Nice PS4 Pro fps performance (constant 60fps).
Adaptive resolution (1360p~1440p) for the PS4 Pro.

PS4 can drop to 45, 50fps in awful conditions - no surprise here, I guess. And not bad either, considering physics and control inputs remain unchanged.
Adaptive resolution (864p~1080p) for the regular PS4 as well is a surprise.

A bit of screen tearing on both versions, due to (also) variable v-sync.
In my view its the right move, adaptive res to try and hold the frame rate as high as they can is what I had hoped that PD would have done with (GT5 and 6), they did it with Wipeout on the PS3 and it was the right way to go.

Glad the PS4 Pro performance is pretty much 60fps all the way, that makes me a happy bunny.

Did I hear him right, while viewing Replay video mode, you only get 30 fps? Can a patch fix that problem in the near future? I really enjoy watching Replay videos after all the races. I was really hoping Replay videos can hit 60 fps. What a bummer. :-(

Replays are locked to 30fps in order to raise the replay length. (And probably a bit for quality too)

On a side note, whoever was playing that seriously needs to learn how to brake and not use other cars to slow them down :boggled:
I'm accustomed to gaming journalists being the worst drivers ever to touch a racing game, but what the hell was up with the throttle and brake inputs, it's like they were using the face buttons. It was so distracting.

Will that look better if I was using a 70" 4K tv with HDR?

How many things look worse on a 70" 4K tv with HDR! :)

Just having fun, EM. BTW, I believe Ironik is spot on with his comment.

Getting back to your question, honestly, it may be iffy. I've noticed some reviews out there, with respect to some other games that some of the 1080P has been looking better than the HDR, but that is in certain circumstances.

However, come to think of it, if they are locking in at 30 FPS, I highly doubt there is anything that is really being pushed that would cause any sort of problems for 4k HDR.

...I'll go out on a limb and say it should look great.

So, without looking through all the videos on here, IGN's review is up. It's probably already been posted/discussed but it's there for anyone who hasn't seen it. It was excellent and made me look forward to Friday even more!

So where are all the reviews?

Games like Uncharted have almost 100 reviews on Metacritic, and Pcars2 has only 17. I know it´s not mainstream, but i expected 30-40 reviews by now.

Kinda surprised by this review, guy has been a major skeptic of PC2 but said overall a proper sequel and much improved over first one. But I also agree on a lot of his issues including the lack of full course yellows and attention to detail in certain racing disciplines. However he also says it's a proper sim for endurance racing which is what I'm mainly into

You guys have to try harder.
Our review count at WMD 2 is 45 already.

I know there are a lot of reviews, but i was expecting things on Metacritic, because like or not it´s still a big deal to a lot of people. The comparison i made was only using the number of reviews on the aggregate site.

That graphic will change as I update it with new review scores. I haven't gone through this thread yet, that's just the reviews that have been spotted in WMD2 and the public Project CARS forum :)

EDIT : Added 2 more reviews from the OP of this thread to the table I am collating (with help on Monday from Bealdor). For reference, the average review score right now is a smidgen under 85%. Take out the 3

Who gave it a 50-59 and 65-69?

Didn't know there's an Uncharted game coming out this week. s/

I just spotted a mistake as it happens and have already corrected it. There was an entry in 65-69, that was a 70, so that is moved across one bar. The 50 was for a PS4 review from a site that gave the PC version 70. There were revised scores given to some reviews for pCARS1 so those will be reflected in the graph should a site go back and rescore it later.
