The Robertson Racing ALMS entry was built by Doran. What a great car....... I have pictures of me sitting in it a few weeks after it took 3rd in class at Le Mans in 2011. The Ford GT40/GT has always been my favorite car.
The main problem with this car is the FIA Homologation rules. Once a car is out of production for 7 years it is no longer eligible for homologation. As a result, even if they released it, what would you race it against? It wouldn't fit with either the current GT3 cars or the classic racers. I'm much more hopeful that we will see a version of the 2016 Ford GT GT3 (hint, hint WMD members....)
