Sounds are descent, i was really worried they'd screw up the C7 but they didn't. Could be better but compared to how the Falcon was released we can't complain.

In general they re use a lot of samples, and gearbox whine is the same everywhere so i really hope that gets sorted for PCARS 2 so the cars sound more individual.

And actually the C7.R doesn't have that transmission whine as such, it's drowned out completely by the engine. xD Other than that it is good to see that the C7.R and ATS-V.R are using unique samples possibly.

Really nothing new this month, not a single new content even when you crack open the files. Found updated pictures of all February DLC cars and the upcoming AMG GT3:

Just seeing that oval version of the IndyCar still gives me hope that we see Indy and Daytona maybe next month.

One thing i like seeing about that race in the Vette at Road America, is the Vette is staying neck-a-neck with the Z4 down the straight, regardless of what difficulty they are using the AI are flat to the floor down the straights, so the fact the Vette is not losing nor gaining time shows this may be alot more competitive against the GT3 cars than the Aston GTE.
Important to note too, that the Aston is a 2011 GTE. 3 years of Development does go a long way.... :D
We know the GTE's are mega through the corners, so acceleration is the only thing that can ruin the Corvette's day now :D

If you look at IMSA, GTE and GT3 are very close in performance, although they have their own BOP...

Doesn't mean they should be in the same class. It'd be less annoying if they called it GTO or "GT Open".
Where would they have stuck the M3 back then? It was the only GTE they had and we didnt get another until late 2015. Theres a serious reasoning behind this. And the Chevy was a surprise.

Dont forget that AI also use stock Downforce and that the Z4 is one of the slower GT3s top end wise. Plus AI dont run the same physics.

Sorry for double posting by the way.

In GTE, GT2 is basically the same darn thing and it'd fit in perfectly, it was only replaced by the Z4 in GTE (ALMS/IMSA anyway) because they wanted to sell more Z4's. The car does not lack pace.

The Z4 in GT3 has a higher power output than the GTE however it weights more. But it also has less drag. It would be on par or slightly faster down a straight than the Corvette. The GTE Z4 however has more drag and suffers in straights with less power. This was proven because Marc VDS wouldnt take a Z4 GTE to LM due to its lack of speed.

Im glad the Vette has kick to it though, but I honestly hope its more like the V8 Vantage which acts like a true GTE.

Ford Falcon FG 9.0 engine sounds update

Much better! 👍

And Marc VDS didn't take it to Le Mans because the ACO would never let them enter it in the WEC.

The M3 has the same engine as the Z4 GT3, and from driving it in game, it is not the slowest.

I never said it was the slowest. Its just not the fastest down the straights. Its one of the lower end cars. The M3 is also slower down the straights than the other GT3 except in the high end past 180. The Z4 is one of the best GT3s. We wont know how good the Corvette is until its ran with another actual driver in a GT3 car.

As far as Marc VDS. That wasnt the whole thing. The Z4 literally would not compete in GTE trim at LM. It would be DESTROYED. You may be right about ACO because I dont know the whole story but I do remember the Z4 not being potent at that track.

Haha, we've all been a criminal of that Esgaloth! :P

I feel sorry for the Aston GT12 though, i feel like it might be a little bit neglected in this pack :( Anyone actually excited for it?

Then comes the sudden realization that with SMS stopping support at the 1 year mark, there's maybe 15 cars left to come, and what 5 tracks?
5 tracks in 2 months? Really? Are you sure? If so great stuff but that seems to me like pie in the sky lol

No I'm not sure, they haven't ruled out ovals yet and I believe they are still going to give us the red bull ring,

Though that is based on speculative information from this thread,

IMO DLC tracks have been meh for sms, Rapuana(?) is ok but not really suitable for all the classes, that test track thing was not all that great, and the classics are ok but they are basically another version of tracks already in game, and that last track is not that great (IMO) what happend to Muguello, Macua, Red Bull Ring and Daytona and Indy are huge maybes. My point is they could've/should've done better on DLC tracks. Not even one track from Japan or all they all owned by Honda?

This is only my opinion

I agree mate, not so much about Ruapuna Park as its a real circuit, they should have focused on giving us the real circuits but instead chose to give us fantasy tracks,
