A sort of GT-/Forza-like experience, but with much more realistic handling physics than GT-/Forza-style physics (if it is like PCARS2, it is not a close comparison) and PCARS content and features. Dynamic+seasonal weather on every one of an exceptional spread of tracks, for one example.
Part of the "fun" here is that its handling model should be far superior to GT/Forza. Handling is the whole reason I play sims; the main reason I even bought a Playstation. Pitstops are just a gameplay mechanic and classes are just arrangements of cars. I don't prefer what SMS has done with those things, but being able to buy, paint, customize, and upgrade cars in a sim with Project-CARS-caliber physics is paramount.
Handling is the backbone of the whole gameplay experience from "Start Race" to "Return to Menu".
If I didn't care about career can I take any car on any track in a mode at all? Or do I have to grind for a month to buy the race cars?
Not 100% sure but in custom race mode you can drive any car in its stock form on any track. If I didn't care about career can I take any car on any track in a mode at all? Or do I have to grind for a month to buy the race cars?

No grinding required. Any car any track.

But to buy and upgrade cars you need to own them and you can only buy cars by doing career mode. Of course once you own a car you can upgrade it and use it in any of the modes it be career/online/custom.
I think that's how it works.
The menu header in the video is "Showroom". It's not the car selection screen for single races or online races. You might can test drive any car on any track but to put it in a race you have to grind to own it first, is that correct? Because in that video tons of cars were behind a lock that said "driver level X required" or something like that.
You're saying that you HAVE to do career mode in order to own cars? That can't be right.
Ian Bell just earesed his Twitter account this afternoon...
Don't see hem here around anymore with his marketing talks.
Strange behaviour from someone that said it a "pure simulator" under the hood...
He's no longer SMS so i imagine he deleted it because it was SMS related...
New gameplay video please tell me you can turn off the camera shaking really hate that effect.
On his account his description said "CEO of slightly Mad studios" and "executive director of Codemasters"He's no longer SMS so i imagine he deleted it because it was SMS related...

So i presume he's still the big boss of slightly Mad studios, that now forms part of the Codemaster division
His son Nathan is SMS related and didn't earese his Twitter account
Lowest common denominator of online racing. I haven't seen any video yet showing how penalties work. And why is there a wall in the middle of the chicane?

Surely this isn't the first time you've seen a racing game with such a wall?
Yeah. I've always hated it when games put walls in places on the circuit. Just looks horrible. The ones I hate most are the ones on the slip lanes of ovals. And why is there a wall in the middle of the chicane?
That's probably because it's his personal account...
The last game had a whole host of camera adjustment options so I would imagine there are many adjustments available for camera views in PC3 too.
As for the footage above, the gameplay looks fine and the backfire sounds in the tunnel are glorious. My only problem is the lack of "full send".
More new gameplay wonder if this guy has the full game already cause he's uploading way more then what was allow in the preview copies.
Generally positive.
Truth is, the only verdict that count for me will be myself trying it.
It’s still one of the main concerns I have after pCARS 1 and 2. A demo would certainly help alleviate it.Youtuber GamerMuscle thinks it's better than GT and Forza on a pad.
And Codemasters site. He's still CEO on the SMS website: https://www.slightlymadstudios.com/team/
Ian Bell

See, it's not so much that I object to a fun driving game, I am very concerned though. And maybe still bitter and hostile about the whole turn away from what I feel was a really great motorsport sim.
Anyone knows when sony lets you preload a digital a game? I'm asking cause its the first time i pre ordered a digital game so i have no experience with this and i wanna make sure i can play it the second it unlocks.
Normally two days before launch, use it all the time and wouldn’t buy a physical title now.Anyone knows when sony lets you preload a digital a game?
