Or you could say they're doing a Kansas City Shuffle.
Thanks for that @fortbo it looks great and I cannot wait for that DLC. They did a decent job on the flywheel sound too. It is not on the level of other cars and the flywheel to be louder but it is not bad.Gameplay Video
It does need to be a bit louder compared to the engine sound though. Thanks for that @fortbo it looks great and I cannot wait for that DLC. They did a decent job on the flywheel sound too.
July. The date is un known!Does anyone know when we are getting this months DLC?
This is how it should sound.
I posted the video shared by @fortbo above on the PCars forum earlier and had it swiftly removed. They said they did not want to spill the beans for those who are not aware of what content is on the way. There is a friendly moderator over there who was very nice about it.
Here is another video of the upcoming Audi DLC showing each car and a little gameplay of the R18 e-tron quattro which was posted on the official forum several times presumably by a WMD member.
SMS Studio Head Ian Bell reckons the console patch is up to 2 weeks away. Based on that I assume the DLC is up to 3 weeks away. I expect it to arrive with the PS Store update after the patch.Anyone know when this is being released?
I think he is just covering his basses. If he says a week and it takes 8 days, people will get annoyed!SMS Studio Head Ian Bell reckons the console patch is up to 2 weeks away. Based on that I assume the DLC is up to 3 weeks away. I expect it to arrive with the PS Store update after the patch.
Anything in there about the tracks? Cars are one thing, tracks are another.
Somewhere they stated that 12 more tracks are on the way.
Assuming these are mostly what the beta testers had access to during initial builds, we can assume a couple of DLC packs and the occasional single track+ cars.
Assuming we get licenses (or the tracks are slightly altered to be "notTrack" models), we can plan on the following:
-Indianapolis speedway (with infield track options)
-Daytona speedway (with infield track options)
-One or two others that I forgot about. I'm guessing SMS may try to put a small single miler like Bristol in to appease the NASCAR fans.
These ovals will probably be an oval pack...possibly with the upcoming Indy Car or Fusion stock car. Who knows.
Then there should be a big historic track pack. We had:
-Historic Monza
-Historic Badenring
-Historic Spa
-Historic Silverstone
-Historic Rouen (?)
(there may have been more that I can't remember)
If they call come together it'll be a pretty big DLC pack --- but I don't think we're expecting a bunch of different layouts for the historic tracks. Just the primary historic version run by Formula 1 (hay bales! yay!).
There is the Solitude Renstrecke as well, and a couple of fake tracks we used to have access to. Then there are surprises like Ruapuna (coming with the Audi DLC). This came out of nowhere. They may also be planning another cart track or two - unsure.
So plan on a couple of big track-packs and the others to likely come out piecemeal with a handful of cars. These are the tracks I remember running when they were available in the beta.
I imagine the circuits will come individually with some cars in the pack as wih the upcoming Audi Pack. If they did a €10 - €15 pack with a few circuits I think they would sell less of them as we are more likely to buy several packs at a lower price over a period. We would quite possibly spend more that way.Well, I think it depends on the number of variants too. I'd imagine maybe $14.99 for five or more tracks (possibly with a free car or two thrown in?). Alternatively they may not do track packs and just launch a track + three cars like the Audi pack.
I haven't searched too much on WMD to see if they've stated plans.
Of course Renault is in...we have the Clio's and the Lotus 98T. And Dallara is known because of the Indycars.Renault and Dallara are on the way and apparently Toyota too. The 'Suggestions' thread on the PCars forum is probably going to benefit PCars2 as the DLC road-map for this game is presumably planned.
I read that they got Porsche but i dont know if it is for Pc1 or Pc2Of course Renault is in...we have the Clio's and the Lotus 98T. And Dallara is known because of the Indycars.
Toyota however, that's a nice surprise to hear!
That's true. Oops! I was thinking about the Laguna BTCC. In fact I went through the car list in my head and thought - Yeah, there's no Renault. I will share my genius with GTP - I feel quite silly now.Of course Renault is in...we have the Clio's and the Lotus 98T. And Dallara is known because of the Indycars.

Remember, we also have maybe 50-60% of the announced licensed cars right now. So, even if we only get a few more manufacturers (lots of rumours about a few...namely Nissan and possibly another VAG company).
Also, at some point SMS is going to put down a road map for the "end" of Project Cars 1. It may be a couple years out etc., but at some point they'll stop pursuing licenses for 1 and move onto 2. No point in trying to convince new companies to come on board 2-3 years from now if SMS doesn't have time to produce and sell the Project Cars 1 DLC for them.
So there are a decent number of cars still left to be put into the game (at last glance in my other thread we had 26 cars with WIP screens) and then several more that haven't been started. I'd expect another 3-4 manufacturers at most by the end of PCars 1. I'd be chuffed to be wrong though.
