Is it 20 for console though? That is the question.

And of course they are, can't not have a V8 GTE or V12 GT3 in a GT3/GTE field. :P

And multiclass is in the career at least.

To be honest, the classifications are only there in name only and just apply to if you want to race that specific car. The game doesn't even acknowledge multiple classes on track at the same time, everyone is just pooled into a singular overall order.

With how hit and miss the DLC has been, id be happy for the last DLC pack just to be a 30 second advert for Ben and Jerry's.

Hey, get out of my depressed dreams

AC is a half ***** game to me. No time cycle (which is what I love to do, set the start at 12:00 and set it to x20 or x30), small *** grid (16? Pffft, please, can't add at least 5-10 more Ai?), and there are other small things PCARS can do that AC cannot. Plus there's no Indycar, no Aston's, no multi-class anywhere and no option for weather. PCARS isn't perfect, not by a long shot, but its got the features over AC. Plus if you get the normal game and pick and choose DLC you want you might only pay half of AC's price (hunting required though).

DiRT Rally and PCARS is a nice combination. 👍 DiRT Rally is award winning stuff, its the most perfect on release console racer ever made. Its a game that proves you don't have to win every race to have fun. Heck it makes winning all that much sweeter when you finally pull off a mega rally. If Codemasters can accomplish that in the next TOCA or GRID, then that'd be the best thing ever hands down.
Makes me rethink about buying this game now.

Is anyone actually gonna buy that Nurb pack next month?
Me. I've purchased all the DLC and love it all.
As for Asserto Corsa, it would have to be demonstrably better than PCars for me to buy it and I just don't think it will be. I hope it sells well though, good sales will keep these sims coming to consoles!

Regarding Assetto Corsa, I'll likely get it. Sure its not as fully featured or content packed as PCARs is but the one thing it has already in spades over PCARS: Its not buggy as hell. I literally have a Week's worth of footage that shows this game at its buggiest (including that video I posted where the loading screen decided to do its impression of early eighties arcades). It'll be the 2nd Sim Racer on the PS4 and given how much more care has been given to make sure it works, I feel it'll overcome the content issue.

I will be buying Assetto Corsa. It's lack of content and features compared to PCars is a pity but it will be a hugely enjoyable experience nonetheless. Besides, it features cars and tracks that PCars doesn't. It has Ferrari and Lamborghini and Maserati is en route too.

I just hope it eventually gets Circuit de la Sarthe to compliment the upcoming Toyota TS040-HYBRID and Audi R18 e-tron quattro.

3rd or 4th sim racer as Dirt Rally certainly counts and SLR Evo comes very close. I know you're most likely talking track based, but I can't miss a chance to mention those two.

Personally I will be picking up the N24 pack and already have AC on order (and it's cheap in the UK), because Sims.

Oh trust me, I'm aware of those two and I'm extremely jelly that everyone else has Dirt Rally while I don't. As you said, I was mainly reffering to the track based ones.

@catamount39

Well, assetto corsa hasn't 24 hours time cycle like Project C.A.R.S but have day time cycle.

The strongest point of Assetto Corsa are his very realistic accurate driving physics and FFB from what they learned with their professional simulators, all this used a lot of memory and cpu. The consoles can't do lot more if the wanted tho maintain their driving physics intact.

Other diference with Project C.A.R.S is that assetto corsa have all his tracks laserscaned.(only zaandvoort isn't) and all this with a team of only 27 people is impressive!

Here's some interesting reading information, one's is from a professional driver.
The other are a interesting interview with the devs of Assetto Corsa.

So i really think that Project C.A.R.S, assetto corsa and DiRT Rally makes a perfect combination... Assetto for Driving physics, project for his Racing immersion and Dirt, obviously for his off-road!

Back on topic.. I'm surely will be buying the DLC in may..i just love the 24H layout of Nurburgring, and the Huayra BC is also a nice addition.

PCars is by far the best mixed circuit racing game on the PS4 (probably ever) and I can't see anything comparing to it until PCars 2 is released! (except perhaps GT Sport / GT7 but we'll have to wait and see)...
I seriously doubt the next GT will provide a better racing experience than PCars. I wouldn't be surprised if the next GT has the same bs GT6 had (no options to setup proper races offline, no qualifying, catch-the-rabbit format, short races, unbalanced grid, no damage, no flags/penalties, poor AI). As much as I like the GT series one has to be realistic with their expectations.

True, I'm looking forward to driving at Mugello & Zandvoort, and I'm honestly more interested in driving the Lotus road cars than Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati.

Agreed.

I would tend to agree with you there

Agreed. Although I would also add F1 2015 to that (or 2016 when it is released).

And let's face it I'll be buying Gran Turismo Sport when it's released, and Gran Turismo 7 after that. In fact, I'll go so far as to say if it looks like a half descent racing simulator, I'll buy it

I don't really should add F1.. The Last 2 games weren't very good.. And driving physics very arcadish.
Project C.A.R.S has enough open weel to supply the F1 series..
If codemaster makes a good job like they did with Dirt Rally.. Well than indeed it would be a good add.
But with having to make one game every year it's complicated that they makes a great F1 game.

With the radical closing of the server's of GT5 and GT6 short and unfinished... I doubt that i will buy GT Sport and GT7..and now that they are more online focused less interesting it is to me.I really like a good and large offline mode..

So i probably will look toward Project C.A.R.S 2 and hope that assetto corsa succeed on console and makes that other developers ports more PC simulation game to the consoles.

Cheers mate

are the servers for gt6 down??

I've played all F1 games by CM and imo they've been getting worse each year. F1 2015 is very bare bones in terms of modes & options, handling is weird, AI isn't that great, bugs from previous games are still present, suggestions/requests from fans have been ignored. I love F1 but I'm not expecting much from F1 2016.

Pity open wheel racing in Project Cars is garbage (particularly Formula A). I think Codemasters are doing a great job with the F1 series, and the 2015 instalment was the best to date (albeit with lack of career mode which I don't really use anyway).

Looking forward to F1 2016!

How can you say the AI isn't great, the AI in F1 2015 is the best in the business! You try doing a full grid race at Monaco in Project Cars and make it past about the 4th corner...

If the physics and graphics in F1 2015 are anything to go by, I think F1 2016 will be a cracker game!

To be fair, with the tone that xMattyG, Tietmatmarduk and Aarva (can't be bothered to go check the actual spelling on their names ) have used about F1 2016 in the testing phase, it might actually be something quite astonishing for once...in a good way.

As much as I like F1 games I'll have to respectfully disagree on that.
F1 2013 was the best one imo, best handling, most content (the only one I still own, I sold all other F1 games by CM). F1 2015 had better graphics than previous games but the handling is weird, cars have no grip and slide way too much, features were removed, bugs from previous games are still present.

Not in my experience.
I've done lots of races against medium & hard AI, I've been hit in the back and had AI do pit maneuvers on me a lot of times, there's also the issue of AI cars that leave the pits the exact moment I'm starting a flying lap and block me.

I'd love for CM to prove me wrong and release an amazing F1 game, but based on their previous record with F1 games I'm not expecting much from them.

Completely agree with you!

The IA of F1 2015 don't know even where you are on track. I didn't like it at all.
Driving physics are completely garbage.
Those i most enjoyed where those from 2011.but still to arcade..

And 2015 without career... Bad thing.. Was the most important part of the games
I really don't think F1 2016 will be a good game either.

At least their AI can overtake on most tracks, PCars AI sadly seem to struggle with that on numerous circuits.
