Yes. I can't post it here but SMS have a very clear timetable of progress from alpha phase which begins very soon through to completion late in the year. So it's still on target, if that's what you were wondering. Pre-alpha is the longest phase in game development, alpha and beta are much shorter but as said above the 'beta' definition has been skewed somewhat in recent years. pCARS won't be in beta for years. They aren't even at the beta?
There are several Uk locations and car manufactures featured in the game maybe something can be doneIn order to qualify for the tax breaks, a cultural test must be passed. Points are doled out based on whether development takes place in the UK, where the team originates from and what roles they perform. There are also elements that explore the content of the game, with the amount set in the UK, the number of British characters and the focus of the story all affecting the game's eligibility.
Tax breaks for UK developers, I think this might help Slightly Mad Studios

I know how long our game planned to be in beta, I was referring to other games which seemingly do remain labelled as a beta for a year or more and making it clear pCARS would not be like that.Years? Beta is planned for a couple of months from release. I think you may have meant ages.

There was a video floating around some time ago regarding the pit stop animations, which if I recall correctly, looked very promising.
Are there any plans to add dirt buildup to the final game?
It is a bit unrealistic that in every photo or video from pCARS all the cars are completely clean and the mechanical parts (like the wheel rims, the exhaust or the engine and suspension of the Lotus 49) are always shiny.
It would be great if the car gets dirtier as the race progresses while also taking into account 'trips' offtrack (more dirt, mud during wet races, etc). Furthermore have the windshield get dirty when following other cars and have it cleaned during pit-stops by an animated pit crew.
Shift 2 had dynamic dirt buildup and made the racing look real and gritty so I am sure there is something planned for pCARS. But it would be nice if we had some sort confirmation.
Also worth mentioning to those who haven't noticed, it's pre alpha.
It's Alpha now though... it's April 1st. Or was it by the end of April that it would all go Alpha. We're not too far off at least, and than it will be 'feature complete', or it's said to be that it should be at that stage.
Quick question guys, I am a team member... Am I supposed to have acces to the Audis? I had the R18 and A4 DTM before but can't seem to find the Audis at all.
Am I missing something?
What game is Project CARS like?
Project CARS is a racing simulation so is comparable with popular console franchises Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo whilst also providing the kind of advanced features usually reserved for PC-only simulators like iRacing and rFactor.
