/project-cars-2-career-discussion.358260/

Laguna Seca is another track that can look lush and green in late winter or spring. If SMS aren't considering things like this with seasonal changes then it kind of dilutes the effect. I hope it's not just the leaves on the trees that get reworked.

Can any WMD2ers post some images of Sonama or Laguna Seca in the Spring? This is what LS can look like:
Just tested Summer, Winter, and Spring. Unfortunately it's identical between them.

In the setup videos there is a separate tire pressure number and a tire diagram with what looks like an outside middle inside temperature readout. Are these for hot pressures and temperatures after a run?

You need the Inside, Middle and Outside temperatures for proper camber adjustments mainly. After a run of several laps, use those temps to adjust camber so that you get the 3 numbers as close to each other as possible.

Of course, this will be affected by pressures as well, but the main purpose for measuring those temps is to help you dial in the right amount of camber.

Weird to see it (and F1 2017) in the Simulation category nominations alongside the other titles (Life is Strange?!):

Best Racing Game
Forza Motorsport 7 (Microsoft)
Need for Speed Payback (Electronic Arts)
Project CARS 2 (Bandai Namco)

Best Simulation Game
Ace Combat 7 (Bandai Namco)
F1 2017 (Koch Media)
Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch (Astragon)
Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (Square Enix)
Project CARS 2 (Bandai Namco)

Interestingly, FM7 won best racing game — but what's even stranger is a certain other game being absent from both lists.

Not intended as a "Forza bashing" comment, but I just don't get that..... In the interview with Andy Tudor by Rocket Beans TV, the host even commented that all Turn 10 did was focus on how the cars looked. Never actually showed them on the track. Just in the show room.

The comment is about halfway through while speaking with Andy Tudor directly. Much of the interview is in German though, so be warned about that.

I would certainly HOPE so. No other reason to have them there.

One of the big issues I always had with pCARS1 was that
  1. The I/M/O numbers never really worked
  2. The I/M/O numbers were only available on screen in the telemetry while you were driving. Made it hard to read them accurately, or if you did, you ran inconsistent laps.

Having that info available in the garage is the most realistic way to make it available as most cars can't give you that info on track anyways. It's measured back in the pits with some form of contact probe or IR thermometer

Maybe they did for Rocket Beans. It looks like that wasn't the case for the Mixer stream:

Or IGN (although this seems like pre-recorded clips, not Bill racing):

I can't say I really blame them: it's hard to do an interview and race well simultaneously. Look at Andy out on the track — I don't mean that in a bad way, either. I had to do a stream pretty recently while also playing host duty, and it was incredibly hard to try to interact with people while focusing on racing! And that probably becomes doubly true when dealing with something as intense as the Formula X.

As for FM7 winning best racing game: remember, this is the general gaming media. PCARS2 undoubtedly offers the more authentic experience for someone who wants to relive real-world motorsports digitally. FM7 seems more in tune with the broader, more general car culture, and all the niches involved with that.

GT Sport wasn't even nominated on the two??? :boggled:

Ridicolus. In the IGN interview the T10 guy says , they'll have a surface type assist, and if you put that on the slippery of gravel or wet grass is away.
All i can do is shake my head.
They introduce real cool features that makes the game more realistic, and then they add assist to push it back to a kids driving game.
All you have to do, is push the trigger and steer carefully.
For me, thats the HDR version of Pong. One of the first computer games ever .

Hi guys, I have a question regarding PS4 vs PS4 pro. Will PCars2 run fine in PS4 or do I have to buy a PS4 Pro?
The regular PS4 has a huge install base, which means that developers will always use that as the foundation for the game and it will run just fine, but graphical and other enhancements for the pro. At least that's the way that I figure it.
It would be utter madness for a developer to produce a game that only runs well on the pro, thereby alienating the bulk of PS4 users.
Also, it was one of the stipulations by Sony that all games must run well (not a quote) on the base PS4 first and foremost.

So is it true that you can download a ghost car setup in time trials? If so then that's gonna be interesting. I always wanted to see what time I can set with a setup that the top guys in the leaderboards have.

Yes. As of now I 'think' the player can block their setup but that may have changed...
