so you prefer to play a soulless ai instead of having a good fight with a real person?
I'd rather play against a full grid of decent AI drivers than play against a full grid of rammers, or a small grid of 2-5 clean racers. That's pretty much all I saw in the years I played racing games online on PS3. If there was a console game where I could easily & quickly get into a online race with a full grid of clean racers at any time of the day at any day of the year I'd gladly play it online, but that's not the case in any of the games I own.

Games should cater to as many people as possible, have a good single player and good multiplayer. Making a game multiplayer only would be a great way to lose customers.

maybe forza or gt is your forte then because it seems you dont know what you are missing :P
Maybe we can still have both, rather than having to have only one option forced upon us in a passive aggressive manner.

Oh and can you start using good basic grammar when posting, as you agreed to in the AUP when you joined.

Passive aggressive? This is my regular normal way to be without being rude or anything just honest, and I even used smilies to let people know how to take/interpret a post. And about my grammar, you know not everybody have English as their native language and not everybody is young. It was like 15 year ago or something like that, that I had my last English lesson in school. So that is that.

but you still dont understand. Multiplayer that is woven into the career is the future, so be prepared :P
In your opinion. In my view, there will always be a place for true, offline, solo play. Please try to understand that just because you only care about online, not everyone else shares that view. I don't care about online at all - but I'd never suggest that online modes be removed just because I don't enjoy it. Please extend us 'offliners' the same courtesy :)

Edit - and yes, actually I do know what I'm missing. I wasn't clear about that, but I've given online a few goes in the past in other games, including GT. Not for me thanks.

Hehe, I know I know but the thing is that with a good system that integrates online players into the careerer/single player mode they can stop trying to take resources from other aspects of the game to make a good AI. If they do a good rating system somehow we do not need AI and we all could have so much more fun. Maybe when lacking internet connection or when a player drops out a good AI would still be needed. So, totally without AI maybe it is not possible but I am looking at a career with multi player integrated as a the future for games like this. Like with VR, no way I am going back to monitor if I buy the Oculus Rift or the Vive. I already got the dev kit 1 and it kind of sucks when getting motion sick and the resolution is not that great, but the immersion. Wholy moly it is like being in a real car.

Nope, sorry. If a game wants to incorporate online in career that's OK, as long as I can turn it 100% off. If not, I'm not buying. I can't think of much I'd dislike more in a game than forced online.

I think titanfall on xbone was totally online career, I believe I now have a horrible disease because of it...

Back on topic...

Sorry If I missed it, but anyone have a link to available liveries for the AMG? On the same note, does anyone know if we can expect one last Liveries Pack?

No that is not that.

It doesn't matter when you left school (and given the time since you left school I'm far older), the AUP is quite clear and not optional.

I don't care if the AI on ovals are mediocre. I won't be racing against them anyway. Why can't they just release them and just work on them with every patch.....

People will then complain about then being money hungry and releasing broken features.

By my Project Cars Profile page Im 80% "offliner" and 20% "onliner" and I get what you are saying. However, this system has several risks for being implemented in Project Cars and there is something a lot like that on iRacing already (it is implemented in iRacing actually). Another point at Project Cars is the number of cars on tracks. Online is 16 only, even if they made hard effort on it it would be expanded to 24, while in offline you can get 45 (thats for consoles, for High Computers it is 32 online and 56 offline). Even if that is really the future (I neither believe nor disbelive) it is a bit distant for us...

There was talk about the possibility of releasing ovals and making them available only in time trial & online, but apparently the license holders didn't agree on that because they didn't want SMS to include a lesser version of the tracks that didn't support races against AI.

Maybe the low amount of cars in P-cars has to do with the fact that they are very good modelled cars. In rain I get 45 fps with an i7 and a old gtx 670 playing online while I do get 80-120 when it is clear. Imagine 100 cars like in Raceroom at Nürburing in P-cars. Of all the games I have played, I am most impressed by P-cars car 3d models. Even the engine bay is 3d modelled, every rod, wheel suspension that connect the car to the wheels are there and the wheels themselves do connect to the road.

It seems other games are a bit less advanced and often they are just a invisible box with a 3d body inside of the box and the wheels themselves are just a animated representation that do not really roll on the surface. Drive over a curb or play with camber settings in some games and you can see that. The invisible box just glides on the surface. Maybe I am just talking nonsense but it is what I have observed how the cars behaves and interact with the road surface in some games.

But, now I read about the new Nürburing layout, cant wait. lets hope it is laser scanned but I guess it is not.

AI, should be discontinued. when playing a carrier mode/championship you should be placed in a online game. No one I know play singleplayer anymore. they should concentrate on physics/mechanics/graphics/seamless multiplayer instead of taking resources on AI
What complete and utter nonsense. More people play single player than online including me.
If ever they took AI out of racing games I would quit buying them. Online play is just awful and the game dies once the player base moves on to the next big thing in online only games. Not to mention the difficulty of finding a game with full lobbies. If we are going to be all polemic about it and make controversial statements here's mine-
Developers should cease wasting time and resources on developing multiplayer so they can keep improving AI opponents who are vastly superior to the majority of human players, and also because most people play sp anyway.

I prefer a good large single player career with a good AI!
Online Multiplayer should always be secondary, cause the day they close the server, the only thing that rest in the game is the single player career.

I learned a good lesson with GT5.. And it's a game with a larger career than GT6...once server closes... No much game left.
GT Sport that will be more focused on online Multiplayer with his esports and FIA championships will stay on the shelf in the store for me...

So,here you have other person ho prefers a good and large single player career and modes..and think that a Multiplayer online must be basic and secondary always.

I heard that they can't put ovals in the game because the AI wouldn't work well. Well how does Gran Turismo, Forza, and even the old Nascar games have ovals with decent AI? How does the AI act differently on Ovals?

Truth is nobodys AI can be described as good enough .The dedicated Nascar games the AI feels like its running on rails ,rather than individual AI if you let it play long enough what starts at the front will finish the race at the front so it feels devoid of life

GranTurismo`s AI is probably the best behaved but the slowest .Project Cars AI altho reasonable on road courses would be a nightmare on an Oval .Worst part being when you go to make it 3 wide the AI would try to move to give you room to make the pass .when it does the other AI is going to try and avoid it ,going into the wall ,every 3 wide pass you make would probably be a caution ,if the caution system works

Many people still prefer to play with AI.
It would be outright impossible in Forza to get fun through races when it would only be online.

And AI in most games is much closer to the real world compared to online lobbies who have a much higher rate of complete idiots just trying to crash you.

Online Racing only works with proper leagues and punishment for misbehaving.

I believe that SMS have over worked the AI system on Project Cars, making it too complex for it's own good. The fact that there's soo many options to you in regards to difficulty is a silly mistake. I think that having an easy, medium and hard difficulty is the way to go, rather than having a slider. The AI doesn't play fair at all and feels far too alien for me.

If you get rid of the slider, then there's the chance of the difficulty being too easy or the next one being almost impossible for some players. The difficulty slider allows people to find a sweet spot, so that competition is not impossible, but also not incredibly easy, but a challenge on their driving talent/abilities.

Though it might be good to cut it from 0-100 to 50-100.
