I don't think the controller you use has anything to do with repeated glitches, especially online where cars are almost always bouncing all over the place (or randomly appearing out of nowhere)before the green flag even drops. I'm not sure its the best when at times you can't start a race without either cars disappearing or mysteriously hitting things that aren't even visible. Maybe you're the lucky one not seeing these but there are countless videos that show how beyond buggy this game is, which is ridiculous considering this has been in development for 4-5 years. Great in terms of content and other things but The best? Not even close.
Never seen cars bouncing or appearing out of nowhere...that sounds like Forzas flying cars which is down to poor internet connection. Hate to say it but not seen your other problem either.

i have seen bugs in the game though especially the land mine bug which was rife early on but seems eridacted now but even with its bugs its still way ahead of the competition on consoles currently. AC and GT Sport on the horizon will hopefully give it a run for its money.

PCars is easily the best console sim of all time (some might say gt6 or forza 6 but theyd be wrong) yet it sounds like from alot of people on here that its truly awful....i just dont get it especially since the insane praise Driveclub gets from the GTP community.

Sometimes i think were playing 2 totally different games or if these people are playing on the dreaded dual shock.

I strongly agree. Every time people mention project cars they bring up bugs and that's it. They look pass everything else. How good the AI is except formula AI, damage, weather cycle, how organize the classes are (not perfect but its still good) and career and other thing's.I'm subscribed to motogames and every time he uploads a Pcars vs some other game or just Pcars in general all you see in the comments is, Drive club is better, this game is so buggy, the graphics look like crap and etc..... Like can give them credit for the things i just name. I find it funny (now) that people call this game broken when it's far from it. Yea i agree it was a mess during the first two month's but they cleaned up a ton ever since then. This game is far from perfect but at the end of the day it's a great game. Quit being oblivious and recognize the obvious things that's great about the game. Its a difference in having a opinion and just being oblivious and ignoring obvious great things. Also evey game that's part of the same genre has a it's strong area's. Like Pcars is feature packed with weather cycle 24hr, Career mode and a few other things. Assetto Corsa is praised for its physics and handling model and online racing. Pcars has some stronger area's then Assetto corsa and Assetto corsa has stronger area's then Pcars. Why can't these games be liked for what they are...

PCars has issues and I myself have posted suggestions & complaints in the official forums. The weird thing is that even with all the issues PCars is still the best racing experience one can get on console

I love PCars. I've never enjoyed a racing game more. That being said...somewhere...in some dimension exists the game with:

Assetto Corsa: Physics
Project Cars: Tracks and Atmosphere
RRE: Sound
Forza: Licensing Money

I guess we can all dream. :D

i think id go with assetto corsa track quality but the line-up from pcars, not sure if its the physics but from the tracks ive driven at the bumps, lines and references are way closer in AC.

oh and graphics engine would be frostbyte from nfs. man did that look fantastic, if only it wasnt night all the time.

Don't get too excited, there's nothing confirmed yet, but it's a step in the right direction:

Good news for people interested in getting the GOTY edition:

"fs7_x: @projectcarsgame are all patches & dlc on the disc? No downloads required?
projectcarsgame: @fs7_x No additional downloads are required. Everything is on the disc."

the arcade handling and the unrealistic sways in the back of all cars when loosing control did it for I when i tried it....pcars
PCARS isn't good with controls either though. With DS4 there's a constant fight to keep the blasted thing in a straight line, some cars better than others. Pad handling is more important in my mind since having a wheel is impossible for me, money and space wise.

However, that statement on DC's handling is inaccurate. It's not that arcadey, not at all. It does lean towards arcade over sim, but they optimised it for pads which is a blessing.

Driveclub is a really good game, but 100% Arcade, pure fun, good difficult level and without bugs and issues like Project C.A.R.S, but with a wheel it isn't really good and the graphics are awesome but at 30fps..

Project C.A.R.S is a racing simulator, great on wheel, playable on controler with great physics and good graphics with 60fps.. But with too many issues and bugs.. Most of them in Multiplayer, and that's a shame really...

Two excellent games each in his own way.

Then you got Dirt Rally, awesome game on controler, on wheel, good graphics with 60Fps , great physics, nice Multiplayer.. For me one of the best racing games and the best off off-road in years.

Now I'm awaiting Assetto Corsa, if it comes with the same quality and physics than the PC version, than we will have the best driving simulation game seen on console..

Really good console generation for the Simracing fans!

There are super cheap wheels with super cheap lap mounts but that's still over $100. There's no point in playing PCars with a controller. It's a racing simulator. You need a wheel to properly simulate the racing. I never understood how controller users playing racing sims take themselves seriously.

Oh that's wonderful, thank you very much for that helpful statement. Some of us can't spend $100+ like that dang it. It really isn't an option for everyone. DiRT Rally proved its possible to be decent with a pad and excellent with a wheel. And from those testing it, AC will prove it too. Do sim's going on console need to be completely biased to pad? No. But helping those who can't get wheels but still want to enjoy the game isn't impossible.

DiRT Rally is an example of what we need for the next sim racer, a nice balance between pad and wheel bias. And game quality. From day 1 its worked 100% perfectly for me and I'm EXTREMELY happy I bought it. AC hopefully proves to be the same, though I'll wait on it first.

I'm used to playing rFactor with a Xbox360 controller, I never had problems playing PCars with a DS4. I use mode 3, realistic aids, I'm a fairly smooth driver. Unlike GT/Forza PCars isn't very friendly with sloppy jerky inputs.
I agree that wheel is better for racing games, but some of us prefer controller for convenience and don't want to deal with things such as cost, space to setup/storage wheel & pedals, compatibility, etc.

Sorry it just is. Graphically better, much more playable, much more addictive, it's a game. Project cars is very good but it's just not as fun as a game.

I currently prefer Driveclub - I like the visuals, noise, tracks and that it loads quickly.
But I am casual player who only has 20 or 30 mins to have a little race. I can pick a short event and enjoy getting a faster time or higher score.

Project Cars is great If I have a few hours free, but I rarely do
