So, I just got done rewatching the IndyCar Texas race from this year and it made me wonder what the damage model is like on the ovals with such high speed, just wondering if any WMD guys can give any details about this/make a video demonstrating it.

Since the WMD restrictions on photo sharing are now up, I thought I'd post some shots of the game. I like to use the photomode filters to affect the colours, but they're not edited outside of the game.

EDIT: Also, if anyone has any requests (car, track, time, weather), let me know.

This might sound like a real odd request but, to those on WMD, could you say which classes have a car or cars that don't have headlights for night driving, besides open-wheelers and stock cars obviously.

The only one I can think of from the top of my head is probably the IMSA Audi 90.

And the nissan imsa gtx and the mustang transam as well
The fairlady 73' and the honda concept maybe

Some vintage GTs may have this issue too. As do RX cars. I want to know so that I don't make races with cars that can't handle the dark. It would be nice to know if those vintage GTs like the Nissan and the Camaro Trans-Am have uncovered lights in case it gets dark.

Apologies for asking what I assume has been asked before but, after having watched the new video of the Audi V8 DTM at Dubai, will the sound during a replay be updated to account for the proximity of the car to the camera?

In that video the long shot of the car heading towards the camera has the same volume level for when the car is 300m or 30m away. Watching that feels wrong. Presumably that will be fixed for launch as otherwise it is a very poor oversight for a title which appears to have ticked pretty much every box.

Then again, if that's the worst thing we have to complain about then I would still say every box ticked and then some.

True but Doppler effect is the very basic principle of how car sounds work, and has been used since ever in racing games! It will be a HUGE omission (super weird) if they don't include it in such sophisticated game in 2017! I think they'll add it!

As it was discussed, there is a doppler shift in sound (clearly audible in replays), just like there was in PC1. The one thing that is slightly strange about the replay audio is that engine sounds don't drop off as much with distance as one would expect.

I guess I'll ask again. Whoever is a WMD member or just know in general please answer. Will console players have the ablity to name their lobbies online? I'm not trying to be annoying but please can someone answer this lol.

Does anybody know when the pre-order DLC will be added to the PSN store for those of us in the UK who buy from somewhere other than GAME or the Deluxe Edition?

Tried looking at which to buy a couple of weeks ago and got really confused between all the editions, ideally I would've got the Deluxe Edition but it's digital only .
