Project cars DLC

There's no point releasing different versions of the game really. It's just to net extra sales and suck in gamers who didn't buy the game at the start. BTW after this DLC I'm done with this game.

It's a pretty common practice for games that have a lot of DLC to have a version that includes all of them. Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 had that, so why can't Project CARS?

After this recent set of shenanigans I'm really not hopeful of PCARS2.

I'm pretty sure they will be more professional with a lot more things next time around with pcars 2. I am getting kinda frustrated though that we still haven't received this DLC. Then we have no idea if that we are getting DLC after this. So it's a little confusing right now when it comes to DLC for this game.

So just another week. Can't wait to see what liveries are available. Would love to see the N24 2016 Black Falcon livery included as that's an amazing livery.

I know it is so easy to be cynical of what SMS say about PCARS2, but I genuinely believe that it will be a far more polished product and that there will be significantly less BS.

I think they learned a huge amount from the WMD programme and what pitfalls it can bring and not just the positives. Announcing content before you had obtained the appropriate licence is probably the harshest lesson of all.

The future actions of SMS could prove me wrong and I will feel a little silly should that happen, but I have a good feeling about the future of the franchise.

Also, with Assetto Corsa on console they have proper stiff competition in the console sim genre so they will need to raise their game.

Re the bit I've bolded - I wasn't around for pCARS 1 development, so don't have anything to say about that, but I have signed up to WMD for pCARS 2 and one thing I can say is that even on the inside, we don't seem to be seeing any content until the deal is done - so that definitely seems to be a lesson learned, among many others.

I was in on Pcars1, and they've definitely been keeping far more hush hush about PCars2 content - including removing a bunch of threads they had up about tracks/cars...until licenses are completely finalized I guess.

Do you guys think we'll ever see ovals in PC? It just stinks, because there's really no racing games for ps4 with true oval racing. It's something I really miss from Gran Turismo.

In this one? Sadly no, not at this rate anyway. Fingers crossed there is a slight chance at a possible release.

That's probably the only reason i miss playing gt6 right now. Because it's no oval tracks in Pcars. I miss racing at Daytona and Indy.....oh and also stage x.

AI, should be discontinued. when playing a carrier mode/championship you should be placed in a online game. No one I know play singleplayer anymore. they should concentrate on physics/mechanics/graphics/seamless multiplayer instead of taking resources on AI

Yeah, no thanks. I don't want my progression in a game based solely on how many utter nozzles I get paired with.

I heard that they can't put ovals in the game because the AI wouldn't work well. Well how does Gran Turismo, Forza, and even the old Nascar games have ovals with decent AI? How does the AI act differently on Ovals?
AI has trouble in banked sections, especially when there's other cars right next to them. There were complains about that when Mojave was added to PCars. There's also issues with slipstreaming and close wheel-to-wheel racing.
Not sure about FM5/FM6 since I haven't played them, but AI in ovals in FM4 & GT6 is terrible imo. Especially in GT6 they stick to their line and are unaware of other cars, they take me out all the time while AI is mostly unaffected by collisions and seem to have some sort of magical slipstream advantage that the player doesn't have.

I play against AI on a regular basis.
I don't like playing against random people since most of them are rammers, quitters, or spoiled kids who can't take a loss, and I don't have time to join leagues, so I hardly ever play online.
My main interest is playing offline, either in time trial against AI. Some sort of online co-op career would a nice option in addition to regular offline career against AI but a game that's online-only is a no buy for me.

so you prefer to play a soulless ai instead of having a good fight with a real person? No singleplayer race against AI have ever come close to how it is when playing with real humans.
I know there are rammers and stuff but they should incorporate something ala monitorracing script in AC so that you are pitched against clean racers if you are that yourself.
