Is the DLC worth it? I don't mind paying for it.
I'd say wait for the PS store to have a reduction on the season pass. At the moment with the current sale it's dearer than the game itself which makes it seem a little expensive.

That's if you have it on PlayStation - Although the advice transfers to the other platforms.

I'll probably get this when it's on a decent sale but here in Australia with 30% off it's still 70 AUD and the season pass is 53 AUD. I like my race games but not that much. :boggled:

Ah I probably should have said in Europe, where the game is currently 60% off - £19.99 in the UK. The season pass is full price at £28.99

Edit. I just noticed with PS plus you also get 60% off in Australia?

I keep thinking that pCARS 3 has no right being this good, hah, I had completely written it off and it's a really nice surprise. So many little things I like better than 2 right off the bat even though it's not as hardcore.
I wasn't so wrong when I had tried to reassure people that it looked like a sim to me. It is a simulator, just not a hardcore one, like you say. Still more hardcore than a GT or Forza game, in my opinion -- excluding GT Sport's efforts in multiplayer racing, I suppose.

Truly arcade-style games just don't drive like the handling in this, in my book. It's too sophisticated and dynamic. Arcade-style games are much simpler, and the best ones are sharper and ultimately more predictable -- like Mario Kart 8 (DX) or Out Run 2(006), for example. Project CARS 3 is an entirely different kind of experience from those.

Man, 200cc drifting in MK8 feels so good -- and that big band soundtrack -- I kinda feel like firing up the Wii U right now just mentioning it. :)

Lets hope you like it now. :scared:

Approach it with an open mind while knowing, as @Wolfe says above, it's not a full blown motorsports simulation and you should enjoy it. Most of those who try it seem to do - to their surprise. :)
It's pretty easy to get $40 of fun out of a game and I love all sorts of racing games, not just the most serious sims. I have games from ACC to Driveclub and everything in between so I think I'll be right 👍. Wreckfest is one of my current go to racers atm because of it's pick up and play nature.:)

PC1-3 will eventually be at the top spots of my Steam playtime list. PC3 will be at the top of playtime.
While I’m enjoying this game for what I use it for (it’s my casual multiplayer racer at the moment) I don’t see myself putting in the 400 hours I do on a Forza Horizon or 1,000+ hours I put into a Forza Motorsport in the past.

It doesn’t need to be the game I’m married to in my spare time (that’s DiRT Rally 2.0 :P) and while it’s rough around the edges I enjoy it for what it is :)

While reading through this thread, I suddenly remembered that I had a $30 Best Buy gift card leftover from Christmas, so I took the plunge and ordered the game today. It was on sale for $28.99, so why not? It's free.

It should arrive on about a week.

The price reductions seemed to have caused sales of PC3 to go through a 2nd or 3rd wave. It's a bit like a certain virus but considerably more fun to have. Wearing a mask while playing is optional. (As is a crash helmet)

The multi player side of PC3 should improve with more people to race against. Rivals mode* has always been popular, although more players means more times to try and beat! :ill: :)
Shame all multi player options are not cross platform, but that's probably down to Sony and Microsoft.

* With Rivals I can even "race" against @FPV MIC in Australia.

This game is so frickin’ good!

It’s what I wished Grid was. Or Driveclub. Or in many ways, pCARS2.
What a gem. After being a backer on the first and disappointed with the handling twice, I’m really happy I picked this up. It’s reminiscent of the joy I got from the first Shift.

wish I could fix the evening setting glitch on custom races though. Any tricks to that?

So...I’m about to get my first EVER platinum trophy in pCARS 3, and I didn’t have to go out of my way and do some stupid crap to get it. Just played the game as I normally would. I wish all games were like this.

Congrats. Some of the easiest games to get platinum were the Telltale games. You literally only had to finish the game to get it. The platinum that I thought was the most fun to get, and the one that I'm most proud of getting was for MGSV:TPP. It was the same for me on that one, I just did everything I would have done anyway. Getting platinum for some of the Lego games were fun too.

This happened suddenly . Failed to save ghost data.

Anyone had this? I looked in the options , but could not find such a setting. The HD on my ps4 pro had plenty space.

Does not affect gameplay directly.

I love the career mode.

I was struggling with the 720s to get a hotlap in group A. Then I switched cars to the Aventador with 4wd tuned up to group A levels. The 4wd made a big difference in stability around the track. Really cool to see how this is implemented.

Also, I think PC3 has the best rumble effects (buttkicker gamer 2) in business.

The Ghost data has a limit amount of saving space in the game itself. So while your HD isn't affected, it will affect the game itself.
They can be deleted from the games memory in the settings menu on the Ps4...

It's a Sony imposed limit you've reached. To save anyone having to do it manually and potentially deleting files you should keep, really the game should clear them out for you automatically.

I presume they are kept just in case you save the replay and they can be accessed. If you don't have a replay saved they are completely redundant.

Anyway if you haven't cleared them yet HERE'S how to do it. Be careful not to delete your career and profile settings.

how do you already have the cars. I have the new track, just not the cars.

Nice move from SMS to include that mystery car.

edit: update fixes the group C MB car. Nice :D

It was a photo from the discord, my game is still updating ;)

Pd is best buddies with Toyota

Not sure if it still applies today but they used to be tight with Nissan; they lent a helping hand designing the infotainment system for the GT-R.

Fast test = no improved gamepad controls.

I am still surprised that you are the only one having serious issues with the control pad. It's still amazingly impressive that you can play hardcore sims, but not this dumpster fire Arcade game called by someone.

But, Scaff is the only one having issues with a steering wheel and imaginable input smoothing assists.
