Not like I was for this game. I'd have to give it a long look, this game kinda showed the good side and bad side of SMS to me, and I kinda have an idea of what to expect in next game. And to essentially abandon your first game for your second in the way that was done, is rather off putting.
If 8 major patches and monthly DLC is abandoning a game then I think I'm missing something.

Edit: Just to add to this. The vast majority of devs who have a long term plan for their game franchise will have a certain number of employees working on the 'next' game before the previous one ships. And certainly after a game has shipped having your whole studio sat around in case they are needed to help patch the current game is a complete waste of money.

So take it theres plenty other games with monthly dlc and support for a year?

It is a bit of a shame we get the ugliest Indycar in the past twenty years. But, it should be fun - they're fun races to watch (which is a nice change).

Oh yea, if we don't the oval version of this IndyCar then that pretty much confirmed that ovals are not coming. So..... Yea look out for that. Unless they give us the oval version of it next month which i doubt. The dev answered someone question this morning about it and he said they are still trying to decide on a date for them.

1 year support? Not impressive. Driveclub is 2 years old and they're not stopping in fact they're expanding things. Heck BF4 is getting free stuff and updates and it's 3 years old. If SMS fix more of the crud issues then MAYBE that'd change things.

I hope it's not like the bloody pitcrew situation. Where the hell are the pitcrews? It's been 9 months. It's not a difficult thing to do they were in the alpha for God's sake. Just like ovals.

If they are adding a Nascar to the game shouldnt ovals come naturally? Sure we have Sonoma and Watkins Glen in the game but NASCAR is known for oval racing.

That is the confusing part. It's free though so maybe that's why they figured they can hold off the tracks.

I don't see why people care so much about animated pitcrews. It's a nice feature to have but it isn't essential imo. As long as the pitstop times are right it's all good for me.
In a game like F1 2015 that has only 1 car it shouldn't be a problem to implement animated pitcrews, but in a game like PCars that has a number of different car classes it probably takes a lot of work, SMS would have to work on pitcrew animations for each car class in the game, and everytime they add a new class they'd have to work on pitcrew animations for it.

So sms said on ig that no tracks this month, no daytona or indy :( and they still dont have a date for ovals, soo..... Yeah

Wait what? I just look on there and the dev never said Daytona and Indy wasn't coming. But the no date for ovals yet is true.

So, for the uninformed here... What would the driving characteristics be like compared to f1? Are we talking its going to feel just the same, or will it feel unique?

But they're not are they? the stops take way too long in every class. I don't care too much about animated pit stops, but I'd rather have them than not, for the immersion. As it is, the pits look lifeless and unrealistically sparse. I can deal with that, but when they not only advertise animated pit crews and say they'll be in the game, but also put a picture of a pit crew servicing a car on the cover of the game, it's disappointing to find they can't work out how to implement them.

Even having a basic one like GT6 would be heaps better than how it currently is.

Didn't Driveclub release October 2014? Not even 18 months old yet, but I agree with the great support, updates and patches (that actually work) that they put out pretty regularly.

School is screwing up my timing. Yes you're correct, it was 2014 wasn't it? :scared: At any rate there isn't any plan on stopping it seems.

Look at the Vette'! You know what? This must mean that GM will poke SMS into making GTE and GT3 seperate in game. :P

R34 GT-R. :D

After playing every single GT game in my lifetime, I never thought I'd be excited to drive a Skyline in a game haha, but I share your enthusiasm for the R34 in DC.

Anyway, back on topic: I see SMS are still adding to the massive list of GT3/GTE cars in the game, and while they're very nice cars, I can't help but feel like they've focused far too much on one series, and then chucked in one or two odd cars from lots of other series' into the game. I'll still buy it, because I have all the other packs, and more cars are always a good thing, but I wish they'd give some love to some of the other series' that don't have many cars in them.
