I wrote "bashing on public forums". For a registered member, i don't see how it can help the development of the game. Also, saying that lately the progress is mainly in graphics is just wrong since the art team is working on another game.
Stating what's wrong is ok, but one should also mentions what's good, at least once in a while 👍

Is this open to public again yet, i want to buy in even if its just team member. Looking to build a Pc tower to link to my TV or 3 screen set up. Got the rig for GT5 so easy to move over. With the editing liveries, is there a separate program or is it done in beta?

No. What he is saying is he complains about the physics here but his last post on the WMD forum relating to the game was in 2012.

To clarify, my name other there is wesker6664. However, i haven't seen your posts in the various physics/cars/tracks threads ? What's the point in bashing the game on public forums, while you're supposed to contribute to the development by communicating feedback and ideas to the devs ?
And about your "tip", thank you but i play regularly GTR2, Netkar and pCARS. Excuse me to believe that the team that developed my favourite racing game ever (GTR2) is able to improve it in every aspect possible.
BTW, i agree that there's something wrong with Wisconsin. I don't like this track at all, but i know its rather behind in development. The little details of the road surface will be added near the end, once they're sure that everything else is correct.
For now, Suzuka Monza Norschleife Brno and Zolder are really great :)

Dahlsim, you are taking this way too serious. You won't see my input in posts in the "various physics/cars/tracks threads" While I like pCARS and all, it's not the type of game that wants my input. I'll leave that up to the folks that are inspired to do so. Please don't read too much into my statement, for the most part I am too busy to spend a lot of times in a lot of forums.

These days my time is spent here and iRacing, I have other interest that I need to tend to. Also, please don't think I am bashing pCARS, here again you are taking this way too personnel. If an opinion is different then yours, then that is alright, let it go, it's my opinion and it should not upset you.

I see way too much of that in this pCARS thread, I have to walk on eggshells in here, one wrong word and 2 or 3 of you guys are very offended, relax, its a game.

Years ago I owned a Taxi, when I first started my trainer gave me some great advice, he said "let people talk down the the company", "let people talk down your car", "let people talk down everything" except one thing, I asked him what was the one thing, he replied "you" Don't stand for anyone talking down to you.

Perhaps you can learn from that, I never talked down to you, I never called you any names. As a paying customer, I am free to say whatever I choose about pCARS, whether you agree with me or not, please try and see the difference.

I get the feeling that there are people putting lots of time into learning pCARS nuances and tweaking stuff (particularly the FFB but also graphics to get the best blend of visuals and playability for a particular rig), then there are others presumably like me who keep the launcher updated regularly, but only start up pCARS once every month or so just to get a feel of how they are progressing.

Right now for me pCARS isn't close enough to "pick up and play" for the time I have available, and I tend to get quickly frustrated when I have a go, for instance due to being excited at a new car added but then trying it and finding very early place-holder models or at spending more of the time I have available getting the settings of the latest build tweaked and playable than actually driving. So I'm a member who is not really participating in helping to make the game better, but since there's still a year to go there's plenty of time yet.

Once they are closer to beta I'll make some more time and dig into the game far more. For now I just love reading this thread for the awesome pictures, keep them coming guys!

Just an action shot from replay and free cam view, captured using fraps.
Settings are pretty much max on triples but in this case no AA was used.

Loving the BMW GT3 cars even if I am currently just using the X360 controller with the temp PC placement.

Reading this is just sad. As a community, can't we have a normal and constructive discussion about racing games ? I don't want to fight with anyone here, i just suggested to provide balanced feedback. I don't like the M3 E30, it feels floaty and heavy ; but the E92 GT is fun and (hopefully, i've yet to drive one :D) realistic 👍

Can't wait to hear the gear wobble in today's build !!!

EDIT : disappointed, just a generic effect on 2 or 3 cars. Still MUCH work to do on the audio side.

Dat sound...
Can't wait for the final version of either P-C.A.R.S, iRacing or Asseto Corsa!!
Cool but that version of Z4 (the ALMS wide-body one) is not yet featured in the sims you mentioned. So far it's only in a payware mod for rFactor 2 (using a different name because of licensing). The same people of the fictional DTM 2012.

Yes, but the GT-3 car still has the same engine and that glorious sound  so the aero differences don't bother me at all! Besides the RLL wide body kit is hideous!!

Updated my build today , went from 441 to current. Definite improvements in the feel of the few cars I tested , FFB is still average though*.
The graphic optimisations (?) make my PC happy , CPU temperatures hang below 50C now , nice :)

*Not a complaint , just an observation :)

Hardly a complaint if it's still the same. ;) And even if, why do you fear to complain about bad points related to the game? I see no reason for this, no game is perfect.

Oh dear, another loooooong year to wait....

I agree with you on the FFB. I feel it is all over the place currently. I mean this in the sense that there is no real sense of balance from one car to the next and what you would expect from each change FFB wise.
That said, there might be small enhancements to the FFB from time to time. However, until the Seta Tyre Model and the respective tyres for the cars is/are finished the FFB balancing stage is not reached.

That said, I still haven't tried the dirt/off-road tyres as I was too busy upgrading my tactile and building my hydraulic handbrake. Might have to give it a whirl after a good snooze.

People "complaining" about FFB have options to tweak it or download from the forums.

If not just remember that by default it comes ONLY from the tyres, hence why the tweaker files exist. Its like this because the idea is to comment on STM alone without other effects.

Oh, BTW, its pre_alpha :-p :D

PS: and of FFB is a matter of taste and highly subjective. Try to find your settings instead of arguing. peace.

By the way: The coolest thread atm @ WMD is the prototype design contest imho. So cool to see several people coming up with really great looking designs... that might eventually end up in the game. The thought is still mindblowing to me and there are already 3 of my liveries in! :D
